but a single is very cheap, it will only cost 5€ at the most

Really! Then I'm so buying it!

And for the first album,I hope that, until it's a cover, they release Fuck Time. It's just awesome.I'd love Stray Heart to be a single too but, like Carpe Diem,it's not pwerful enough, while Fuck Time would be a direct no1 imo.Maybe a more possible one could be "Stop When The Red Lights Flash".Sounds cool.Idk I have heart only a few songs because I don't wanna fuck up the surprise.

Anyway am I the only one who doesn't like the title "Teenagers from Mars"? Sounds like if theyw ere old men complaining about teenagers doing crazy things.

know your enemy is one of their weakest songs ever. east jesus nowhere would definitely have been a good pick, regarding to the similarities to holiday.

i think the singles of 21cb are good chosen because, in my opinion there are not many songs who are suitibale as a single. but know your enemy wasn´t a good choice

Know Your Enemy was definitely a good choice, better than East Jesus Nowhere. I'm not talking about the "quality" of the two songs, but Know Your Enemy is more radio-friendly and, in fact, was a hit, as for radio charts. East Jesus Nowhere wasn't.

I think they would need a stronger one this time. They should get some powerful song with much energy and a good beat.If they don't,that could mark the success of the album or even the trilogy.

Green Day should make a poll for us to vote which is going to be the next single :P

Teenagers From Mars doesn't have anything to do with these albums, it's a Misfits song that The Network recorded a cover of in 2003 and that Green Day have covered live a couple of times. So if you don't like it blame The Misfits since they wrote it :P. If you read the lyrics you'll see it's not about that anyway though, they're calling themselves "teenagers from Mars" not complaining about teenagers.

Cool,no problem then xD

I love the poll idea,I always wondered why don't artist and videogame creators and such do polls to decide singles,or characters in videogames...

yeah it would be amazing if bands would do that...it would be good for them AND the fans, cos the fans can vote which songs they wanna have released as a single, so they more feel as being part of it, and cos the song that has the most votes gets elected as a single, the fans would be happy...and the bands would sell a lot singles more --> good for everyone :D

I don't think we'd be very good at picking singles, I mean… people are saying Stay The Night and Carpe Diem and from what I've heard those would just sound like AI and KYE all over again. I'd like something different, not another song mostly relying on a strong chorus repeated over and over.

Exactly.Feels awesome to know you're sorta interacting with your favorite band and your opinion is reaching them.I'm shocked how our opinions always match lol.

yeah but on the other side i think green day will also pick songs like Stay The Night or Carpe Diem, cos they probably might think those would make the best singles and they're the most mainstream suitable songs...and when fans vote i'm sure there'd also be a lot voting for songs that are totally different...and like we saw in some of the polls here on GDC, there are a lot of people voting for totally random songs ;)

21 Guns was quite a good pick in my opinion though. Anyway, for Uno!, Dos!, and Tre! my favourite lead single must be Let Yourself Go. LOL, I know it's quite an unusual pick, but it's strong, standing-out, has a great melody, unique, loooooooooooooads of other reasons. That is, great to be a lead single. I guess it's catchy enough... You decide for yourself. :P

In regards to the singles from 21stCB (which is a bit offtopic, I know), I must be crazy or something, for people (fans) always complain about Know Your Enemy and think East Jesus Nowhere would of been way better. I wasn't a huge a fan of Know Your Enemy, but I wouldn't of chosen East Jesus Nowhere either. Why oh why no one ever thinks of Peacemaker? I've always felt that song would have been a great single. And the Last of the American I think wasn't the greatest choice either, but that's just my opinion. I would have rather to see ¡Viva la Gloria! (or even ¿Viva la Gloria?) as a single. But the single choices from American Idiot I think were great, including American Idiot as a first single. But that's just my opinion.

Now in regards to singles from the new albums.... I've honestly only listened to Stay the Night because that sound check video got out so long ago before I even started thinking of a new album.... the rest of the songs I haven't heard because I don't want to spoil the surprise for myself lol... however Stay the Night sounds like it could be radio-friendly, which I supposse the the ultimate goal with first singles... But has anyone thought maybe they could surprise us all by releasing as a first signle a song that hasn't been played yet? I mean they must have so much stuff if they're releasing 3 albums, and we've only heard like 8 new songs so far I thinkr?

i always wanted them to pick viva la gloria! as a single...

Me too, that would have been amazing.

I agree about LOTAG, I was quite surprised when it was picked as a single. I've always felt that's one of the weakest Green Day songs ever.

I don't think Know Your Enemy was THAT bad of a choice, it's certainly radio-friendly and is quite catchy. I love 21 Guns but I think for the sake of the radio Last Night on Earth might have been better. 21CB's a great song but as a single not such a good idea. East Jesus Nowhere was okay I guess. I thought a radio edit of American Eulogy would probably have done better though.

I was just disappointed when it was never ¡Viva La Gloria! :P

Uno is Italian, yes, but is also Spanish. It's said the same way in both lenguages. Dos is definitely Spanish. and Tré, although French and not meaning three in French, does sound a lot likes tres, which is three in Spanish. Tre (without the mark on the e, however you call the in english) is 3 in intalian, but not tré.

What?! 24? I should start playing closer attention to their small gigs. Bah I just kind of ignore them these days because by the time 21stCB came out I already knew so many of the songs, so it lessened the surprise for me, which kinda sucked.

So help me out here, the ones I've heard mention of are Stay the Night, Carpe Diem, Amanda, Amy (oh this one I've heard too), there was anothher girl name that I can't remember I think, Nuclear Family, Let Yourself Go, Troublemaker and.... Too Young to Die.... what have I been missing?

8th Avenue Serenade, Stray Heart, Oh Love, Stop When the Red Lights Flash, and Wow That's Loud are a few more I can think of. :)
