And then I don't want to see my mom's face expression when she will realise that she hears Green Day.

She won't notice, this song is too different from old Green Day in terms of sound :D Unless some guy on radio says that this is Green Day :pinch:

Oh Danny... =/ I understand if you don't like it. But think that maybe it has cool photos of him in the booklet

Besides, there's a lot of photos that will come with this new era.

Of course! The cover ain't stopping me from buying ¡Dos!. I get the feeling the booklet is gonna be my treasure.

Hah, I did not even think about the booklets before.

I hope they will have some cool designs and pictures

I hope they release a boxset of the trilogy, that would be so awesome. I will not buy the individuals then, direct the boxset !

I also hope for a boxset. It would be great! I think if they release one, they won't wait too much time after the releasing of iTré!

Until then, I'll just download the albums.

Yeah me too. Having 3 albums together, I'm waiting for that to happen. It would be such a great feeling.

I've been pretty dorman and haven't posted for quite a while, (although I've been following up regurally on the front page for info since February). To say I'm excited for this album would be a major understatement. While I enjoy 21CB, I did agree after a while that the next album they did needed to be either more back to basics or a new direction. Upon seeing/hearing the 2011 concert samples, I loved how the new material sounded like pure rock and roll and their image was T-shirts and jeans again.

What's funny is everytime I forget to check back there is a major update. This has happened with both the Uno! trailer as well as the Dos! one. It's just too good to be true. 36 new songs, 3 albums with different musical themes. I probaby am most excited for Dos, since as soon as he mentioned it's garage rock like "Nuggets", (which has become my favorite various artists album of all time), my anticipation for the albums increased even more. Even "Kill the DJ", which I was initially nervous about when reading it was "dance", made me breathe a sigh of relief when I realized the "pile driving guitars" refered to the superb "magnificent seven-style" tune that played in the Uno! trailer!

Speaking of Sandinista, I wonder if the trillogy will be arranged like the latter (12 songs on each record). Guess we'll find that out down the road...

Needless to say, these will be a long 3 months for me, but I'm very excited for this!

That's the problem with the trilogy---I want to have them all physically as soon as they're released, but I'm sure there's going to be a great combined release probably not *too* long after that... but I don't want to (can't afford) to just buy all of them twice. I don't think I'd be happy with just the digital download though. I love holding the thing and the booklet.

Ahh, first world problems.

And if they got a combined release, how is that better than getting them one to one in the release date? I prefer getting them as soon as possible.

Guys, I just checked out the articles about these trailers on ultimate-guitar.com. That site is usually full of shit about Green Day.. lots of haters. So I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that the majority of comments went like this:

ABOUT THE TRAILER FOR DOS

"I was hoping they wouldn't go too commercial again after 21st century, with them being a punk band and all, not that its really my business what music they create or not. But from what has been previewed it appears that they are going in the direction of just sitting down and making music together and you gotta respect them for that. Fairly interested in what I have heard and I haven't said that about Greenday in a while."

"It seems, from the sound of it, they're going back to their punk origins! A welcome return!"

"I'm not a fan of Green Day, pop punk doesnt interest me. UNO, Dos, and Tre, on the other hand, sound very interesting."

"This trilogy is shaping up to be the best thing they've done in years. While the Uno preview was much more appealing, this still peaks my interest... Something I haven't said about GD in a long long time."

"Anyone else hear AC/DC in this? Just me?"

ABOUT THE UNO TRAILER

"Damn, that preview actually sounded quite a bit different from Green Day's usual chord progression/hook driven songs. Might actually get me interested in one of their releases again."

"Gotta admit, it does sound interesting from what the trailer lets you hear. Almost RHCP sounding."

"that preview sounds kickin! as minivirus said, might actually have to check this one out! not what I expected from this band at all!"

"Last time i saw Green Day live (post 21st CB) they seemed to have lost all the seriousness they had left in them that had plagued their last 2 albums. This set of albums looks to be refreshing and fun."

"It's great, because if you listen to the actual chord progression it's really the kind of progression they would typically use, but the groove is completely different for them. I personally am very excited for this record after the mainstream disappointment that was 21CB."

I'm still confused whether to buy a physical copy or not..

So.. we got the album covers on June.. Do you think we'll get a single on July? :D

I'm just going to buy them all individually when they get released. I don't need a boxset just to have one (although they are cool) and if there is any bonus material I will just download it.

Uno is on HMV UK for £10 pre-order, quite a good price I think

Maybe, each record will have a signification to the members on the album cover.

On every album, they would sing about when they were teenagers. It would make me think of the early stuff ( 1039 smoothed and kerplunk).

You all know you could just buy all the cd's separately and then make your own box for them! :P Or just put them side by side on the shelf.

Then I'd wonder what part of Mike's teenager life is relatable to "It's Fuck Time"

:woot::runaround:

I think an update from the how-to-pre-oder-page isn't that far away

Maybe there'll be the trailer for Tre showing up next thursday and then that site will be full with trilogy-artwort and the trilogy will also be for pre-oder everywhere and will be featured on the 'music' page on gd.com :)

For some reason I think Tre's tongue will be sticking out for the Tre' cover. :woot:

I love the style of the covers. I think they'd look amazing framed. Curious what the next color combo will be.

I just went to take a look at the 'Music' page on greenday.com, and I noticed that American Idiot is not in that list..?

i think it'll be blue, cos Tre said "I'm feeling blue" in that one studio update...but it's just a guess ;D

So maybe blue background with yellow logo? Can't wait to find out what they did for the Tre! cover
