maybe there'll be a soccer game on that day, so they can't do the concert, but i just hope it won't happen, even if i'm not gonna go to that concert...i just think it'd be unfair to all the fans and also the bands if they really said that it won't be able to do the concert that day =/

How important is that soccer game that Green Day should delay their concert there? Green Day was announced way earlier :(

it is a champions league match. and it´s very important for the team. but i don´t understand it too. soccer is too important imo.

Its all a corporate screw up, Green Day can do nothing about it. There should have been a reserve day for the concert or the match just incase :/

i know right...but well, they can't organize a reserve day for the match, so they should have a reserve day for the green day concert or just tell green day that it's not the best idea to do their concert on that day and they should do it a bit later or maybe earlier, just about 2 or 3 days, it's just unfair of how they did it -.-

champion's league, very important to that team, as Nemo. already said, but the green day show was announced earlier, so it's just unfair if the GD concert would get delayed -.-

Maybe the problem is that the concert did not sell out that fast - if it even sold out completely by now. But still, already quite some money went into organizing it, and not to mention the tickets that were sold. And then they come up with an important soccer match out of the blue... Seriously?! :(

naw i think it sold normally, they just have that soccer game in the way....and yeah it just really sucks, i'm sure they knew it before, they knew that the team could maybe play champions league and that there could be a game on that day, i wonder why they just come out with it now  ...it's just not fair to all those people who already bought tickets and everyone who organized the concert, the support band, Green Day...i just hope they won't have to cancel or delay the concert, otherwise i get really angry...

I don't know that much about soccer, but what makes it impossible to put the match a day earlier or later? So they can play their little soccer game AND they can watch Green Day and the other cool bands perform. It's a win-win if you ask me :P

that's because public transportation would be used by too many people: football fans of two teams + green day fans. and there would be very much traffic.

idk that somehow doesn't work cos the club doesn't have any influence on that...i think the dates when the teams play are drawn by lots, but i'm not sure...but i think they still could find a way that their stupid game could be on another day, i mean, is it really important that it's on exactly THAT day? and why has it to be green day who has to delay their concert and not them? they're just stupid

And we are forgetting the stage setup and stuff like that ! It'll be tough to organise the match just after the concert and same with organising the concert right after the match. Setting up such a big stage takes a lot of time.

Soccer is completely overrated. I don't think it's fair for Green Day that, just because the teams wanna play precisely there, they have to change the date of the concert. I mean, why don't they just play somewhere else?

I was kind of hoping they would let you order the three albums as a bundle and you would receive the digital versions of it as each one was released. That way, when ¡Tre! came out you would finally get all three but in a super awesome package, but oh, well.

Digital version? eww I don't know why people wants these. It's like downloading illegally, but without the free part. You paid, but you don't get the satisfaction of having the case, and the CD. You can just have the original CD and download it too if you want the .mp3's

Champions League is a huge competition and also that stadium was built for the team to play in not for consents. So the priority is the team.

What team is it anyway?

I'm not sure, but when you buy songs on iTunes and download it there's a minimal compression (quality loss) in the songs.

Maybe someone can confirm if this is true or not? I have never used iTunes before

Well I was thinking you would get the three albums once the final one was released.

Didn't they do something similar to that when they released 21st Century Breakdown? They had some special package that came with the album and some other stuff, but I think they would ship the entire package some time after it came out, and you could download the album as soon as it came out online.

I dunno, I think they may have done that when. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? Or am I making stuff up?

CD is CD! It's got feeling for me. You can touch it, even kiss the cover, hold it, hug... CD also has a booklet and artwork. It also looks nice on your shelve. And like Sixtrix said, there's compression. Even mp3 with 320 kb/s isn't as good as CD. I ripped all my Green Day records to mp36 to have it on my phone and coputer and sound is better on CD.

That's the thing. I don't see what's the point of buying digital cds, or books, or movies...You are paying for nothing. I mean, of course there is "something", but it is something you can't even see or touch. You miss the art work, the lyrics, the cd... Also, I find it safer to have the objects physically, you can look after them, you can really use them. If you pay for a digital album, a simple failure of your computer can erase it, damage it... I think it's not worth it, even though the industries insists that digital is the future.

That is true, they indeed did that when 21CB was released. You could download the entire album on the release date while you were waiting for that package with the actual cd to arrive (which was about a week or a few days later?)

I think for anyone that is willing to take that deal, it's a fair deal. I personally am not a big fan to have a first listen with a slight quality loss in the songs.

I know it is barely hear able to the naked ear, but when I pay 10-15 euros for a cd or about 8 euros for a download, I still prefer the cd.

And then there's the booklet and artwork. There's no way a digital download could ever compare to that for me personally

I agree with most of you - having a physical CD is so much better than just a digital download. There's nothing that compares to going to a record store the day an album comes out and finding the new CD. That excitement doesn't happen if you're just watching the new album download in your iTunes. Another very important part of a new album is the artwork - it adds so much to the music. It visually prepares you for the mood of the album, and kind of communicates the ideas in the music in a visual way. It's a more complete way to enjoy music.

Plus, you can always upload your CD to your computer (like I do). That's almost like getting two CDs for the price of one.

And like Billie Joe said, you can't bring a digital download up to him and ask him to sign it. Only people with an actual album can get his autograph on it.

Well, I guess you all have a point.. but still, sometimes is very useful downloading things from iTunes or somewhere else online. See, this kind of music is weird to listen here, not much people like it, and it'd be a miracle if you found ¡Uno! in stores by Sept. 25th, I imagine I'd have to wait months to get a physical copy.

On the other hand, even getting it physically, the only place where I listen to music is in my computer and my iPod, I don't have a car or anything to play the CD so.. in the end, who the hell cares where I get the album right?

That's exactly what I mean :)

I had forgotten about the trailer being supposed to be out today. I hope they will be uploaded, I'll be out to pool for some hour this evening so I'll see it when I'm back.
