It depends. Tickets will go on sale tommorrow. They could be sold out immediately, or not. In that case you could still buy tickets in June.

Idk anything about the venues though, as in, how many standing tickets/seating tickets there are.

Okay, first Green Day freak out since 2010! :runaround:

So glad that I waited to buy tickets for Rock en Seine, because... to be honest a real concert is a thousand times better!

They might be sold out by then, but there are always tickets being sold on ebay and they're usually not much more expensive.

Guys, if this is not a festival but part of their album-supporting tour, that means that the FULL album, not just a single, would be out by then!

Gaaah why did I have to book Rock am See already :( I really need to learn my lesson and wait for UK dates now. I will not be tempted to go to these. /lie

Awesome news though! :D

Who says that it's part of an album-supporting tour? I mean, I hope it is, but it would be kinda weird to announce German gigs first. They usually always play the US and Canada first and then Europe. I think those are just two additional gigs to the festivals, because they love Germany so much (or because Germany is the biggest market for music in Europe which is more likely, haha). But whatever it is, I don't care as long as I get so see them!

It doesn't really matter. They usually go around the world twice. It'd be quite strange if they would be doing a *third* show with more or less the same songs as the previous tour. I dunno, it doesn't seem like Green Day to be playing 10 (or so) official shows without playing the new material.

They usually start in the US, but there's no reason why they couldn't start in Europe first this time.

Good point. I think they never did that, did they? But that would imply that the new album would be out by then. So they'd have to announce a release date some time soon. Gosh, this band freaks me out way too much.

That's what I thought as well. Which show do you want to go to?

I don't like the way eventim writes about the shows btw. It says:

"Derzeit basteln die Punk-Rocker fleißig an ihrem neunten Studioalbum , welches Green Day den deutschen Fans live und Open Air präsentieren:

29.08.2012 Mönchengladbach / Warsteiner HockeyPark

30.08.2012 Berlin / Kindl-Bühne Wuhlheide

Der Vorverkauf beginnt am 28.03. um 9 Uhr!"

They could just assume that, but if you read it you can also think the guys will play the new album at those shows.. Which I doubt right now, but it's possible.

I'll go to Mönchengladbach. Doing both shows would be awesome, but I'd have to drive all night and... I don't know if I want that.

Well, from what eventim says it sounds like they'll definitely play their new album during those shows. Eventim is usually very reliable, but how are they supposed to know that the album will be released by then?

The capacity of the venue in Berlin is 17.000 which sounds a lot but remember GD played venues of 25.000 capacity and sold those out.

I can imagine though that those shows won't sell out too fast since the new album isn't even out yet so probably a lot of people won't be interested in going until they hear the new album.

You could still of course buy a ticket and if you're not able to go sell it on Ebay or on the forum.

What's the capacity of the Mönchengladbach one? I Googled it but couldn't find anything. I have no idea why I'm considering this but yeah, I'm only gonna live once.

seats? is there no stand area?

Well, it's normally a hockey stadium, so I think the field will be the standing area. But I don't know how many people fit in there and I could only find the number of seats on the website.

Why the fuck did they only post it in the Idiot Club? they're trying to find a utility for it?...

I hope Angels and Airwaves and All Time Low only support them in those two dates, a full tour with them would be ->

I'm going to see Green Day when I go to a Green Day concert, but if there's a good band supporting, I think it's great. And I particulary hate All Time Low, I had to see them last year when I went to see My Chemical Romance and I got so bored, with fangirls screaming around me and I was just praying for them to go so that my ears could go back to normal

I mean, I wouldn't not go to see Green Day because of them or anything, but it would be a pain in the ass.

The one above was my 1,039 post! :D:P
