The Trilogy Albums: ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré!

I'm highly doubting the 6-13 meant anything for 6-13-2012. I bet it was 6/13/2011 when they were at that studio. And that's footage from that day.

But I won't be surprised if we hear something, I guess. It'd be about time.

I think so too.

But I kinda want billie to tweet about it

Something in the lines of :

" can't believe it's been a year since we first started to jam new songs "

Oh, ok. I thought it was later. Again, it's already 5:30pm here.

Again, they don't care what time it is in Spain.

I'm not gonna lie, yesterday I saw the 6/13 vid to see if I could find some sort "hint" for today   But I'm just paranoid, I know... :P

Anyway, the day has just started...

the question I came in here to ask has there been any more word on the documentary of making the albums?: Will it be released with one of the trilogy as a second disc or a completely separate release?

Thank you Big Ben. I am sure the current time is completely relevant to the release of the trilogy. The time here is 5 past me giving a fuck. You really gotta stop posting irrelevant stuff in this thread.

I can not get my head around the fact that you can get so angry about such a simple thing.

Matt already said what needed to be said. Your rude message really is very irrelevant.

Fixed it, just got fed up with constant irrelevant posts from the above user

Would it be cool if they bring it out in like 3 part ? One with every album ? A doubt that will happen ......

Or separate release might sound about right :)

I was thinking about that too. But it may be a bit too confusing when they release it in parts. When some new fans jump in on Dos or Tre, they might have no idea why the documentary starts in the middle or the end.

I hope that, as soon as they reveal some info about the new albums, they will finally mention something about the documentary too.

I understand. But you have a good question though. I think it is about time they tell us more about the documentary.

Until now, as far as I can remember, it has only been mentioned by Billie once before in a Rolling Stone article.

(Dont know if somebody already said this)

Tre said that they are mixing the 3 albums...I was thinking... Imagine if they release three singles (one for each album) before the release of UNO?

That would not be a good idea. Cause then radios would have to pick one of the three each time.

Bands want big hits. Not three songs that each got some time on the radio - cause nobody remembers those after a few years.

Then again.. They released 21stCB/East Jesus Nowhere around the same time (in different parts of the world).. which I always thought was a terrible idea.

3 singles? Also that would be too much to buy, so maybe people wouldn't be willing to buy 3 singles and they would sell somewhat less?

I'm not a fan of collaborations. I don't really know why, I think it's because I'm buying an album to hear that artists music. Everyone likes different artists, we here all like green day but not all of us like Panic! at the disco (just an example 'cause someone mentioned them earlier) and so I personally might avoid that song because I don't like the collaborating artist.

I like panic! :dry::lol:

I'm (obviously) not talking like a whole album of collabs, but like a couple just because to me it doesn't seem like they do very many collaborations.

I know that most people prefer it like that, but I think it's good for an artist or bands to work with other bands/artists just because it could help them in their own music  Green Day is obviously experimenting with new stuff that they've not really done before, so I think in a way this would be a great time to experiment with other bands within the same genera, such as Blink-182 (they're the first to really come to mind when I think of bands similar to Green Day, so I threw them out there ) :) Didn't one of them say something about they're always open to new ideas and willing to try something at least once?

i like collabos if they don't get too much...and well, just as a bonus track or as a b-side on a single :P

that's in a way what I was talking about :P

Just more collaborations in general  even if they're not on the albums

At the end of this interview about the musical in SF, Tom Kitt says he's working with them on the trilogy! (Probably in the same capacity as 21CB)

Green Day liked Kitt's work on "American Idiot" so much they invited him to work on some arrangements for "21st Century Breakdown," and there will be another collaboration on the band's upcoming album (or, as Kitt says, "three albums at once").

I know Kitt did arrangements for the last album, but what exactly did that entail? Was it specific songs that we know he worked with them on?

This would never happen cause then the world would explode because of the awesomeness of that song

I thought he worked mainly on the orchestras/string sections ... which makes this info interesting XD

I think he helped them with finding the best arrangements with orchestra and how to get a deeper feel out of a song by maybe adding a different instrument than Green Day would initially have thought of. I'm not sure though. But if he was responsible for songs like Peacemaker and Restless Heart Syndrome, then I am really really stoked that he worked on the trilogy as well!
