Ok, update for you guys. I've been in touch with Kat and she is in touch with Dawn. Kat is only able to access this by her phone at the moment, so she is going to post here tomorrow with some explanations for all of us. I think this could be a big step in the right direction to getting to a positive resolution with all of this.

I can't imagine what she can possibly say that can explain all of this besides, "I am a pathological liar," though. If she can read this forum, she can certainly post here instead of using poor Kat as her mouthpiece.

I liked that post, not taking pleasure in it but in agreement. I seriously hope both the talk of cancer and of suicide are not true.

Aside from all that, I think if some event was to happen next year I'd like it to be something along the lines of what Mallory was calling "flag day" a few pages back, whereby Green Day fans meet up and do whatever the fuck they want. I wholly support helping the environment, I've been active in that area for years now, but the amount of organization just seems to intricate for what GDC is about (or what I think it is about anyway). The group of friends I have come to know and love through the Marlay show often meet up, but I don't think that happens in many other places, which is a shame.

I like that idea. Just a Green Day fans unite/meet up day. I like it. Everyone could pick their own passion. And they may as well make it a "green day" while theyre at it.

From what i've seen, lots of fans meet up still. its happens often in alot of places, the US, UK and Australia that I know of.

Yes, I agree. I actually met both of them in Copenhagen about a year ago, during a meetup for the World Stage cinema thingy. They made it very clear that it was originally their idea, and as you said, their intentions were merely to get fans together doing Green Day stuff. And personally I really like that idea. However, what became of the idea after Dawn's involvement didn't appeal to me at all. I'm sad that their good intentions turned into this, and even if Dawn herself had good intentions she pretty much ran them over with a bulldozer.

Exactly. I don't care what anyone says, it doesn't matter if Dawn's idea was 'better' or more 'worldly' or whatever, she fucking stole it, and to me, stealing people's creative ideas is worse than shoplifting or any other sort of physical/punishable theft.

I'm also pretty certain it's against eBay's terms to ask people to pay outside of eBay for an auction they won through the site.

It is, indeed, 110% against eBay's terms of service to do so. I myself used to sell things on eBay, so I get eMail updates whenever they update their TOS. This, of course, explains her multiple GDATW eBay accounts.

I plugged that date into the database. No casualties listed that date - in Iraq or Afghanistan.

I don't believe she had cancer. Nobody ever knew what kind of cancer she had, or what stage. We just know she went from supposedly being dying to miraculously able to fly across the country to try to get into the Webster show. And last night, I got a pretty interesting phone call from a good friend of mine.

Dawn called her last night, in tears, claiming to be in a mental hospital for attempted suicide. She was going on and on about this thread. First of all- how she'd be able to make a phone call to someone, let alone view this thread if she was on suicide watch is beyond me.

And another thing- she told my friend she has one round of chemo left, and she's in remission... If she was as sick as she claimed to have been months ago, hell, even just last month for the Green Day show- she sure as shit wouldn't be in remission right now. It doesn't happen that fast. Also, pure speculation here- but how many cancer patients do you know? They lose weight. She clearly didn't lose any. It just looked like she chopped off her hair.

Oh, boo hoo. That bitch did the exact same thing with me when I continuously questioned her about her motives with GDATW --- Eventually she exploded and stated that she got hospitalised overnight due to an insanely high blood pressure reading of 260/118, or something equally impossible.

Then she got several of her older, middle aged supporters here on GDC all riled up and they began posting/PMing me things like, 'Karma will get you', and 'What goes around comes around,' and, 'You're nothing but a hurtful, bitter little girl, Mallory, you'll know it when something like this happens to you,' and even a direct threat of 'Watch your back!'

Yeah, I've been onto Dawn's bullshit since day one, and she never liked that. Turns out, though, that karma does exist, after all.

I loaned her $850 to go to the Costa Mesa show ($800 for the trip and $50 to eat). I did it because I honestly thought I was giving this fellow Green Day family member her last chance to see them. Well, since then, the shit's hit the fan, she's had yet another "last chance" trip and I didn't get reimbursed. I guess I was wrong.

Dawn told me via text that she gave him the ribbon part of the award. I'm really not sure what that refers to, because I've never seen one.

But back in 2005/2006 I was on myspace at the time. And I came up with this idea that on May 28th, all GD fans would have a "Green Day Marathon" where you would celebrate Green Day by mostly just listening to all the albums in a row, or watching GD dvds, etc etc

I managed to get like 50 people to do it but I thought it was such a coincidence that several years later, this event happens.

And I know there is a significance to May 28th, but I don't remember what it is. I wouldn't have just chosen the day for the hell of it.

I think she stole the idea because she knew it was a great idea and thought of it to be something to get her noticed by the band. She brought a gazillion things to NYC to get signed by Billie to "sell" or whatever she did with it on GDATW- which I knew Mallory came up with, and I think another girl was involved? but I forget...

Also, in NY I tried so hard so many times to help her and she was NEVER happy. That party she threw, the someone else had to pay for, I told Adrienne about before she even made the invitations and she said she would try to be there- hoping that would make her happy, but it wasn't enough. Some people just can't be pleased at all. A lot of us pushed her around NYC, stayed with her, tried to help her any way we could but it wasn't happening.

I actually tried to help her as much as to one night she said she was killing herself and Tony and I were chatting and we decided that I should call a hospital to go to her house to see if she was okay, and then she flipped out on me saying to never do that again.

IDK there was so much crap going on with her that I just started giving up.

Then I was informed on what was going on with her recently. I also think it's kind of crazy to fly the day of a show without a ticket to a place that isn't wheelchair capable [the NYC show]....

From what I heard that's what she said. Zoe deleted her account last year but told me that I could post anything she'd given me. Here's what she said (she was standing outside to get in and saw Dawn):

yes its absolutely true. Zoe was texting me while she was trying to get in herself, telling me dawn was screaming at the doorman (who was actually trying to help her) and at Frank/Eddie and someone else for over an hour saying she was a friend of theirs and they know her and would want her in if they knew she was there.l I didn't read her tweets because I don't follow her but I heard they were demanding and desperate and constant to Billie and Aide to let her in because she was there.

On her facebook she had a photo album with a bunch of pics from the Tampa 1991 show that she claimed to have attended. She said she found those pics in the bottom of a box in her garage, this was all she had left as the rest were badly damaged. The photos were absolutely withoutadoubt all screen caps from youtube videos from that concert. AND on top of that she was on GDC before she posted that album asking how to make screen caps.

The other thing is on her post that she deleted the day of the show, she claimed she had been in the hospital battling her cancer and was on a ventilator the day before the show. She asked the Dr. to let her off so she could go to NYC for this show and the happiness from it would help her get thru these next few months of treatment and surgeries. If someone is actually on a ventilator you can't just ask to be taken off and no doctor is going to agree to do that and then let their patient get on a germ infested airplane.

In regards to a lot of the signed items, I don't think all of it was real. I had someone direct me towards a few pieces that are no longer up for auction that are blatantly counterfeit signatures. It looks as though the same person signed all 3 names. Especially Mike's signature. It looks like whoever signed it was trying to mimic his current signatures with the x's. Yet it's apparently signed by Al Sobrante? I don't think so.

For picture 1, Mike's signature was different back then, and now he has 3 x's on his sig, and the dimensions are messed up, there is no depth or perspective on any of the signatures, the signatures look exactly painted on there and too evenly filled in, and I saw that same picture of the picture disk vinyl without the sigs on tumblr

For picture 2, one of my friends used to meet green day back then (before tre) and he got their signatures, and john didnt sign al sobrante, he signed john kiffmeyer

So Dawn has been in this thread at some point? Interesting. I hope she at least posts something. I'd like to know what has been lied about and what was true (because again, it wasn't all bad intentions, she did give away shirts and tickets to the Dallas show). Don't know whether I'd believe it, but still.

I most of all want to know whether all the messed up things like the items double- or fake-listed for auction were intentionally fake or whether she didn't do that with the purpose of ripping people off.

Wow...this thread was a LOT to digest but I will do my best to explain what I know and address everything best I can. This email may be choppy as there is a lot to say.

First off, I want to explain that I am Switzerland! I am neutral in everything that has happened and will remain that way. Of course I have my own opinions, but I do not judge people. I genuinely care about people, hence why I became friends with Dawn and involved in GDATW. Like everyone else, I believed in its purpose and mission, for support of fellow fans, and as a way of thanking Green Day. I have remained in contact with her wanting to keep its mission and good intentions alive and will still do what I can to hopefully salvage it.

Dawn is not the type of person to ever ask for help and that is why GDATW had so little involvement from other people. Believe what you want, but this was her baby and she had a vision and wanted it done a certain way. It was her way of thanking the band the best way she saw fit, basing it off of someone elses idea or not. She stubbornly did what she could BY HERSELF which was way too much for one person to handle. I offered help as I know several others did but she would never take it. So GDATW happened with huge success.

She offered to auction off and give away prizes which were items from her personal collection that she accumulated over years and years. Some recently in NY, but others she got off of ebay or from private sellers. Personally I believe some autographs are not originals, but I don't think she intentionally bought them knowing that. I believe she does have multiple copies of items and used the same picture to represent the different auctions. But again Im not sure.

I have been trying to get these prizes for a month or more but due to her health I have not seen them. When I DO get them, I will ship them out. I asked via fb for people to send me their mailing addresses as Im not on gdc much.

As for her health, Dawn DOES have cancer. No I have not seen the xrays, but I have seen pictures of her after chemo where she lost almost all of her hair except some stragglers. I saw the pictures as it started to grow in. I was in the room when she put on her wigs. I have seen the battle scars, medications, etc. She had surgery last week to remove tumors from her liver which have been discovered as non-tumorous. No, she is not in either hospital someone was looking for her at. Not all people have drastic weight loss after chemo depending on what hormones or drugs you are also on at the time. I dont know any of what she is taking, but know chemo is different for everyone.

Dawn has accepted responsibility for the airline thing and only she and her traveling companion know what truly happened. People should just leave it at that. I know the incident does not show her in a favorable light, but she did what she did for her reasons and her reasons only.

When one receives a purple heart, they are given the medal and a purple ribbon as well as a certificate or letter. Something like that. Billie was given the ribbon as yes, that part is replaceable. The medal portion is not. I could be wrong, but I think in the purple heart database, the recipient needs to request to be added. People arent automatically added to it, but I could be wrong.

She was injured overseas, but what put her in a wheelchair was due to botched surgery from that injury. Yes she was a dental tech, but dont most people in service also have some sort of other duty or job they can perform when not performing military activities? Sort of like those that clean latrines or cook, couldnt she possibly have been a dental tech there and then done that full time while in Texas?

Where it is now... Dawn is in a hospital recovering from surgery which was lapraoscopic and not major incisicions. When she heals enough to go home, she will. She is not on facebook or twitter and changed phones due to nasty comments she personally received, as well as reading things that others who did not know her speculated about and said. Her family cut her off from internet connections while she heals so she can focus on that instead of all of this. She does have a phone now but only a few people know her number. I told Tony I would explain best I could what I know but it's hard to not give personal opinion about all of it.

GDATW will move forward whether with a different name, new date, whatever. As long as Dawn is well enough, I will fly down there to see her, get any items that not have been mailed, help with the non-profit status, etc. But she has to be WELL enough to do that. Yes she started forming the non-profit status with a lawyer who led her astray, but now there is a new company that that's all they deal with is setting up new non profits.

Money was donated to the Red Cross and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (at the Costa Mesa Show). I dont think money has gone to the NRDC yet. There is money locked in a couple accounts because she used ebay and amazon claiming non profit and charity, but when not providing the certificate, the funds were locked. The reason for wanting this status was to not pay the huge ebay and paypal fees which would give more to charity. Ebay had caps for personal accounts on how much you could sell a month so that's why the names changed.

As for now, and I will post on fb later after Thanksgiving perhaps, but please cancel all of your items via amazon if you can. She asked me to relay that message. I dont know how old the paypal auctions are, but for now maybe do that too if you can. more....

So cancel what you can. WHEN she is well enough, I will most likely fly down to gather the items as I dont think I can make much sense of it if it all drops on my doorstep. I will do my best to get people the items they were promised. **I** cannot promise anything except that I will be as open and honest as I can. Feel free to ask questions but dont know how much I will be on the next couple of days. But I WILL answer.

I know so many people have doubts about Dawn... but no she does not know about this thread. It was other ones she was speaking about.

So I guess my own personal question is... should GDATW go on if someone new takes over???
