Well yeah, the term pop rock for the whole act is offending I think. But along with others, It's okay ; there's a bit of pop rock in GD. But hell, if you're a "broken GD fan" you should know there's more than that in the band. I mean, even including the last album which is clearly power pop.

I won't, I'd love it if this was released on vinyl. I think with the EA record you get a digital download together with the vinyl. Same with Dookie. So idk, if it's like that it'd be great.

I don't mind if it is released on vinyl, I'd just prefer a CD or iTunes download also. But since you mentioned the digital download thing, I guess that would be fine. I just think it would be easier for people without a record player to have a CD or iTunes access instead of having to buy the vinyl for a digital download.

lol. Did you seriously join GDC to tell us that we are undiagnosed psychotics?

Welcome to the world of online fandom .... if you think this is bad, you should check out the My Chemical Romance one. We might have a few crazies with crushes on the boys' kids; they have crazies that write fanfiction inbvolving the band and their kids, who are all toddlers.

 Agreed. One tiny dose of Frerard and you understand what crazy is. :P

Oh yeah. Them are globally more crazy than we are...actually I think that one of those diabolic Killjoys edited Frank Iero's Wikipedia page and wrote a long wall saying he was married to Gerard way, with false interviews and all

We are definitely sane, people

Hey. Maybe when Tony does the interview with Larry, he can ask about The Boo. You think Larry would know something about it since they are friends?

 Damn. I wish I had seen that! I wonder how long it took for someone to realise that all that information was false.

I'm not going to complain about MCR creepy fans there, it's suicidal

Anyways, I hope to hear more about the Boo! (Hahaha I still laugh at the name xD)

I actually seriously dislike the name.

... However, I enjoyed the lengthy drama revolving around Green Day fans being in love with Billie's sons. I was just starting to get bored with GDC, ((As this does happen from time to time,)) But now my interest is renewed! :runaround:

I just realised how similar it sounds to a soap opera.

GDC should have its own soap opera on TV.

As for the name (The Boo, not the soap opera), I seriously think it has somthing to do with The Who.

We're too quick to push away the good stuff here - like when Green Day fans were The Zombies Who Terrified Aaron Cometbus, people got all defensive about it. Now we have the chance to be GDC - A Community of Undiagnosed Psychotics, and I think we should embrace it.

And I will never be able to be convinced that GD can't be classified as pop-rock. Hell, first album I randomly looked at on wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia....en_Day_album%29 ) and lo and behold, Pop-Rock. I know thats just wikipedia, but with obsessive as fans of GD can be, don't you think someone wouldve edited that out if it were some blasphemous thing? Nothing wrong with pop-rock at all.

Some songs may be pop-rock. But the bands style, attitude, and roots are 100% punk.

I read that as "Underage Pedophiles."

Oh gosh... seriously guys, you don't need to argue like that. They are just kids as young as Jakob is, let them love him or be in love with him. Whatever they want to! And maybe this album is the chance to get to know the artistic side of Jakob and Adrienne! haha I can't wait to listen to The Boo! These are exciting news! :D

It's the same as saying "I love Billie"

You don't really love him, you just think ya do ya know?

no, I DO love billie. There's different ways of loving someone. I'm not in love with him, because that's not possible. But there's different ways of loving someone. You don't love your family the same way you love a friend, or your boyfriend, do you? I love billie because I admire him, I look up to him, and he's helped me out SO MUCH for personal reasons for so many years.

Anyways, I just realize they have stickers for The Boo as well! This HAS to be a new little side band! I'm so excited for this.

from the looks of it they're in the garage where Emily's Army does their rehearsal and stuff and tht, along with some other trademark graffiti is spray painted in their garage (yes EA stands for Emily's army for anyone who doesn't know) so I'm assuming they just took the pic on a couch in their. I don't think it has any other meaning lol

Yep, it's Garager all right. It seems like the Emily's Army guys have a neat hangout, so it's cool that they're putting it to some additional use.

How about we all leave the topic of people being creepy about the Armstrong kids alone, and actually concentrate on being excited about the prospect of The Boo releasing music.

Well this place can be soap operaesque at times

I would love it if we're all over-reacting and it turns to be like their christmas card or something.

I'm with Andres on this one- between this and the jammies pictures, I think its an Xmas family picture- but I will squee loud as anyone if its true! Girlpower for Adie!!!

All I can say is PLEASE DON'T DO A REALITY SHOW!!!! (then again it would be interesting) My theory on the name is that from my family's experience, the word "Boo" is an affectionate term. The nickname for my dog is "Boo Boo" and sometimes "Boo" even though that isn't her real name. My daughter's nickname for her boyfriend is "Boo" and her cat's nickname is "Boo Boo". I am wondering if that is Adrienne's nickname for Billie Joe and the boys? "Hey, Boo, will you bring me this?", etc. This is just a theory and I could be way, way off. I am just speaking from my own family experience where it is an affectionate term for family members. Again, I could be way off.

That is exactly what i thought! It just hit me as my daughter was going to bed and I said "Goodnight, Boo." just a few minutes ago

I don't get why people are speculating that it might not be real? In the picture you can clearly see theres a 7" vinyl in it with the name "The Boo" written across it so obviously the copies have already been made. GD.com has also posted about the tweets as well. Also I doubt they would go through the work of doing all that just for a christmas picture. Its gonna be a release soon.
