Just researched getting from Konstanz to Bologna by plane. It's so expensive (about £310) and the flight doesn't even get there in time for the festival :( still want to look into other ways of maybe getting there though, it'd be great!

it would be awesome to go to this gig and the Paris one...

still can't decide what to do - whether to go to at least Paris or not. hope we hear news of any official GD tour soon so i can budget it all out!

I was thinking that too, like I don't want to not be able to afford their tour concerts here because I go to Italy :/

Still, maybe I could ask for money as an early birthday present.. :ermm:

They said they'll be announcing them in the next few days, knowing them it could be a month though lol. I've heard Social Distortion and Zebrahead are rumored to play but yeah, just rumors.

There's one option by train as far as I can see. Stressful, but possible. (From search on bahn.com)

Konstanz Su, 02.09.12 dep 05:24

Bologna Centrale Su, 02.09.12 arr 16:20

Sale possible 92 days in advance at earliest

Travel time: 10:56 Change of train: 3

And it's possible to drive there by car in about 6 hours...

I just can't decide if I'm going, but if I am, I'd like to do both! I kind of just want to wait for tour to be announced, but so afraid that Rock am See and I-Day will be sold out before that happens :(

Same here, I'm still torn about all of it because I'd hate to book all of this and then an arena tour only be a few months later.

I'd do the train if I had to but the cheap flights to Konstanz which we could book tomorrow will be gone by the time the train could be booked :( ahh. I don't know what to do.

Is anyone planning on driving or hiring a car from Konstanz? Neither of us drive but we could split costs or something.

Maybe book the cheap flight to Konstanz, and try to find a cheap flight back home from Bologna or Milano (only 1-2 hours by train from Bologna)? And cross fingers that someone will rent a car or a bus from Konstanz to Bologna, worst case taking the train. I think that's what I'll do if I decide to go. But so torn! Wish they'd announce tour NOW! Also, I'd have to fly to Frankfurt (4-5 hours by train from Konstanz), as flying to Zürich or Stuttgart is €100 more! :(

Ah that sucks about Frankfurt, I thought we'd have to fly there in the beginning because it's so much cheaper but if we fly from a different airport Zurich works out a bit cheaper after all. I think Frankfurt - Konstanz is something like €150 on the train while Zurich - Konstanz is €40 so it might be worth flying into Zurich anyway, if that makes any sense :P

Well, I just found super cheap flights for London - Zurich and Bologna - London. It'll be an adventure but maybe we should just do it :woot:

I've seen the cheapest train-fares Frankfurt Flughafen (airport) - Konstanz at €34, so it'd be worth flying there for me. I'd just have to buy the train tickets as soon as they go on sale to get that price. It's great that you can fly into Konstanz! Also the super cheap flights you found out of London makes me want to say just go for it!

I could ask for some money for my birthday as it is in September, but I don't know... I'll wait for a bit and make sure they don't announce a show in England or somewhere really close.. :ermm:

That awesome feeling when you receive an email from a concert website that you subscribed years ago telling you that Green Day are coming to Italy.

And even though you already knew that, you're so fucking happy you could cry

Does anyone know how many tickets will be sold?

On the wiki page for the festival it says 40 000 people attended the festival in 2000 and 2001. If that's the case, I guess it's no need to worry about the tickets selling out fast!

Well, now we only know that Green Day will play on the second day of the festival, and that the Killers will play on the first. There are some rumors about Social Distortion, but it's not confirmed yet. Anyway I read that other bands will be soon announced, and I think this will be during this week, because the tickets sale starts on Friday :)

Have I missed something, or are you talking about the UK arena tour rumours on the Reading/Leeds forum (or whatever it was)?

That's the only thing that's been said about the UK, as far as I know.
