The Grohl
I don't want to offend you but everytime someone writes that he has to close his eyes whilst watching the video or something like this I have to think: Yo pussy! O watched it all the way through once! After that no more lol. I'll just picture in my head thanks.

The Grohl
Yeah I don't get it either. I can watch all the scary movies I want, but the teeth getting pulled out? No friggin way.
BJA TC MD
Listening to it now Well, this is fitting. I have a dentists appointment in a few hours. Also, with the video, I don't find it that disgusting. The first time I watched it, it was on my iPod on the way home from school on the bus. That's a bad place to get sick because of a video. The Snark
This is such a great song! I spent a lot of time after buying Insomniac, laying on my bed and reading the lyric book while listening to the songs, and hearing this song always brings that memory back. But as much as I love watching super gory movies, real-life medical shows, and my uncle skinning animals, I can in no way watch the video for this. Actually, I don't think I've ever seen the whole thing...

MrLund96
@Sweet Armataged Chump I think he sings, "and I'm missing some of my verse" ... amazing song, love it!
The Snark
you watched your uncle skinning animals but you can't watch this video? I've even helped him a few times! But yeah, I had some pretty bad experiences with a dentist when I was younger, so now anything dental related freaks me out. I do still go to the dentist of course. I just have to be gassed for anything more than a cleaning.

No matter how hard I listen, I cannot hear the word 'methamphetamine' in the song. To me it sounds like 'meth-ladskfnaweirjaedf'.

Malleus
Of all of Green Day's singles, this is the one that I like the least. It's still a great song, I could just never get that into it.
Bastard of 1967
Late to the table again...forgive me, work has been nuts lately. A few quick thoughts -- first, I'm very glad Green Day has not attempted another gory video after Geek Stink Breath. I can't watch it without getting woozy. I understand why they felt it was appropriate, but PleaseOhPleaseOhPleasePrettyPlease don't ever do that again. Geek Stink Breath as a song is Green Day taking you along on a meth trip. It's all in the rhythm -- Tre's hyperactive percussion barely changes from the first verse to the last, and Mike's overwhelming bass is right there in lock-step with it. That rhythm is clockwork, you could literally set a watch by it, it's so precise. There are no judgments being made here -- it's tell-it-like-it-is songwriting, with the band using their music and Billie's lyrics to show, not just tell but show, you what it's like to be strung out on speed. If you're looking for *the* perfect background track to keep you energized on the Stairmasters at the gym, this is the one to pick.
