The Trilogy Albums: ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré!

Well, I guess I should get a job now. And a drivers license because I know they won't be coming to Idaho. But I'm pretty sure that if I dont get enough money saved up by the time they announce a tour, my mom will make sure I go to a show because she loves GD almost as much as I do. She's the one who found out about the albums and then told me. I was ashamed that she knew before I did. I think it's hilarious that she checks GDA more that I do.

This is so exciting! Since I discovered GD in January 2010, this is the first time I have experienced them putting out a new album :D

Hey, they came to Fargo (no offense to Fargo people, but lbr it's not exactly the first place you think of for concerts) ... Boise has some decent sized venues! :D

I agree. Like A Rat Does Cheese makes me a little uncomfortable. :ninja:

You're not alone. I finally deleted it off of iTunes because I felt bad for skipping it every time it came on. Lol

Well, let me just text Billie and ask him. ;)

Just kidding. If I had to guess, I would say they are going to get done as much as they can before September--if not all of it. But it's somewhat impossible to say. This is something Green Day has never done before (or anybody else, really). So I would guess that they probably have already completed work on the first album, and are well into the second since they announced there are going to be three. That is just a guess. Billie hasn't texted me back yet. :ermm:

Maybe billie has a new number :)

I would expect them to finish it all but they did say " the music keeps on coming " so I dunno really

On the first leg of the tour in 2009 my pit ticket was $50, but on the second leg in 2010 they were $250. I hope they do what they did during 21 CB and go to Houston, Dallas and San Antonio. I plan to go to all three. I made a list of the expenses for gas, tickets and hotels and I'm going to be broke for the next year...so worth it though. I've already saved about half of what I'll need.

That's a good point. It seems to me that they probably have enough material for the three albums, but as more stuff comes along, they are having to choose between the new songs. That is crazy to think! They are releasing three albums, and are probably still having to cut quality stuff because of space!

I think they've been to Idaho twice. In 97 and 2001. I would shit my pants if they came again.

I'm gonna go buy a whiteboard to hang on my wall to count down the days till the releases. I had a whiteboard to count down the days till I saw them in concert and I think it's time to do that again :D

Fargo is so underrated.....when all the musicians come here for the first time...they're all amazed at how awesome the crowd is. We know how to do it. Lol. My first concert was N Sync in Fargo :P

Green Day actually was suppose to do a concert in Fargo back in 1998 but had to cancel because Tre apparently had a foot infection...haha they mentioned this at the concert in 2009. So they came back in 2009 and made up for it with a meet and greet. I know they'll be back too :D

Seeing them in England is my dream. It all depends on timing and money but I really hope I can make it happen... :)

I have a hunch (just a completely speculative hunch, but here goes): One thing we learned recently is that Billie just had a new tat inked by Kat von D -- and we found out about this just a few days before news of U-D-T dropped. He seems to often reserve such occasions for something major or monumentous, in that rather than carry pictures, photos, "stuff" as mementos, he literally wears them as part of his body.

So....one such major or monumentous event could conceivably be either iUno! going to master or (here's where my hunch becomes a giant leap) all three albums having been wrapped. Studio time is expensive (even if it's their own home-base at Jingletown they're working in -- you still have to pay for your equipment and your tech crew) so once they get going, they're going to want to keep going and get the job done "sooner rather than later". Thus my guess is that either the first album in the Trelogy is done, or that perhaps all three are finished and the release and promotion timing is going to be marketing-driven from here on out.

Don't get seats. Go for the pit. Soooo much fun.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: "The 100-level section: where your 20-something ambition meets your 40-something reality!"

This year is the first year I can go to a concert without my parents being there (they're kinda strictish about that, but it doesn't really bother me). That means I can go to a Green Day concert for the first time! My friend, my brother, and I already have it figured out that we going to see them in Pittsburgh. Since my little brother's coming, that means no pit. He's nine and I'm somewhat overprotective of him. But I'm really excited for this!

Seats are still really fun though, and you get to see a lot of stuff you wouldn't if you were in the pit.

Plus you wont have to worry about your brother. :)

Thanks, the only type of concert I've ever been to before was a symphony, so I have no idea how everything works.

I haven't been to a concert either. I hope to go to Green Day when they come around here. My parents are strict about this stuff, but if one of them comes with me, I might be allowed. That could be interesting with them there. They barely know any of the words

Green Day was actually the only concert I've been too that I wasn't in the pit. Sure the pit is fun, but It's really nice not having to worry about being injured.

You should be fin though, all you'll have to do is find your seats and enjoy.

I feel like if I brought one of my parents to a concert they would have a heart attack because of the way I act.

this is so amazing... I mean, everyone starting to save money for the tour ... I've never been to a concert and seems like I'll never go.. honestly I don't think Green Day will ever come to my country (as any good band I know) so I guess i'll have to wait till I grow up, and hope to have enough money for traveling : P

haha I've never been to a concert either but definitely I wouldn't go with one of my parents... I'm pretty sure they would be freaked and look at me like if I was crazy.. heh :/ there's a side of me they don't know

I need to start saving money. My fiance is supposed to have a really good job by the end of May, so he told me not to worry about it and that he'll make sure we get to go...

But I still feel like I need money just in case.

I was warning the Bike Thief video very closely. At around 0:39, does anyone else see a rectangle on the left hand side? Does anyone else think that could have been edited in to cover something (a tracklist???) just wondering

First, you see this:

Then a tiny bit later, there is a rectangle thing:
