InvaderPhantom
And still am,but I prefer GD xD I loved their song "Who Do You Think You Are" And the Y'know pun So the guy who dislikes 21st Century Breakdown because it was too lovey-dovey and not hardcore enough turns out to be a huge Spice Girls fan. Huh.

Mary711
I've just re-watched the video and from watching that how can we be sure that the album titles are Uno, Dos, Tre? Ignore: Me being dumb. Billie's tweet did say Uno, Dos, Tre... but could that still mean simply album 1, album 2 and album 3... hmmm. I think so, too. I'm hoping for more exciting names than just numbers. Bastard of 1967
Hahahaha. I didn't know they had done that at their show there. I seems they improved a bit their Spanish as the tour around South America went on because in Caracas (their first stop of that tour) their Spanish was a bit too rough. Billie did have to ask for the light to go out in Spanish during Holiday because after many failed attempts to get the spot light on him off he figured the guy handleling that light couldn't understand English. Lol. Also don't forget a reported vacation that Tre took to Cuba sometime while 21stCB was in the making. He picked up some new Latin rhythms while he was there and I have to assume he smoked some damn good weed too! and we heard some of that influence in songs like Peacemaker and ¿Viva La Gloria?. The band sure seems to have acquired at least a taste for Latin rhythms and culture over the years -- and yea, I think it's pretty damn awesome. Bastard of 1967
There's no possible way.... Ha! He grew up in Mendocino County. Even being so far away from home he had to have felt like he'd never left it. [/digress]
Cris.
Hahaha really? That's epic Another lenguage-barrier-induced epic moment at their show here was during East Jesus Nowhere, when he picked a kid from the crowd to "save him", and he whispered in the kid's ear what he had to do, I guess he whispered in English, or the best Spanish he could gather or I don't know, but the kid obviously didn't understand a bit because when Billie did his bit and the kid was suppossed to fall back, he just stood there paralyzed for a second and then said "I love Green Day". Everyone had a good laugh though, including the band. Also don't forget a reported vacation that Tre took to Cuba sometime while 21stCB was in the making. Peacemaker has such an amazing rythm South American beat to it (even though it's mixed with other stuff), it's such a multicultural sounding sound, if that even makes sense, and I just love it. I think it's one of the best songs in the album. And based on the names of the new albums I'm expecting to hear a bit more of that. And yes it sure also makes my heart warm inside that they're picking names in Spanish for their songs (both Viva la Gloria) and albums.... I just hope they start touring/visiting more around South American to keep that inspiration flowing.
Sixtrix
I feel like very few of the songs they played over the past year will be on these. they've never done that before, and why do it now when they are at this point of their career? But then again... why wouldn't they do it? They are always very excited to play new material, and this time -I think- they just couldn't wait to play the new tunes in front of an audience. DannyDirnt
As long as Stray Heart,Carpe Dien,Let Yourself Go and It's Fuck Time make it to any of the three albums I'm happy.Or,if Fuck Time doesn't,what seems to be the most probable,at least play it live on their tour
Lindsay
Am I the only one that will be seriously surprised if Fuck Time makes it onto any of the albums? I've always seen that as a FBHT song that they'll only play live. Believe me, it'd be awesome to have a studio version of it and have it be apart of the three albums, but I don't see it popping up on a Green Day album anytime soon; I see it as a song they only perform live, because that's sort of what makes it fun. But, I could be totally wrong, because we never know with them; they never fail to surprise us. Edit: redundant post is redundant, should've worded that better. Oh well. I really don't think it will be. I know Billie said it's now a Green Day song in Austin but I can't see there ever being a studio version of it, like you said I think it's something that Green Day or the Tubbies will only ever play live. It's special. The discussion about It's Fuck Time will go on forever. Until the albums finally come out and it is or isn't on any of them

gmcloughlin
As for the secret show songs, I've only heard Carpe Diem and Amy. I did hear Stay the Night a long time ago when it was first soundchecked. Other than that, I want everything to be a surprise. Back to Carpe Diem, I'm positive the rumored track "Too Young to Die" is Carpe Diem because the chorus goes something like "Carpe Diem, a battle cry, aren't we all too young to die?" Just a thought. Thats exactly what I thought, and ya thats how the chorus goes That's why these titles make me jump of happiness And just to add to what you say, they also sing "Salud" in All The Time... And when they came to Argentina in 1998 sang the chorus of Knowledge in Spanish, too. (Todo lo que sé es que no sé nada) Thats class Would love to hear them sing part of a song in Irish at some stage Unpopular opinion from what I can see: I would be more than happy if they left Stay The Night off all 3 albums entirely. It feels really generic and just generally not new and exciting :lazy: ... It just doesn't go anywhere and I could care less about the lyrics (especially when you think about how fucking great a songwriter Billie is) Well I suppose I'm biased cos I was at the soundcheck in 2010 when we got that 1st video of STN, but I'd be heartbroken if it didn't end up on one of the albums, especially after they played it at all of the secret shows and I got to hear a new recording of it. It really seems like they've polished it for an album...
Undómiel
I'm not that fussed about IFT being on the album, I think it would take part of the fun out it. I'd love to hear it live though...
Gwen Stacy
I think it would fit better as a one-off single, because it just doesn't seem to fit as part of a Green Day album. Although if there were another FXHT album, I could see it being on there. But it's fun to have it be something between just the fans and the band

I don't think it's polished enough yet at least. ''I've got an impulse so impulsive that it burns''? C'mon, Billie can do better than that! solongfromthestars
I love the line "I got an impulse so impulsive that it burns" I don't think it's lyrically the best song they've ever written or anything but it's okay. The music's great, especially the new version. Totally personal opinion though. I'm sure on the album it'll sound much better anyway, I doubt the recordings we've heard do it any justice. Which I guess is why it's good to avoid listening to them.
Underbelly
I love Carpe Diem, would be excited for it to be a single, but I'm terrified it would get horribly overplayed. I actually listened to 21 Guns for the first time in months because I'm still recovering from the radio blitz. ( damn, still a great song!) Katarina.
Anyone else noticed that if you say Uno differently it becomes You Know? like the joke: What is Billie Joe's favourite card game? Uno That's hilarious I can already imagine interviews: ".. and we decided to call the first album Uno, you know?" It's probably not intented as a pun for that, but I think it's funny anyway. So now we have Uno/you know and Tré/tres. Now we only have to find something for Dos and every album name is a pun related to each band member Dos.. as in.. Dirnt? As in.. the bass sound. We have to do something until we get more news about these albums
