The Trilogy Albums: ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré!

You can't say any of the songs we've heard lack strength yet, truly. Those are all rough, early versions of them. Any and all of the songs we've heard thus far will most certainly be much more polished then they were at the shows from months ago. We also don't know how many of them will actually make it to the three records. I'd love Carpe Diem and Nuclear Family to be there, but there's no guarantee of it.

I'd hope Let Yourself Go will make it. It's such an awesome song.

I'd want Let Yourself Go, Stray Heart, Carpe Diem and Stop When The Red Lights Flash (Sure everyone will call it SWTRLF)

Truth is that I'd love having Carpe Diem as soon as possible, but it's true that it lacks some strenght. I hope they release first their most powerful and energic song. Then all the others.

well, in my opinion Carpe Diem would make an amazing first single, the message is: "Seize the day" and i think we all seize the day when we finally can listen to the first single or the album and it's an amazing song, so they could startb with it, in my opinion Let Yourself Go is better, but if they started with Care Diem they'd have an amazing start and if then Let Yourself Go came out, it would even get better...i also think it wouldn't be good to start with the best song as a single, i'd prefer the 2nd best song as the first single and then the best one afterwards ;) ...mainly to show all those not so big GD fans that their album kicks ass and every single is better than the last one ;) ...that's at least how i'd do it, but since it's green day we don't really have to worry, their songs all kick ass, so it's difficult to even say which song is the best one, so it's also difficult to say which songs they should chose

Truth!

I want Caroe Diem to be the first single cause I love this song. But I think that guys (and mostly Rob) will chose the best one for the first single. That must be something catchy what will interest people for Uno. We don't know all the songs from the first board (propably Uno).

I think there might be a strong possibility that the first single will be a song we all have not heard before.

Now, that would kick ass

How funny would it be if the guys released a single in August/early September and on the release of UNO we all looked at the tracklist in anticipation to see the song and it turned it it was DOS or TRE it was on.

very unlikely but it would be hilarious

I swear I thought that this same morning! But yeah, very unlikely... Anyway I'm dyingof curiosity to see what songs will make it to Uno and actually I'm very curious to know what song will be my favorite. Maybe it's that one called "Little Boy Called Train" hahaha

Something I don't recall people talking about: Green Day is back to random names for songs and albums!

no one, i guess, though i knew they have more than those about 20 songs we've heard from the secret shows (where no one believed me back then xD) but even i would have never thought they'd EVER release a trilogy

What if, to get around the close together album release dates, they released a single earlier than they usually do?

The silence and the more frequent appearances in magazines suggests something big is coming....

How do you guys think the singles will be handled? I think there will be two singles for every album, so in the end we have six singles for the whole trilogy. Doesn't seem like that much, but keep in mind that there will be a new album every two months, so it's pointless to have five singles for every album because singles are there for advertisement for the album - so it's pointless to release a single for Uno when Dos is already out. Two singles for every album seems fine.

Well I guess it can be possible for them to release the first single a bit earlier for Uno, so they can release a 2nd single for Uno just before that album is released. But after that it is only 2 months til Dos, so they only have time for 1 single to promote Dos and then Tre is released. So eventually they would have to release a 2nd single for Dos when Tre is already released.

I am not sure how they will handle the singles and how many singles they are planning to do per album. But 1 single per album seems quite doable at the moment. But as soon as all 3 albums have been released, god knows what they will do with the singles. Maybe they start with the 2nd single for Uno after Tre is released and then do a 2nd single for Dos and Tre after that.

Let's wait and see what will happen

My opinon

3 albums ( obviously we know )

8 songs on each

2 or 3 singles each album

Carpe Diem - first single :)

I come in here seeing there's lots of responses hoping there's something new and then I realize we're just talking about the same things again. :P

But I concur with the thought Carpe Diem would make a good first single. Then again, a lot of the songs we've heard have potential to be good, I guess we'll just see what happens.

And what if they decide they'll have only 2 months instead of more time to realease all the singles they want for Uno and they release 2 singles before Uno is out to save time?

I really think that we will be getting more than 8 songs per album, because 24 songs is really just 21st CB + a few bonus tracks, and it would seem like they were scamming us if they did that. I was thinking more like 10 -14 songs per album. Though I do think that Carpe Diem would be a good first single. Either that or Stay the Night.

it think too that there are more than 8 songs on each album because they could but 24 on one or two cds- a triology isn´t needed.

I think that each album will have a normal amount of songs, like independent albums. If not, they could have summed everything in 2 albums.

I think the band will treat us with 3 great collection of songs leading into each "a whole story into it". I'd love to listen to the albums one after another. I think that they wouldn't give us anything but the best product.

First single out in August, before Summer Sonic shows (August 18th, 19th).

I don't think there will be a certin number of singles per album. Won't be like "Oh, we need two singes from this album and two from this." They'll choose the singles they want. Something that sounds plausible is one from each album to start, with each coming out a month or so before each album comes out.

For example:

1st - August

2nd - October

3rd - December

Then choose whatever track from any of the three albums for the next single or two. That's how I see it, based on how singles are released in rock music (not counting pop where an artist releases a new song every couple weeks because pop radio listeners can't be content with a single every two months and will forget about an artist if they're not constantly releasing singles).

If my previous post said there would be 8 songs on each album I realised that's too low

So how about 10 songs on UNO , 12 songs on DOS and 13 songs on TRE ?

Seems realistic

I wish that were possible from the start

Anything is realistic. Hopefully we'll know in July sometime. So let's stop guessing at number of tracks per album. It's a safe bet that there will be anywhere between 8 and 12 per album.

It's fun to guess , but you are right let's just all wait until we find out sometime in july or August :)
