I like the way Tre_Gina originally wrote it, only without the speech marks please. But yes, 'GDC' and '19/6/10' :)

ok I'm getting a bit confused now! I think the majority are going for....

Green Day 19/6/10

Rage and Love

Thanks from GDC

or the other way round??

Green Day 19/6/10

Thanks from GDC

Rage and Love

I think the first one is what we agreed on, but now that you bring it up I do think that the second option looks better.

But I don't know; which one makes more sense?

It seems most people prefer without the speech marks and just 'GDC' so probably best to go with that.

I thought the speech marks work, because it is actually a Green Day quote, but it's no biggy really.

Grammar Nazi. :P

It's more aesthetic without and I prefer the top one. :D

I see your point, but I'm thinking of it more as the way the band sometimes uses it at the end of tweets or messages to us? So it depends whether that's what we're going for or if it's supposed to be a quote I guess. And if it's the first option, I guess it would make more sense to have it as the last line - or what do you guys think? But then again, if you read it aloud in that order, it just sounds kind of weird... ahh this is hard!

Not to drag this out any further, but instead of just "Thanks from GDC" maybe we could have "GDC at Wembley"

Just a suggestion, plus it rhymes!

I prefer it like this:

Green Day 19/6/10

Thanks from GDC

Rage and Love

I like that, since it represents all of us who actually were there a little more.

I think have Rage and Love as the last line. As Ingrid said the band sometimes use it at the end of tweets/messages so it kind of makes sense to have it at the end.

So if I've got this straight, we're trying to decide between these four options?

1)

Green Day 19/6/10

Rage and Love

Thanks from GDC

2)

Green Day 19/6/10

Thanks from GDC

Rage and Love

3)

Green Day 19/6/10

GDC at Wembley

Rage and Love

4)

Green Day 19/6/10

Rage and Love

GDC at Wembley

As far as I'm aware.

Defo the 1st one.

I think I prefer 'GDC at Wembley', because it clarifies that it's from those of us who were there, but at the same time tells that a lot of us WERE in fact there - but more importantly I think having both 'thanks from GDC' and 'rage and love' gets a bit redundant (hah) because I see them both as words of regards in a way, again with how the band uses the latter at the end of tweets/messages. So having both sounds a bit weird. Sorry for over-thinking this and adding to the confusion, dunno if I'm making any sense at all! :P

As for the placement, I think both 3) and 4) could work; I'd say 3) is the more aesthetic choice while 4) makes more sense?

I guess I'll say 3) just so we have one vote for each, hah..!

Edit: no actually 3) makes the most sense as well, looking at it the way Aska suggested. Vote 3) people!!!!

I prefer option 2, having Rage & Love last as it is often used as a sign-off phrase. I definitely like having thanks/thank you in there.

However, I don't think we should let this drag on too long and raise the possibility that it won't happen. Ultimately, I am fine with whatever gets the message across.

Ok, i've updated the poll with the 4 options Ingrid pointed out. Next round of votes!

I'm going for (3)!
