Did we do something similar for Warning when that anniversary came up? Was I totally zoned out and not paying attention? I would have written pages about that album, I love it so much.

Why wait for an anniversary? I'd love to hear about how much you love Warning. Thread it up!! :)

Don't really have time for a long post, but I'll just say this:

It's fuckin' awesome. The diversity- truly amazing and it starts to show the range GD can play.

I was about 11/12 and I was a big Offspring fan and people had been telling me for a while that if I liked The Offspring then I'd like a band called Green Day. So I went down to my local library (of all places?) and looked in their cd section and they had 3 Green Day albums (I think it was Dookie, Insomniac and Nimrod) and I'm not exactly sure why but I picked Nimrod. I took it home and put it on, Nice guys finished last began to play and I was thinking 'ooh I like this already' then when I heard Billie Joe's voice for the first time and the way his voice comes in on that tune, I thought to myself (semi-jokingly) 'wow this is my new favourite band!'

I'm now 23 and they're still my favourite band and Nimrod is still my favourite album and I've seen them about 7 or 8 times and flown to New York to see the AI musical and it ALL started with that one listen of Nimrod.

Also, I had no idea the anniversary was coming up and I bought the album again a couple of days ago as I lost the CD a while ago and thought it would be nice to have a brand new cd of it again. A very minor, but kinda cool coincidence.

The first Green Day song I remember hearing was Good Riddance. My dad used to make picture videos of my family and burn it to DVD and I remember being...6 maybe and dancing around to that song because it was the back track of one DVD he made. I never knew what it was until I got into Green Day and on the radio there was a "Green Day block" and that mysterious song from my childhood turned on. Who knew that it would turn out to be from my new found favorite band? Then after that I got into Nimrod and it's one of my favorite of all the Green Day albums.

Alright, I'm a bit late. But this album is one of my favorites. Also my friend was born the exact day this was released. I love every song on this album. Truly amazing
