So, what's the easiest way to write the upside down exclamation mark?

if you have a numeric keypad you can write it with Alt + 0161

They've already confirmed the third album 'won't be a solo effort by tre'. Honestly some people are idiots.

just because they guessed wrong doesnt mean theyre idiots, it was an interesting thing to think about

They confirmed it's not a solo effort, that doesn't rule out them switching instruments/vocalists.

But really, I don't think that'll happen.

And the guys have all proven to be very versatile, and the odd changes of role every now and then live or in a song is all great fun.

But if they change lead singer/bass/drums for a whole album I'd expect them to release it under another band name because I'd expect that to affect the overall sound of the album too much out of that recognizable green day sound, however wide the definition of green day sound may be.

I posted this in another thread but feel it's need here too. A bit of clarification on iTRE!

No further details were immediately available, and thus it was unknown whether the language and punctuation hinted at a Spanish-language influence creeping into Green Day's increasingly theatrical rock 'n' roll. A spokesperson did, however, confirm that the third album, "Tre," would not, in fact, be a solo effort from Green Day drummer Tre Cool.

People is not understanding my posts. At all.I'm not saying Billie shouldn't be the lead singer anymore.I'm saying that it would be the best for me if Mike and Tré sang lead, but only for Dos and Tré.Of couse is and will be the lead singer, but I would love to have a full album for Mike and Tré so I could just hear their voiced well, appreciate them and love them.Of course I wouldn't like Mike and Tré singing forever more, but would be great for them to have their own album to sing, and they would too have a higher role in concerts.

That idea came to me from the fact of being 3 albums, not 2 or 4,but 3.The third one being called Tré instead of Tres. Those two things make my idea seems pretty possible to me.

And now,I'll leave this discussion because the fact is that there will be 3 Green Day albums, and a sure thing is that they will be awesome. And too, that discussion made me lose most of my hypeness.

they could have made it in Italian cause then it would be even grammatically right :P (except of the ' for sure)

Mh, good point. Dunno, maybe they chose Spanish because more people speak it and they've had Spanish references in their songs before. Plus, there are many Spanish speaking people in California.

So they finally admit (in the video) that they were tring to make us not understand what was happening... It wouldn't surprise me that they had been lurking on GDC to see our impressions... :sherlock::P

I'm so excited for this :D

I recieved this joyous news, whilst in transit on a coach from Dublin centre to the airport. Do you know how difficult it is to do the 'screw anyone who sees me I'm fucking excited dance' while sat down with a seat belt on? Yeah I didn't either till now. Oh I can feel the tension in the air

What were you doing in Dublin? :P

Some people seem to be annoyed about the album names, I just want to ask why? The name of an album doesn't really affect the music... I mean.. if people are giving out about calling albums one two and three (in spanish), then I would love to hear your opinion on the name "Dookie" :P

what do you mean? if it wouldn't be then you would normally write it "iTRES!"

Oh no I don't mean the name itself isn't a reference, I just don't think it means anything about it being Tre's songs or anything. Which has sort of been confirmed now I guess.

I would be really pissed off if I spend money supporting them by buying the 3 albusm individually and then am made to buy a boxed set just to get some DVD extra. Srsly. They better not pull that.

Funny how during the MMM finals, people were all "oh Tokio Hotel's releasing two albums soon" and now we can go "oh well, Green Day has 3 coming up".

I don't think that'll happen, it just doesn't seem like something they would do, I don't think GD would ever pull shit like that when it comes to the fans

Yeah,Green Day cares a lot about fans, and that would be a pile of shit for the ones who bought it when it came out.I hope the DVD is better than the Tokio AAF one.I hate how that Japanese guy says "oeh oeh" for Know Your Enemy...

Only artists like Beyonce will pull such a prank. They, and their record label, are only focused on how to get the most of money from the adoring fans.

It kind of sounds harsh when I say it like that, but those kinds of record labels throw artists out -cancel contracts- when their album did not reach enough sales (a.k.a. a "flop") - Flop would be a funny name for a leprechaun btw

Green Day is blessed to be at Reprise. I think they got all the freedom there and they would never be forced to pull a stupid marketing stunt to gain more money from their fans.
