greendaytone
This^ How come the other two songs aren't somewhere out there to listen? Sandra (who uploaded the first 2) is planning to upload the others later. (she ran out of battery last night - camera battery i think, not her battery!) spark in the night
"Well I'm a girl from Minnesota I call it pop and you call it soda" haha yes! I think its cute. I would call it lolli-punk The quality of the recordings reminds me of GD's early EPs, where they probably just recorded them in 1 or 2 takes. and it was probably in Billie's basement, don't they have their own recording studio? Also, to the people who do have copies, is there any information on the back of the album sleeve that says where it was recorded/produced? I'm not expecting Billie's address, but I was just wondering if there were any clever bits of info or messages on the sleeve?
Heather.
I was wondering about the quality of the recording too. I'm assuming this is how it sounds on the vinyl/CD and not just poor uploading. Part of me was surprised by that because they certainly have easy access to great recording equipment, but considering this seems like a fun thing they did, I'm not surprised they didn't try to make it sound professional. captain peroxide
I didn't realize the only judgement people are allowed to make about this had to involve freaking out about how amazing and special and cute it is. It's new music, I don't really care if it was just for fun or whatever, I'm still going to evaluate it like I do any piece of music and state my impressions. I don't think anyone's freaking out about it, it's obviously not the best piece of music ever but it's certainly not terrible either. I think it's a pretty good effort, and Adie sounds great Is there anything Billie can't do?
Vrock09
The songs are catchy as hell though..They've been in my head all damn day and I only listened to them twice lol I was wondering yesterday of why/how they came up the name "The Boo". What I came up with is totally bananas but, since Joey is doing Emily's Army and all, I wondered, (being from a family of 7 myself where sibling riverly is always a factor), if this was kinda Jakob's thing. I noticed in the comments of Sandras videos (thank you Sandra btw), that Jakob was listed as "The Boo". Not in the wrong sense where he's being an attention seeker, but maybe it was sorta a thing where Adie and Billie wanted to showcase his talents too. Considering his age, I was very impressed by his playing in both songs.....Now they could have just picked the name because it was sorta a quick thing and I think I'm probably looking into this more than I need to, but I was just daydreaming and it's Xmas break soo forgive me lol. Sanity Loan
Well, I'm just trying to provide a counterpoint to the hordes of screaming fangirls proclaiming this to be the best thing ever. And yes, that is an exaggeration. I do agree with you that people are taking it over the top. My post addresses both sides. Those who are slamming it and those who think itz lyke tha best thang eva!!11!!!!1 Is there anything Billie can't do? Suck my dick
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love
But the thing is that no one's been slamming it... unless I missed some posts (which is entirely possible, it won't be the first time that happens), I've only seen people say they don't like or that they don't think it's great. I've read some where people are against but not saying it's the worst thing ever. I think a lot of people are keeping to themselves though. I mean, it's just for fun like everyone's been saying. No biggie. Not the next Green Day or anything obviously.

Katarina.
Earlier today I listened to those two songs that have been put on youtube so far, and I like it. Liking it as in, the fact they gave that vinyl instead of a Christmas card/giving it as a present.. Now that is awesome and very creative! I think it's great Billie and his family got together for the Boo and recorded these songs. What a nice little project.

Bastard of 1967
I personally like it so far. Nice and simple. I actually like Adrienne's voice She ain't bad at all, and Jakob's got some serious potential with that guitar. They've brought a lot of different styles together... a 60's "flower child" vibe a little like FBHT does, with some 80's new wave and punk blended in. Kindof like the Buggles meets the Beatles meets the Go-Go's. Thumbs-up IMO.
