The Trilogy Albums: ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré!

I think I've missed something important... may someone explain me how we know this?

I got confused by that too. As far as I know, Billboard says "the albums will be set up by presenting three or four songs from each record in the weeks prior to each album's realease. Much of it will be done online and through videos, but the timing keys on significant TV opportunities".

Then on the ¡Uno! bit: "Oh Love is one of the three songs that will be released through video prior to the album".

It doesn't say explicitly that those songs will all be singles, but it doesn't say that they won't either, does it? Unless I'm missing something.

Wow thank you! But if they are singles I don't think I'll buy all singles. Too much things to buy.

If they will make a video for at least 3 songs before Uno is released, where will they find the time to shoot the videos? Maybe they will shoot them all 3 almost at once like a big project? Or maybe they mean that the other 2 videos will be just lyrics videos, pure promotional use, that will be spread through Youtube, which would make more sense actually.

They also have alot of live footage, they could just put the studio version of the song over a live performance from the secret shows.

ok so everyone totally fell in love with Kill The DJ, so i'd so love it as a single...and since we're getting three singles for every album i'd love to have either Let Yourself Go or Carpe Diem as another single...or any of those songs we don't know yet that kicks even more ass than any of the songs i named :P

will be lyric videos

Great idea

I don't think there's any sense on buying singles unless you're a Green Day collector. Or unless you see it in a shop in your city and you can't resist... :shy: haha. A single to most people means that you can see Green Day on MTV and that "normal" (:P) people know that Green Day song.

Does anyone have the pic from Uno but with Billie's shoulders still on it? I know there's somewhere I saw it like that (I thought it was the trailer video but it isn't) and I can't remember where.

This is a little off topic but i'm really looking forward to hearing 8th avenue serenade. It sounds so freaking epic and i really do hope it ends up on one of the albums. I'm guessing tre just cause of how the song trails off in the end so maybe it's the last song on tre?

I was sure there was one like that without the text on it of just Uno, but I'm probably wrong. I managed to get a sort of decent one from the Oh Love trailer.

Thanks though! :)

Kill the DJ has become one of my favorite just by the short clip.

That and the name is fantastic.

Kill The DJ would be a cool single, just because of the title.

I can already imagine the news headlines after the single is released:

"Three DJs have been killed since the release of Green Day's new single. As of this moment, five DJs have been threatened and are still awaiting their faith. You can purchase Green Day's new single on iTunes and..." and so on

The song sounds very 60's blues rock (the yardbirds), and that's a good thing! With that 60's vibe in mind, I could picture it on Dos!

That does bring up a good question though. What's the final song of the trilogy going to be like? Maybe it's one we haven't heard yet and they've been keeping it a secret as not to leek it out yet!

Also this hasn't been discussed since a while, but I guess these aren't conceptual albums. I don't know why, but I can't seem to relate the songs to make a story. But I'll of course have to wait till I hear the songs.

The songs will be conected through themes, but they won't be part of a big story. From what I understood.

yeah i think the same cos Rob (i think it was him?) said "People are gonna ask whether it's concept or not" (or sth like that) and then Billie replied with "I'd say there's a story through this whole thing"...so he didn't say that it's concept, cos it's probably not, but he said there's a story...that's at least how i understood it...

Maybe then there would be some rock music in Polish radio stations available in whole country. And better music in clubs :D

Probably. Those songs sound like the best.

Sounds legit that those will be the singles. Still it's kinda surprising that they didn't choose Carpe Diem/Nuclear Family. I don't know, Carpe Diem just sounded like a single song to me. Maybe that's exactly why they didn't pick it.
