I guess I won't preorder. My parents don't like paying through the internet () and I still prefer going to the store I think.

I've learned not to do pre-orders like this, unless there's an added benefit to it such as a shirt or other exclusive content. It's just as easy (and better, I think) to go buy the album from the store on the release day.

Same. CDs never get to me on the release date (wich they are supposed to, it's not called "pre-order" for no reason). And it's way more exciting going into a store, looking like crazy for the CD and then holding it in your hands when you found it.

Pre Order Advance Notice.

You can sign up with your email to be the first to pre-order the trilogy.

woow this is soo cool, though i guess, i won't do that, cos i'll just buy the albums when they come out...when i'm lucky i even get them a day before :shifty:

...somehow i have the feeling that we'll hear a lot in the next time, i mean, now you can pre-order the trilogy, they give away 2 VIP tickets for a concert on their next tour...and i'm sure we're not far away of any other news

Wait a second.. I'm on their mailing list now.. Does that mean I have the chance of winning a VIP ticket?? That websote doesn't say anything about that.. Where do you have that from and why does the GDA say that, too? I'm a little confused now.. Some say they don't like to preorder because theres no tshirt or other extra included but if you have the chance of winning a VIP ticket I'd say that is a great special.. ???

Contest is a different thing and getting a mail notifying that pre ordering has started is a different thing.

aren't the chance of winning a VIP ticket and the pre-order of the album two different things? ...i think when you pre-order the CDs the "you're now in the mailing list" (or whatever it says) is probably that they can give you news via your mail or sth and the VIP ticket winning thingy is on another site, as far as i know ;)

Edit: too late

Okay, so the top post on GDA has nothing or not that much to do with the second post? Because the second one says something with winning VIP tickets, too.

Thanks a lot! :)

ah now i see what you meant...nope, i think they just wrote it in the 2nd post to show that there'll come some news on the next day, but it had nothing to do with the rest of the 2nd post, and the first post are the news then ;)

I know! I've preordered CDs a few times, and they never get to me by the release date. They're alwasy 1-7 days late. That doesn't work for me - I must have the album the day it comes out, hah!

And I agree, there's something special about searching the store(s) to find your new CD. I love it. I hope record stores never die out, because I love them and finding new music

I agree, there's no reason to preorder it unless it has cool bonus stuff. Like a shirt and poster and bonus ep (like with Kelly Clarkson last year - I know I keep mentioning her, but it seems relevent, lol).

The only time I preorder CDs is if it either comes with cool other stuff, or if it's a less popular band and I don't think I'll be able to find it in stores the day it comes out.

Either way, I always buy it in store that day too (if I can) in case it doesn't arrive on time.

Right! When you go into shop, you run to the right department, you look like madman but it's worth. I love this feeling when I get the CD from shelve. I sometimes jump of joy! And I don't want to pre-order cause in some shops some CD's, books and games can be bought before the official premiere (like AAF or The Sims 3), especially in my area :P

I hope to see tracklist soon!

To those who are confused: Warner is offering an email notice for when UDT is available for pre-order. It's not available for pre-order yet. The VIP thing is through Pandora and Sony and is separate from a pre-order thing.

I'm going to pre-order it when it's possible. Just in case it won't arrive in time, I'll go to the store and buy another copy and sell the other one.

Me, too. But our local store doesn't have all the new releases from time to time, so I'm afraid I wouldn't get one there.

Same here  Even if I have to wait 1 or 2 weeks, I don't care, I'll wait!

I'm excited to get the CD in my hands after finding it in teh store and start thinking something geek like "I've been waiting a long time or this moment to come, I'm destined for anything at all"

I'm on the mailing list but I'll probably buy it in a CD shop.. just because of the feeling as you said and because of the chance to catch some extras like a promotion poster :shifty: I got one when I watched AAF in the cinema

I needed a minute to figure out what Matt wanted to tell us with UDT

:sorry::ermm: ... I better get use to that soon

In my town I can't buy any rock CD's, so I'll go to another city. I've got motivation to remember how to drive

I'll have to go to the next big city as well.. I think I'll make a UDT-release party out of that trip, I hope some of my friends will join the party and come with me

There's no music store in my town. We've got about 13 churches and many supermarkets but any music store. The only place when I can buy CD's is Carrefour but there's only pop and folk music  I just got used to go to another city to buy records or to buy them via Internet.
