The Trilogy Albums: ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré!

My vacations would be complete if Green Day released a single before September.. just one song.. that's all I'm asking for. Not the album artwork, but a single

During my vacations Uno will be released;) But I want a concert in Poland, no matter if in this year or in 2013, but in Poland. I hope that on this tour Green Day will play here. No matter how long, but here, in small country with Euro 2012 ;)

Looking at dates, Know Your Enemy was released month before the record, so I think that the first single should be on August.

And that single should be Stray Heart ♥

I don' think they're going to use the same font twice. It doesn't seem logical.

Anyway, it is possible that the artwork of the albums will be graffiti-themed. You never know. They had a spray-paint theme for Shenanigans, American Idiot had spray-paint artwork for the album (special edition) and 21CB. :sherlock:

Agreed. They've never done it before, why start now?

They're more creative than that

I didn't have to. I was quite bored on my religion education at school, so I tried to learn this font. The funniest is that I was sitting in front of my teacher in the first row  There was also another reason. My friend who is fan of Metallica wrote many times "Mathematica. Master of numbers" in typical for Metallica font on the blackboard, so I wanted to write something conected with Math in Green Day style. Font from 21st Century Breakdown was the easiest for me ;)

Ah, I see. :)

Maybe someone wrote about it before. If yes, sorry.

During washing the dishes I was thinking and thinking about the reason why 3 album with 10-12 song will be released. Maybe there will be 3 different stories or maybe there will be one, but divided into 3 acts, like on 21st Century Breakdown.

...or there will be 3 different themes. 1 for each album. :woot:

I'll be fine wether they're concept albums or not. If they aren't I'll get more relatable songs, and if they are I'll get a really nice story. Really, they'll do something epic anyway. I don't think Stray Heart or Carpe Diem, just to name the ones I know well, could fit in a concept album. So my guess is they aren't.

My guess is that the albums will have a loose concept. Plus if you only heard AI and Whatsername back in '04, you could assume it wasn't going to be a concept album either. Its hard to tell.

3 acts, 3 albums I like that idea..

I'd like them to be concept albums.. they're fucking magical.. :P I mean, you can see them with so many different point of views.. They have the story to tell, the meaning behind the songs, and the interpretation each person gives to the songs .. y'know what I mean?

oh and Carpe Diem and Stray Heart don't have to be necessarily part of the story, like AI. That song goes with the theme of the album but it doesn't really fit with the story..

Hm good points.Although maybe AI was a though of JOS'.I'll definitely like whatever they do as long as they release Stray Heart and Carpe Diem.

I like the storybehing AI,but I like the touch 1039 SOSH has too. It's hard for me to tell,I may be wording this bad,but it's like "You left me and I left you behind, your doors are closed now" or something like that.I liked that and it didn't tell any story, but they were really relatable.I may prefer that for the trilogy this time around.

well, i somehow have the feeling the next album will be kind of a concept album...the most songs are really happy, e.g. about sex or about enjoying every minute....e.g. It's Fuck Time (though i doubt they'd put it onto the record), Carpe Diem, Let Yourself Go (i think) etc...and Billie's statement "To reminisce is to die!" would fit to nearly all songs...also when, i think it was Rob, Rob said: "The first thing people might want to know is whether it's concept or not" (or sth similar, i don't remember the exact quote) Billie answered with: "I'd say there's a story behind the whole thing"

...that doesn't really mean that it's concept, but it means that those songs do have a connection, even if just a vague one ;)

Does anyone else have the worrying thought that this trilogy would be a way of a band finishing their career?

i really hope not!

i think they said sometime that they wanted to keep playing til they drop and whilst getting older will mean bigger gaps between albums (well if you think of Uno Dos Tre as one project) i don't think they are anywhere near finished yet

pretty sure Billie's comments in the announcement video went something like "what a way to kick off a new decade with three albums". that implies to me he is thinking of doing a lot more than Uno Dos Tre

I had that too. Then remembered Billie's quote: "No one leaves this band unless it's in a koffin!" I know this can't really be taken seriously and that they won't be playing when they're 90 but still...Now I think of it more like a new beggining.

I actually think that if that should be the case, then not planned. I think they're releasing this triology because they're creative as hell at the moment and they want to live it out, not with intention to break off. I just don't believe that this is the case. :)

They might. They could stay together like the Rolling Stones.

Without the change of members of course.

Could someone write what he's saying? xD I don't understand a fuck with all those girls screaming :/

"This is my favorite show we've ever played in Manchester. And I swear to god I would never want to be in any other band than Green Day I hate when bands break up, all of my favorite bands either someone has died or they've broken up- I have no idea. It's like your parents or something. But you've gotta to wheel me away in a fucking coffin to get me out of this fucking band."

"This is my favorite show we've ever played in Manchester" then he said sth like "alright" or "tonight"

"I swear to god, I never wanna be in any other fucking band than Green Day!!" then he said sth like "I swear you"

"I hate when bands break up. All of my favorite bands either someone died or they broke up" then i think he said "like they were our parents or something"

and after that he said: "You gotta wheel me away in a fucking coffin to get me out of this fucking band"

ah shit too late
