The Trilogy Albums: ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré!

Okay, I've never posted here before because I'm an eternal lurker, but what the hell, I've been drinking since noon. First of all, awesome news. Now:

Ninja Spanish lesson

In Spanish, we don't only put exclamation points or question marks at the end of sentences. We put upside-down question marks/exclamation points at the beginning. Of every interrogative and exclamatory sentence. And instead of quotation marks, we often use angular quotes (<<dialogue>>) or hyphens. We're weird.

The more you know.

And I'm loving the album names, because I feel pretentious and wanky whenever I have to say 21stCB aloud. They've gone back to their album-naming roots and I couldn't be happier.

*back to the shadows*

How interesting, I wonder what country you're from? In mine (also spanish-speaking) we quote the same way as in english ("dialogue"), although I have seen the angular quotes on some books.

And I'm still very pleased about the albums' names, despite what some people may say. I really like how simple it is. I can so easily imagine the guys going:

"so... we're releasing 3 albums.... what should we call them?"

"one, two, three?"

"uno, dos, tres?""

"uno, dos, Tre?"

"Yeah, I like that"

Hehehehe.

And of course the spanish probably makes me a little biased. I hope it also means they won't let South America fall right back into oblivion when it comes to planning their next tours. :D

the album titles are growing on me.

It would be cool if they could have a taglineish for each one though.

Most of you GDCers have been to a Green Day concert, but I havent. (Like I said before) All you guys are excited for the tour and know what to expect from them I have nooo clue. Whats it like? Getting your tickets and waiting for the day of the concert? And the day of the concert, how do you guys prepare? I don't know anything!

I share your pain! My one friend who kind of likes Green Day wasn't all that excited :( And my other friend who likes them never answers her phone.

At first, I thought that "¡uno! ¡dos! ¡tre! hand signal thingy" would be a cool thing to throw out at Green Day shows...

then I thought of this:

The only stressfull thing about going to the concert is getting the tickets (unless you, like me, have to plan a trip to another country to see them if they don't decide to play in yours... and even if they do... lol, but I don't think that's your case), and for this, if you're a member of the Idiot Club and so have access to pre-sales, things are much more eassier... then there's waiting, which is just building up unbelieveable excitement. Then there's the concert... I know only one word that I think does justice to the feeling, but I dare not say it to 13 year old XD

Everyone else is so amped for this album trilogy, but I'm scared shitless. I'm fucking terrified, this is totally new ground, and my body is not ready. ;_;

Dude, it's a sexual gesture. Y'know, the whole two in the pink, one in the sink thing.

I wonder how pricey the tickets are going to be this time around. I hope it's around the same price as last time. Ugh, I have a few months to start saving up. :)

Well, let me just text Billie and ask him. ;)

Just kidding. If I had to guess, I would say they are going to get done as much as they can before September--if not all of it. But it's somewhat impossible to say. This is something Green Day has never done before (or anybody else, really). So I would guess that they probably have already completed work on the first album, and are well into the second since they announced there are going to be three. That is just a guess. Billie hasn't texted me back yet. :ermm:

Once again, it still hasn't hit me... I think I still can't quite believe that it's going to be three fucking albums. It just seems so unreal, or like they're somehow pranking us, even though there's a proper press release and all that. I think once I see some album art it will make it all seem more real - like it did when the art for 21CB came out. It just seems more physical to me, if that makes sense.

And to add to that, I just have so many questions, like how long each album will be - will they be all a bit shorter as there are going to be 3? and whether they'll somehow connect to each other or have themes, and how this three album idea came about... all that.

I just want to knoowwwww.

How much do tickets cost generally? I don't necessarily want nose bleed seats, but def. good seats :) I'm gonna start saving up money now so I can buy the albums and get the tickets if they come near me

----

I bet they're going to have them pretty much done by September, but I have a feeling they're going to need the touch-ups done on the songs from Dos and Tre :P

I think the mid-section tickets were around 50-80. The bleeders were around 20. And the general admittance were over 100, if I'm not mistaken.

I'm not sure about the regular seats because they varied a bit, but for pit tickets...the first leg of the 21CB tour they were around $50, and the second leg they were about $85. None of the tickets were over 85. I just hope gas prices aren't too high when the tour happens, because that's going to drive up ticket prices a lot.

I only payed 36$ for seats, and we were only 13 rows up. I think it kinda depends on the venue.

Unpopular opinion:

I really don't like Tre's songs... at all. x)

I agree. Like A Rat Does Cheese makes me a little uncomfortable. :ninja:

I've never been to a Green Day concert either. Strict parents.

But my mom insisted on taking me to see Aerosmith this summer, so I told her she needs to take me to a GD concert.

Hopefully she will hold up her end of the deal. Because then I'll have to wait FOREVER to go to their next tour.
