Heather.
I wonder what Jason is going to bring to the table with him being involved in the song writing process. He's excellent with the boys live, seeing him in studio should be interesting. There hasn't been news of him being an offical member now, it makes me wonder if he's just going to be like a guest on the album in the same sense that Jason Freeze was. It's very interesting. Because I'm pretty sure he was present in the studio for the last few albums as well, so his presence doesn't *necessarily* mean he's recording. At least, in the Virgin Radio Italian interview, when they asked the band about it, Tre and Mike were pretty adamant in saying that Jason & the live guys don't record. So it'll be interesting to see if that changes.
Mar
Really looks like the Longview house at 0:22 (but I'm 99 percent sure it's not)!

Interesting Maybe they have this understanding that Jason is playing along during rehearsals and live shows, but will not be used while recording, or something like that. Billie can pull off all the guitar parts, if Jason would get to record some guitar parts it will probably mainly be because they want to do him a favor after being a loyal live member for more than 10 years. But now I also wonder if they allow him to be involved with the writing process...
Hermione
Jason wrote and played on the Foxboro Hot Tubs album so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch for him to do the same on a Green Day album. Plus they always have additional musicians for piano and other instruments they can't play anyway. I don't think it would be so much a favour as a natural progression if he contributed something, he's not only a live member but also a good friend and member of FBHT, The Network and Pinhead Gunpowder so they're well used to working with him in the studio already. I don't think him contributing would have to mean he was joining the band as a full member though (since I can't imagine him wanting to!), it would just be a slight step up from what he's done already and not a big deal. Paul McCartney
Just saw it. Billie doesn't even act his age.
Izzard
I could have sworn Billie recently called Green Day a quartette...so that must mean something different for Jason on this record, right? I don't know....

But we'll see what will happen with this record as soon as more information will be given out

Green Day just plain sounds better with Jason in the mix -- you realize that at every live performance they do. Now it looks like we're finally going to see him add some of that extra sparkle to the studio recordings. I could have sworn Billie recently called Green Day a quartette...so that must mean something different for Jason on this record, right? I don't know.... Exactly -- I think it was at one of the recent surprise shows when he dropped that bomb. Can't remember which one.
Guest Just Another Joe
It's very interesting. So it'll be interesting to see if that changes. In the "making of" videos he was always there in some way or another but here he has the studio headphones on and looks like he's actually recording. The thing is, even though they said the live guys don't record, Jason Freeze is credited for playing piano for the past two albums and Ronnie Blake was credited for playing sax on AI. This is quite the interesting year for GD fans.
SynthwaveTrooper
looks good, saw the other video and thank god the rock opera phase is over.
Sixtrix
At first I was kind of disappointed when I came to realize that they might not be doing a rock opera/story kind of album for the new one. And the new songs did not seem very strong from what I heard of some of the (bad quality) live recordings of their secret shows. But after watching those 2 videos they put out, and seeing them having so much fun at writing and recording the new album, it completely got me stoked! Maybe it is time to go back to their roots a bit and make less complicated music with the good old Green Day arrangement twists. Who knows, it might be another big success or at least another kick ass album!
