Anyone think there might be a song simillar to this kinda retro vibe ith a twist but obviously a little more GD

I don't know, but I love that AAR song! It's one of my favorites from their new album

I think it would be cool of some songs on the new GD albums have a retro vibe. I kind of get that from the song playing in the trailer, so yeah. :D

Now we wait to pre order, tour dates, other albums, official tracklist, and single. Still a lot left.

Words cannot express my excitement about the fact that Stay the Night is on Uno. Won't be much longer until we hear a studio version.

speaking of singles, how do you think they will release the second or third? Once Uno is out, by the time a second or third single would be released the single for Dos would probably be coming out relatively soon. Haha there could be like 9 or more new Green Day songs on the radio when it's all said and done.

The song in the video sounds very Black Keys/White Stripes-esque, I like it. I've noticed a lot of mainstream rock bands have been doing the bluesy sound lately, and I think Green Day does it pretty well.

I'm not even going to talk about what I think of the album cover because I can tell I'm in the minority here.

I just played the video for my sister (a secondhand Green Day fan). She loved it, but also said it didn't sound at all like Green Day.

I refuse to even skim through 105 pages but has it been hypothesized that based on the album cover that each album is either dedicated by album art or song writing to one of the boys?

First being BJ, second Mike and of course Tre third?

I bet at least the album art work does based on Uno. Of course, I am sure someone has thought of this.

Yup someones already mentioned it. :)

It will be awesome. I'm getting the retro feel about the whole thing, which can turn out to be good :D

The cover reminds me SOOO much of Sum 41's Does This Look Infected?'s cover.

I like the feel of it ! Haha.

Lately I've been thinking about how exciting it is that I get to make three different trips to the store to get this album. THREE.

It is exciting, but it also means we are going to have to spend even more money. Which isn't that exciting.

I just had a crazy revelation in my mind (don't know if this has already been suggested in some way by someone else) but the fact that they are releasing three albums does seem rather insane. Does anybody think the whole reason for uno,dos and tre could be to expire the terms of their record deal or something so that green day can go onto Adeline or Epitaph records ect. The adeline logo all over their vids, might be a hint at this?

What do you guys think?

They discussed that theory on the punknews podcast. Although it's possible, I doubt it's true.

I'm still a tad bit disappointed by the cover... It doesn't seem to tell a story like past Green Day covers did. I always loved how each cover seemed to make such a powerful statement about the album, and this artwork just isn't that thought provoking to me. But maybe I will be eating my words when the album comes out in September :)

You are correct, for previous albums, it did say something about the album as a whole - connected to a theme of the album. With U,D,T, we're not sure if there is a theme or not. Judging by what we've heard so far and some of the song titles, it doesn't seem like there will be a theme.

Please tell me Tre is going to resemble Rocky on his album cover.

I think Mike's the better one to pull off Rocky. Tre would make a better Eddie but he'd need to dye his hair black.

Asked and answered. Short answer: /strongly disagree.

My main reason for liking the cover is that it's the opposite of their last few covers. It's just Billie Joe's goofy face and that's all it needs to be.

Probably a stupid question, but has it been confirmed that all the songs that were shown on the main whiteboard tracklist thing in the video will be on Uno? Or is that just a general track list?

Nothings been confirmed yet, it's just based on what we saw in the trailer for Uno. :)

Glad I'm not the only one who drew similarities between MCR's Danger Days cover and Uno. Expanding on that I find it funny that both bands went from concept/storyline albums to a more plain, loud rock sound.

I can see where you're coming from with this, but I'm thinking that the bright, simple, whackyness of Uno's cover is telling a story in that's it's capturing the band's current state of mind. It's the explosion of funky (that awesome funk rhythm Tre's playing in the video), spontaneous, uncomplicated rock'n'roll that we've heard so far. Even its title is simplistic.

Maybe I'm over-analysing here, I don't know, but it's what I like to believe.

For all we know it could just be the band having a mid-life crisis.

I'm hoping that the booklet will have cool artwork and design. I got the special edition of 21st CB that was like an actual book, but when I looked at the normal booklet, the artwork and design seemed to be pretty poor. American Idiot and Dookie in particular had great designs inseide the booklets.

I was suprised these news didn't excite me that much. First I just thought about how much I hate the new cover  (not that I care at all though) But then it suddenly hit me and I started making weird fangirl noises which I never do. I am SO exited :runaround:

Best album cover of all time: Simple to the core (Dark Side of The Moon)

Actually what about the White and Red/Blue albums from the beatles for simple to the core

I'm starting to seriously love that cover. My initial reaction was the same disappointed one as some other people, especially after how much I loved the 21CB album art, but I think maybe this cover does tell a story after all. The story of letting yourself go and seizing the day and not giving a shit what everyone else thinks.

Also I have no idea without seeing any of it for real, but if that tracklist board was in order then I do sort of see a theme running through the titles, not a heavy concept like AI or 21CB but maybe a vague one or something. That could be total bullshit though, I don't even know the actual tracklist or lyrics yet so it's too early for that. You can find a concept in any album if you try hard enough so yeah.
