DannyDirnt
to me it's kinda an as serious as the songs before song just in a happier way... That phrase hurt my brains lol still didn't get it
WhatserKinx
I love Foxboro and the 60's sound also thanks to my dad. I was brought up with The Beatles songs and many Polish bands playing this kind of music. It's really nice to sit togehter and listen to music together, so why not to listen together Green Day now? And I treat Stop Drop and Roll not as a Foxboro record, but as a Green Day record. That's still the same people who made Dookie, AI and Foxboro. For me it's just another name for these guys (and another type of package for CD ). I'm the same I see FBHT as another side to the guys, I don't really know how to explain it but the 'Tubs aren't another band in my eyes they are a part of GD like Sgt. pepper to the Beatles, or Ziggy Stardust to Bowie. Elena
Oh, long songs are ok but please no more political songs. They aren't that relatable and I don't like politics. i actually love their pilitical songs and to me they're also very relatable: i really hate politicians and i hate it how they destroy so much so a political song against such a politician is the perfect thing in a moment where you just have to facepalm about those politicians ;D ...and Green Day aren't that political, as far as i know only AI and Holiday were really political from AI and also 21CB wasn't very political ..and Billie once said that they aren't a political band and people just interpretate too much into the songs sometimes, so don't worry, i doubt they'd exaggerate it with politics on their trilogy ;D Thanks Elena! you know, it sounds pathetic but I got moved while writing that you're welcome and no, it doesn't sound pathetic...i got moved while i read it That phrase hurt my brains lol still didn't get it well, the most serious songs are...well, serious and sometimes even sad, carpe diem is happy but still has a serious message to me...i hope you understand what i mean
The Pedestrian
I prefer random funny titles. I prefer funny songs over serious ones mostly. For me, Green Day was too serious in AI and 21CB. Disapperingirl
Don't want to bug anyone but I don't think it's fair to keep holding It's Fuck Time as an exemple of how funny, straight, cheap, gross and everything all the other songs will be. As far as we know, there could be a long, poetic and deep song among the others...and I mean, Carpe Diem already seems to be poetic etc.
Elena
Don't want to bug anyone but I don't think it's right to keep holding It's Fuck Time as an exemple of how funny, straight, cheap, gross and everything all the other songs will be. As far as we know, there could be a long, poetic and deep song among the others...and I mean, Carpe Diem already seems to be poetic etc. agree...and uhm...It's Fuck Time is also deep...if you know what I mean ...and i think the trilogy will be poetic and deep as all the other albums, just in a different way... There are some songs like Carpe Diem or Stray Heart which aren't so funny and it's Green Day. As many interpretation as we want
DannyDirnt
Oh my God! I just thought: and what if Green Day made another 10-minute epicness, and it was all flithy? from that kind of flithy songs that make you laugh a lot? Would be my favorite song! A new JoS/Homecoming with sex stuff i actually love their pilitical songs and to me they're also very relatable: i really hate politicians and i hate it how they destroy so much so a political song against such a politician is the perfect thing in a moment where you just have to facepalm about those politicians ;D ...and Green Day aren't that political, as far as i know only AI and Holiday were really political from AI and also 21CB wasn't very political ..and Billie once said that they aren't a political band and people just interpretate too much into the songs sometimes, so don't worry, i doubt they'd exaggerate it with politics on their trilogy ;D well, the most serious songs are...well, serious and sometimes even sad, carpe diem is happy but still has a serious message to me...i hope you understand what i mean I actually run away from politics. I see it as a loss of time, I'll only think they're dumb and start critisizing them like everyone does. I prefer avoiding it. After all, it must be hard to manage things when you see yourself up there. And yes, I got the phrase now. And I agree, I prefer happy deep songs, I already have anough sad stuff haha now I want a happier funnier album. Also I'm already dying to hear Dos if Mike has something to do with it. WhatserKinx
I got a feeling Tom Kitt might have done some beautiful (string) arrangements for Drama Queen That would be so amazing, I think (hope) they will keep it as a soothing (for lack of a better word) ballad, with amazing acoustics. also just 'cause I'm greedy and want gossip I want to know who wrote it and who it's directed towards

Fuck Time's probably just that album's Dominated Love Slave but it's being hyped up to sound like this'll be a trilogy of Fuck Times, when it probably won't be. But then I thought Fuck Time wouldn't even make it, so hell, what do I know?

DannyDirnt
Each time I remember It's Fuck Time will be on the albums I get hyped. Do you think it will have changed? Or will it stay like before because it's already been played that way many times and they like it that way?
DoodleBob
Honestly, if it wasn't for the crowd's reaction to It's Fuck Time, I don't think it would be on any of the albums. It probably was just for fun, but then they realized how much people loved it live. That shows you the power of an audience!

It's Fuck Time could have continued as a live-only song and people would enjoy it anyway. I don't think they would put a song they don't really love themselves on an album just because it's awkwardly cool live.

But then again, maybe the reaction of the audience did influence them a little bit.
