I thought he did really well. It was a difficult part to play and I highly doubt you could have done better. Chill. I think Billie did a fine job in Haunted, I was just saying it was a strange part and very brief. "Itching" is a common phrase that simply means he "wants" to do it, as he has said in interviews. For TV, he has either AFTRA or SAG membership. Depending if he did get SAG membership, that would be fine for the American Idiot movie. You have to do so much union contract work before being able to get membership with a union. However, I'm not sure of any of Green Day televised performances count as part of that. I remember a couple of the Idiot cast having a hard time with AFTRA for their Grammy performance... Either way, Billie has some sort-of union contract for Nurse Jackie which allows him to do the show. And the character descriptions can always change before filming, especially with sides used for casting. If none of this makes sense, then I blame the lack of sleep.... Zzzzzzzzzzzz...... I really truly am excited to see how Billie does - despite what everyone says, he is getting to be a better actor (just look at his Chris Isaak Show performance ), and his stint on Broadway must have made him more learned in the way of the thespian. Oh god...I'd rather not He was playing himself, and he was *still* awkward to watch I'd prefer to stick with Irv Kratzen That being said, he was awesome in Live Freaky! Die Freaky! and American Idiot, so I definitely agree that he seems to have...blossomed in the past few years. I had a dream last night that combined Green Day and House, i guess it's not that far off. (which would have been a good combination back when House was still good. Now, between their running out of ideas and my increasing medical knowledge, i just yell and throw shit at my TV the entire time... They're so farfetched!) Also- they can TOTALLY make him look 45. The 'tattoo' on his hand in the photo tells us it's this one: Tracking down some details for this, I found the casting call for the first two eps of the new season of the show, which includes this character: "[JOHN] (Male, 45) He is a badass, has a tattoo that says No Regrets and is a drug user who meets Jackie one night. He is chasing after that ultimate high. Has kids and a wife who don't talk to him anymore. GUEST STAR-NAMES ONLY." This fits with the info of him playing an oxycontin addict. Badass? Tatoo?
