The Trilogy Albums: ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré!

I hope they don't touch Going to Pasalaqua or Christie Road.... there's just something about the old, crisp sound of it that I love, and it would be weird if they rerecorded it imo.

The thing I'm REALLY excited for is hearing Billie's voice live. After all the broadway training and experience he's had I'm sure it's going to be at the best we've ever heard.

Why? Remember when they rerecorded Welcome to Paradise and 409 In Your Coffeemaker? They still sounded incredible! And ok,Welcome to Paradise sounded more Dookie-ish,but 409 In Your Coffeemaker sounds 1039 SOSH-ish still.

He's had broadway training!? wow things are getting better and better

That was all back in the early 90's though. You're talking about taking a song from 1989 and another from 1992 and infusing it with 2012 recording technology... I mean, I'm sure it wouldn't necessarily be bad, but there's just something about the 'old' sound to it that I, and I'm sure a lot of other fans, enjoy. This is just simply my opinion though. :P

And yeah... he played St. Jimmy on broadway in the AI musical... what rock have you been hiding under?

I've been hinding under the Spain rock, where we have no broadway musicals.

And well,I like oldie sound too, maybe it would be better like that. What I'd love is a King for a Day saxophone studio version,I never liked that trumpet.

Kerrang! :

On the fucking front cover. I think that sums up why I love that magazine. And the crazy captions they put on pictures.

And it would be epic if it was based on LOTR.

It's really awesome (even though it's just a little picture of Billie Joe). And by the way, where can I get the issue in Germany? (Sorry for getting off-topic again).

Their re-releasing some oldie songs?

No, well, at least not that we know of. We're just talking about the idea of it. :P

i hope they won't re-record any old songs, they're just perfect as they are...for the changings of the old songs we still have the live shows and i think that's enough...

...if they really re-record any song, i'm sure it would be great, but imo not necessary ;)

I was talking about 1 song or so,like in Dookie. But I see people doesn't like.I'd like to have new versions, specially from 1039 and Kerplunk,to improve the sound quality.

me too, it would be great if two albums of the trilogy would contain new stuff (12-15 songs per disc) and the third one would contain only re-recorded and maybe different versions of older songs...

It would be nice to hear a clear version of songs from 1039 and Kerplunk, but definitely not from Dookie. I mean, Dookie songs already have a good sound quality.

But I don't really care much about that, I don't want them to waste a whole album for that.

Something like 16 I wouldn't want because I like that raw sound it has, I would love to hear Christie Road.

no the sound of christie road is perfect too. i don´t want any re-recordings because the old sound is something special. a re-recording would destroy the atmosphere of the songs.

This. I couldn't agree more.

NO! Old recordings sound brilliant as they are. Don't touch them! They have an appeal because of how they are....

It should definitely be based on LOTR. With the first single as "Welcome to Mordor" and everything. And I always heard what everyone else hears as "raw ham" in Know Your Enemy as "Rohirrim" which is the guys on horses from LOTR, so they can get them in there somewhere too.

They'd never re-record old songs now. To reminisce is to die. :P

But yeah, they wouldn't be the same. I'm glad they probably won't do that.

I'm desperately hoping each album has 10 songs, maybe less. No more than 12.

I want new music, but not average new music from my favourite band. I'll be massively upset if the three albums come out and there is only really one fantastic album's worth of material among three average albums.

But I'd love something like the Dookie version of 409 In Your Coffeemaker, they still have that oldie sound, but they improved armonies.I'd love that,I completely fell in love with that Dookie version.I'd love a re-recording of Who Wrote Holden Caulfield too :) but only better vocals fixed with their actual experiance, don't touch the sound of the instruments.

I really think they wouldn't be doing this if they didn't think they had three albums worth of great stuff. Under any other circumstances I'd be thinking "noez lots of averageness" too but Green Day wouldn't do that, I'm not worried.

How many times have I already said that in this thread?
