Elena<3 I believe your rep has gone up a lot since I've started reading the recent posts.

I love the idea of a secret message. I think they could hide it by putting one random word yelled, or sung or whatever at the end of each track. Then someone could work out the message and it would be "never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down..."

Billie's voice was fugly imo and songs didn't sound like Green Day,theyw ent too deep into emotions and feeling and love and all that crap. And the album...is it me or it had no swears? or almost no swears.I don't recall hearing any swear in 21CB.

It had parental advisory on it, either way I showed my 6 year old cousin the album when it came out and he liked it.

yep, it went up pretty fast...thank you

yeah that would be great  ...haha i just thought about the "does anyone where my motorcycle is?" thing and then this "never gonna give up, never gonna let you down..." gets a total different meaning if you put them both together  oh god

Let's not turn this into what we hate about 21CB but the only thing that I didn't really like about that record and made it my least favourite is Billie's voice.

But anyway I don't think it will sound like that in the upcoming albums cause we have Rob and it wouldn't really fit the rock n rollish sound

Am I the only one who loves 21CB and every song on it?

No, you're definitely not.

But as said before, we should stop talking about things that don't have anything to do with the original topic ;)

Yes, Billie's voice definitely did sound strange in some songs, particularly Last Night on Earth and Christian's Inferno, I will admit that. But I really can't understand the argument that the album didn't sound like Green Day. Songs like Murder City and Horseshoes and Handgrenades are pretty typical old schoolish Green Day, and really, saying that they "went too deep into emotions, love and all that crap" is kind of ridiculous. Every single Green Day album has dealt with emotions and love, dating back to the 39/Smooth days, but it's just that Billie's songwriting has become much more developed and complex, so it takes a bit more to fully get the message. Also, I don't get why you would not like an album because it doesn't have swearing, and 21st CB did have swearing. "I'm not fucking around!" kind of makes that argument pointless.

All songs were more strange, and too many songs were about love imo.Lyrics are cool, but I prefer non-love songs. And no swearing wasn't a reason, was just a point out, because I just noticed.

and isn't it good when it's more emotional? ...anyways, i think 21CB was pretty good, but not their best album, cos it was a bit overproduced imo...to the swearing: it really had less swearing and curse words than maybe Nimrod. or some other Green Day albums, but i agree Horseshoes And Handgrenades had a lot of swearing :D

lyrically i'd say 21CB is one of their best albums, but musically it's overproduced...but still good...

I have 2 questions:

1) Do you think that "It's Fuck Time" will be on ¡Uno! ?

2) Can I run a poll on GDC, or can only admins?

I think Fuck Time will be on ¡Tré!

I was thinking that the only thing that could ruin a GD concert for me is being poicked to go onstage.I'm too shy and I'd be ambarrassed but I'd look like an asshole if I didn't go.

Oh yes, I totally agree with all this. I honestly think that if Last Night on Earth wasn't so overproduced, it would have been amazing. But instead, it just drones on and on and on haha.

Exactly my point.

I still hope Fuck Time gets into an album and I don't really know but I have a feeling it will

I think that if Fuck Time makes it on to an album, it will be iTre!. I know it's early days, but that just seems like a perfect fit for that song.

if it will be on any of the three albums, i also think it will be on Tre...if it's not just a pun :P

Exactly my point.

idk...i love It's Fuck Time, it's probably one of my favorites, but i can't really see it on an album, it's more a live song, in my opinion...well, let's see

I've been listening to 21st a lot lately and I really like that album. Songs like ¡Viva La Gloria!, Murder City, American Eulogy, Horseshoes and Handgrenades and to an extent Know Your Enemy are just straight up classic-ish Green Day. I do hope the trilogy is different though, like a new sound, and it definitely will be. I think we can be pretty sure that the overproduction on 21st will be dropped and overall the sound will be more straight forward and authentic. I really enjoy 21st but I can see why some people don't.

I don't understand why some people say they don't like 21st Century Breakdown. It's one of their best albums lyrically and emotionally in my opinion. Billie's Joe's voice is beautiful on 21st Century Breakdown. It's one album that I think really shows off the full range of his vocals. The album also had a lot of great songs; like 21st Century Breakdown, Before the Lobotomy, East Jesus Nowhere, Peacemaker, Viva La Gloria? (Little Girl), Restless Heart Syndrome, Horseshoes and Handgrenades, and American Eulogy.

I don't know why, but I just have a feeling that iUno!, iDos!, and iTre! are going to be some of the best work they've ever given us, just like what they said in their press release. :D

Yeah,I never heard It's Fuck Time.Sure it is a song and not a stupid phrase Billie wanted to tweet?

It's a song. Look it up on YouTube under Foxboro Hot Tubs.

Haha why everyone seems to hate Know Your Enemy? It's a catchy song and I remember listening to it as the first single back in 09 and I liked it very much.I still enjoy it.

Yeah,I never heard It's Fuck Time.Sure it is a song and not a stupid phrase Billie wanted to tweet?

You really need to then:

you're welcome, this song is awesome :D

yeah i agree that the lyrics on 21CB were amazing and Billie's voice was also very good on it, but it's still a bit overproduced and i think that's why some people don't like it so much, i personally like it, but it's not my fave...AI, Kerplunk! or Warning were way better..

yeah i have the same feeling

Yeah,I never heard It's Fuck Time.Sure it is a song and not a stupid phrase Billie wanted to tweet?

yeah it's a song, originally by Foxboro Hot Tubs, but then Green Day covered it some times and finally said that it's now also a Green Day song :D ...check it out, it's really one of their best songs ;)
