Why does the fucking GEMA shut down this video? It doesn't contain any official material at all... You can just see them playing their instruments. Wow, what a joke.

no one knows...that's just GEMA being stupid and showing that they have the power to do that, i guess  I hate the fucking GEMA, I wanna watch that video NOW !!

...and i hate it that YouTube lost against the GEMA and now yt can't show any music vids anymore where the artists don't have the rights, but c'mon Green Day don't have the rights of their own song which they wrote themselves? I think the GEMA ppl didn't do their job and look it up

kay...my little rant is now over

I don't think they need a single for festivals. They can play new songs anyway like they did in secret shows, because I don't think it would be cool if they released one single and they played that same song all time till the album comes out.

yeah but i think they'd release a single before to promote the festivals and with that the album...sure they don't need to do that for us to know about it, but i'm sure there are a lot of people who haven't heard about an album coming out and if they released a single (which will be good promoted most probably  ) i'm sure some of those people would go to the festivals, too...

...and i'm pretty sure they won't play this one song over and over again ;D

I calculated the average date of the first single coming out before each album, and the average is about 18 (17 and 2/3 exactly) days. The closest, Longview with Dookie, came out on the same day. The longest, Minority with Warning, came out 33 days before. So statistically, Uno's first single will come out on September 7, 2012. If this isn't true, all math is invalid.

You made me love math for almost ¡Dos! minutes.

This is a new record! Congrats! wave.gif

Props for doing the math!!

I'm kind of on the fence on this. Yes, I want the shows announced because I'm excited, but no because then I'll realize how I can't afford to go to more than one. And hopefully there'll be one nearby to go to.

Preparing here to travel anywhere in TX to see a show or three. Might go as far north as Tulsa or OKC, or as far east as New Orleans.

Please dear God don't make me have to follow Green Day to Little Rock!!

All Depends on how much $$ and time I can scrape up, and what the Mrs. will tolerate.

That would be my birthday then! Now let's just hope this will come true  I think this is the only time I hope for something related to Math, but there's always a first time, isn't it? :P

I wonder if they'll do something like announce what the first single is going to be at the first festival show, and play it at every show from there. I duno, just throwing out ideas. :P

I hope for at least 10 on each album. I'm crossing my fingers for 13 though. And we don't know yet any specifics about the albums, other than the names and release date, so no idea if they'll be concept albums... For some reason I doubt it... but then I also doubted it when it was starting to be rumoured that the follow up for American Idiot would be concept album, so what do I know?

39 new song would be a lot...

I'm hoping they stay in the range of 8-10 songs per album personally.

I feel like GD has some of the shortest single-to-album times in the industry. Some other artists put out singles months in advance...but I digress.

I hope each album has 10 songs or less. If we got 3 full length (13ish tracks?) albums, I feel like they wouldn't be up to par with Green Day's work. Think about it. 39 songs all recorded for one time period? Some would have to be filler, and I'm still not convinced that I won't be disappointed with some tracks from this whole 3-album spurt.

I hope they prove me wrong. If any band can do it, it's GD.

I know it'd be a lot, but what can I say? I'm greedy when it comes to Green Day music.

However I really hope it isn't less than 10 per album. 24 or 27 songs could easily fit into 2 albums, so it'd bother me that they're making us buy three albums instead of two. Even 30 could fit into 2 albusm, especially considering they already have 2 albums with 18 songs (Nimrod and 21stCB). But at least that could handle because a CD with 10 songs is acceptable on its own accord.

At least that's how I see it.

And I think if they're releasing 3 albums it's because they feel really good and confident about the music they're making, and that they're making so much of it it wouldn't fit into one or two albums. If you look back on the fact that the album C&V and think of the fact that the reason for that was most likely that the band wasn't feeling too good about it, then I doubt at this point of their career they'd publish something they're not completelly happy about. And I trust these guy's judgement.

I'd presonally prefer 13 instead of 10.I don't understand why people thinks songs will be better if it has 10.It can have 10 epic songs and 3 awesome ones.Anyway, they'll do what they want so I'll shut up and wait.

I think 10 songs per album should be doable, but 13 would be much nicer.

At least I hope, if they release 8-10 songs per album, they will still have tons of b-sides to fill up the singles

I think they'll put from 8 up to 12 songs in each record, because if they put less than 8 tracks then they'd be considered EPs, and Green Day talked about albums. Or maybe they could include a minimum of 8 songs per record each one lasting at least 4:30 minutes.
