How would they know this early on? They've just made it up like they do every single year. It might make more sense/be more likely next year than it has been other years since we know they're work

don't blame you, Paris is amazing! but for GD concerts there is surely gonna be more venues in the UK than la France.

despite not even going to Reading and Leeds i really hope GD are playing. not long now til we find out...

I'm afraid it seems highly unlikely now they will do R/L :( EFestivals who have a good record of knowing are confident the headliners are Kasabian, Foo Fighters and The Cure. Unless there is a huge U turn we will just have to look forward to an autumn arena tour! So it's not all bad news.

yeah i've heard it's unlikely they will play but you never know. the rumours of a UK tour sound great to me so i hope they are true.

Foo Fighters will be a great headliner anyway...

not exactly a rumour, that is the official page of Vivo concerti, they organize concerts and festivals...there's a festival in September called Indipendent day festival in Bologna

That link doesn't longer direct to the page where it said "the return of Green Day to Italy" or something similar, it's just the main page and there's nothing about Green Day there any more... :mellow:

I noticed that too...maybe it was too early for the announcement? :blink: I don't know, that is the official page, so I don't think it's fake news

Anyway that page said something about a Green Day concert, more info coming soon. I saved a picture:

I think they'll announce the headliners of the festival next week, maybe on Tuesday (if GD are playing Rock en Seine they'll announce it on Tuesday, so maybe it will be a european tour announcement)

I'm so excited about this! Last night I dreamt that it was Tuesday already, and I went to buy tickets for Rock en Seine :P

Are those concerts in Italy ("Vivo") always in Bologna?

Yes, and usually during the first week of September..it will probably be the first weekend, so 1st and 2nd September

My prediction? Green Day will not play R/L, due to Foo Fighters, The Cure & Kasabian being headliners. However, in the coming weeks Green Day will announce a tour of Europe, taking in, at the very least, Italy, Germany, France & the UK. This tour will take place in August/September/October and be timed with Rock En Seine & Independent Day Fest before Green Day return to the states for a winter tour.

I saw that some days ago too and suddenly got all excited! I really hope it's true. I mean, it's the official Vivo's page, I can't see why they'd post a fake news. I'm trying to keep my expectations low but it's hard to not freak out a little. Uhm let's wait and see.

It would be amazing if they played some festivals in Europe before starting the US winter tour, indeed.

Can't wait for these rumors to be confirmed. So, all the lineups should be out by tomorrow sometime, right? Can't deal with the wait :runaround:
