The Trilogy Albums: ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré!

Totally. They really seem to be in something like their most creative time as a band. And I think that's what you can see when you watch the studio updates as well. Not only creative, but they're freakin' having fun! I didn't even think about the possibility that they're "cleaning out the closet". They seem to have enough new, amazing stuff.. and I have trust in that

Absolutely. :)

I don't like to be nasty, but could you please stop posting meaningless shit?

I don't think they're cleaning up their closet, because then the songs would sound veru different between each other, since that would be a mix of unreleased material from every era.

Is that bad? Why would we want 30+ songs that sound the same?

In my opinion, an amount of 9–13 songs is perfect. 18 songs are way too many for me. I expect (exactly?) 10 songs on each album of the trilogy. Around 30 new songs within half a year are plenty.

The phrase, the more the merrier springs to my mind....

Besides, 30 songs is only two albums worth. I reckon that the minimum we need to warrant releasing three albums is about 45 songs.

Yet recording 45 songs in such a limited amount of time does sound almost impossible

Yeah,I think that the fact of them being many songs doesn't imply they are bad.I prefer them releasing more, because for example if they have 30 epic songs, why would it be better that they only released those 30? I'd rather prefer that they released those 30 epic songs and maybe other 15 just awesome ones. The more, the better.

Why all the negativity? We have no reason to think they'll be shit until September. And I agree with Matt, it would be fantastic if the songs spanned from earlier years, even though I doubt that's the case.

I know, which is what I don’t get. Because if there were thirty then surely that would only really be two albums worth? Otherwise they’re kind of taking the piss. I mean even AI had 13, and JOS and Homecoming are really long, so 10 songs per album? I hope not.

But you’re right, I don’t see how they can record that many so quick. Unless they’re staying in the studio after they release uno to finish off dos or tre?

Either that, or maybe they already recorded some stuff when they spent last summer in SoCal and were in those studios? Hmmm....

45 songs are too much in my opinion.

Would 15 songs on one album be too much though? If it's gonna be three albums it should be three albums worth of songs. Otherwise they should just release one or two albums. I agree with the more the merrier, you can always listen to less of them if you don't wanna listen to them all :P. I'm hoping for a 12 song minimum on each.

To be honest I still haven't realized what is going to happen. We'll get three fucking green day albums in like 4 months...

I think I'll realize it when they start the interviews, we get artwork/setlist and all this pre-album stuff

Also I didn't have internet connection when 21cb came out and I remember I had to wait for like a week or something after May 15 since my copy arrived and I heard the songs...Did the album leaked before it's release or something?I mean most of the albums now leak on the internet at least a week before the actually release date...

I always guessed that.I thought they wouldn't be waiting a month if they ahd everything ready.

I actually doubt that they'll be recording after each album. My guess is that the 2 months wait between each album is to promote each of them and try to get them to sell a considerate amount of copies before the next one comes out and the promoting phase begins all over again. What I would expect in between albums is a lot of interviews, presentations on TV shows, and live shows here and there (probably some strategic cities of the US and Europe and such). I can't imagine them going "okay, here's ¡Uno!, have fun with it everyone, we'll see you again in two months when we come out of the studio with ¡Dos!/¡Tré! fully ready."

I don’t think it did.... I’d never listen to it if it did anyway, It would spoil it.

As for the matter of them not being able to record 45ish songs in this time, they’ve been in the studio for 11 weeks. Dookie was recorded and remastered twice in 3. So that’s at least 3 Dookies :P

Oh ok,good point there.Poor guys, all busy.I'll be so happy when I see them on my TV screen and not in Youtube :D

Oh and how will they promote albums? I never saw how they do those things? They go to MTV and such?

A demo of 21CB (the song) leaked and about a week (?) before the album was released you could listen to it online, I think that was actually an official link rather than a leak though.

Don't know whether I'd like that this time or not (the official thing, not the leak)... obviously I want to hear them sooner rather than later but I'm not sure if I want to listen to them before the proper release when I can hold the CD and everything... :P although I know I would.

I won't listen to anything leaked.I hope nothing from Green Day leaks, that would be awful for them.If theya re working so hard, the least we can do is fucking wait till they want to release it,in my opinion.I will only listen to the songs in my album and their live performances, nothing else so I don't spoil anything.

Haha yeah I knew about the demo(which is actually better from the original :P )

Hmmm I don't think I could hold myself and don't download the album if it leak earlier.

I certainly think there is a enough time to get each album recorded, mixed, mastered, and promoted. Realistically, only Uno needs to be completely finished by September. Dos and Trè don't need to be mixed or mastered by then because there are still months until their release.

To put the 21CB talk to rest (again), a demo of the title track released a few months before the album came out. The full album was leaked a full week before the release date. But it was "leaked" on MTV's "The Leak" so it was on-purpose.

Now please, no more 21CB talk. We've had this discussion before.

Well, they should have time to promote,if they have to be in the studio, when will they promote and do gigs?

Yeah sorry I just asked that to see how it was back then to see if it's gonna be similar this time...

Does anybody think the discounted prices on iTunes or the merch sale on the GD store has anything to do with the new albums?

Maybe they’re clearing out the old stuff because they’ll be announcing/releasing something new soon?
