The Trilogy Albums: ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré!

Surely the whole point of a bundle is you get it at a slightly discounted price than if you bought it all seperately, so counting up the individual prices of things might not work. But then it probs won't work like that in this case

i think "it's fuck time" who appears in Dos! trailer is a demo of the song.

You don't say?

If they make "It's Fun Time!" I'll be pissed off. Everyone will sing the song incorrectly and when you go anbd sing "oh baby baby it's fuck time!" they tell you that you're singing it wrong  would be bloody awful

And sad that I can't order the bundle. I don't have that much money

Oh my god "It's Fun Time" That sounds like a kids' birthday party full of creepy pedo clowns that sing to ice-cream van music and kidnap little children. Walmart, you may be protecting the masses but you are traumatizing my strange mind

Listener: OH BABY BABY IT'S FU...

Billie: ...FUN TIME!! You know I really want a teddy bear!

Listener:

I do wonder what they'd do with that song though. There's just no decent way to censor it, haha.

Maybe they won't censor DOS I mean it sounds strange if they're going to censor UNO but as you said there really is no way to censor a song called It's Fuck Time

And why do they have to censor things? It's stupid and it doesn't work in most cases. You just run to your computer and check the lyrics to know what the song says, and that when you can't directly hear the word.

I don't think Green Day will agree with something like 'Its Fun Time'. It'll ruin the feel of the song and the albums.

Won't anyone think about the children!! Their little ears mustn't hear these filthy words.

Well, there are other stations that are suitable for kids, aren't there?

However, I don't think they will censor It's Fuck Time. It's the symbol of the album! How can you censor it?

I think they'll censor "It's Fuck Time" to "It's Suck Time" ;)

MCR did it on their last record with Vampire Money, changed lyrics from "we came to fuck" to "we came to suck"...actually ended up sounding more dirty tbh!

Similar effect anyway imho...

If they release a censored version of the albums I wonder if they'd just cut out all the lyrics of Fuck Time altogether - kind of like Blink-182's censored version of Happy Holidays, You Bastard. There was so much profanity they just made it into an instrumental

It would make a good instrumental! (But I would prefer lyrics...)

They're not gonna censor the album, and I really think that the band won't do any clean versions of the songs separately from the final album versions. There's not gonna be It's Fun Time. That and Let Yourself Go are songs where it's based on around the word fuck. Well, Horseshoes & Handgrenades was terrible on Green Day Rock Band because it was censored, but it's a video game. Sure there might be censored versions, but I think that radio stations themselves can decide which version to play.

If someone remembers Lily Allen's song Fuck You from 2009, there was pretty interesting clean version of it, so if you want to speculate how might the clean version of Fuck Time sound like, here's Lily's song:

I don't think there will be a clean version, but somebody said they saw a clean and explicit and a deluxe so that's all we really know right now...

But how do they do those kind of changes? I mean, examples like that one of MCR changing "we came to fuck" for "we came to suck", does the band record the clean version after recording the uncensored one? Or is the company the one that edits the song? In the MCR song I find it easy to substitute the "f" of fuck with an "s" sound from another recording, it doesn't seem like the band recorded those lines again. That would make sense, and I don't see why the band would record an album twice, one for their version and another for the clean version.

I think they just record the different lyrics and then use the same instumental track. Most bands record guitar, drum, bass, lyrics individually so it's easy to make the swap.

I always thought they just recorded that word separately and then mixed it in...got me wondering now

It seems messy/stupid for them to replace that letter from another recording tbh...so gonna with bands record each song as usual, then while doing vocals they'd just record the line or word needed, then mix it in later when they're creating clean versions, no need to re-record the whole thing/album. :)

Then, in case they do that, I'll assume that GD is no longer that transgressive band who used to say "fuck you" to walmart for asking them to censore their records...

I know that it's not a really important point, but it would piss me off to see Green Day yielding to the industry and its demands of censorship. Specially when they have been claming for so long that they don't want to censor themselves no matter what people think...

Oh my god. If Green Day did what Lily Allen did I would be so pissed.

That's worse than changing the lyrics to "It's Fun Time".

My idea for the censoring: They should replace each filthy word with Billie moaning.

Like "Oh, baby baby it's *moans* time...." That would make the song even dirtier. :shifty:

That's all I have to say.

Censorship isn't a huge deal to me. I see the (stupid but that's just my opinion) advantages to censoring it for younger people or for work environments or whatever but I mean I don't think them censoring it is some huge sell out or anything but I still don't think they'd do it. I'm not gonna throw out my punk rock membership card if they do though.

On Walmart's website, when you look up the Oh Love EP, there's a place where it says "About the Album", and well, this is what says-

Artist: Green Day

Studio Label: CD

Edited: No

Format: CD

Enchanced: No

Number of Disks: 1

Release Date: 08/14/12

etc...

So does the "no editing" and "no enchancing" mean that they didn't take out any bad words or bleeped them? I'm thinking they're just gonna add the explict content sticker on the cover.

There is no swearing in Oh Love.
