Yeah, I was refferring to the other time when Green Day won as best punk band on Facebook...I think :P but of course GDC is more powerful :lol:

But...wasn't there a post about that on GDA too?? :huh:

Anyway great! I'm gonna vote for Green Day right away!

Edit: can't find them on the list :search:

There was a post on GDA briefly, however i spoke to Andres and we decided that it would be better to start this out on GDC ;)

Are they on the 2nd page perhaps?

nope...i've searched them on all 3 pages, but couldn't find them...either i'm dumb and just didn't see them :D ...or they aren't in that list :unsure:

It was probably just Billie there because whoever wrote it looked at the word "Singers" in the title and thought it had to be a singer rather than a band.

Shall we vote for Billie and Green Day? Might as well!

Edit: Oh I can't find Green Day on the list either.

This is really a weird way to plan your Olympics, I mean, you'd at least think they'd stick to British bands and artists...and you'd think they'd have it all planned out already.

Of course, after what we saw in China, they'd probably need a full blown revival of the goddamn Beatles to top it.

yeah apparently if you wait for a while after you vote the first time, you can vote again...but Green Day aren't already on the list =/

However I was thinking...when only Billie was supposed to go the interview in NYC, the whole band went...and when the whole band was supposed to go to the Mark Twain Prize, only Billie Joe went...so we never know :lol:

Is voting for this not a bit pointless ? I'm fairly sure the opening ceremony has already been planned and even if it hasn't there's no way they'd let the public* decide who performs or let people vote for an American act.

* We'd all go for Jedward wouldn't we ?

I just don;t think Green Day are the right people to perform at the London Olympics! Should be a British band.

But I'm not totally against it as I auditioned for the Olympic ceremonies and got through the first round, got another audition for drumming and am waiting to hear whether I'm in or not...

If someone adds Green Day now then all the Green Day votes will be split between two choices and neither will win... The title says singers not bands so whoever added just BJ wasnt wrong. Besides they're going to have to all perform together if its anything but good riddance and that'd be a poor choice at an opening ceremony... heh
