Larry Livermore
I wonder if they're still friends with Kain Kong... Haven't heard from Kain in a while, but I got an email from his brother today!
alaniluau
The Thing That Ate Larry Livermore? Badass title of the year right there. Oh good, because that and 21st Century Breakdown are my favorites, and the music is so different you can really see how they evolved. I haven't heard Kerplunk yet, but from what I've heard from other people, it's mostly like 1039 in style and the type of songs, so I'm sure I'm going to love it too. It would have sucked if the re-mastered stuff was noticeably different. Kerplunk is, in its own way, the perfect album. The songs are incredibly diverse and the guys' energy on that record can't be topped. Well they do have This Kid and the rest of the tracks from Broadcast This and Regan Macneil, heck, with the stuff they've already recorded once they could put out another album and a couple of EPs, and I imagine they've also already written brand new material on top of that, they have pleeeeeenty of songs to choose from. Heck, I bet they have rerecorded a few of those songs already for an EP or SOMETHING eventually, maybe even a single, heck, just rerecord the Broadcast This EP AS the single for that song Max said they probably weren't going to salvage any other This Kid songs, which is kind of a bummer. I'd be elated with a DBAD-like take of F Word.

Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love
I hope he also does it in CD, I want to have it/listen to it, but I don't have a record player so buying vinyl would be nonsensical, and I don't like buying digital music at all. Katarina.
This tweet from Larry made me laugh Someone @GDA thinks The Thing That Ate Larry Livermore is like "a mix CD for a drive to your grandparents' house." Should I go cry now? Anyway, that little story was a great read. I'm actually pretty excited to hear this new compilation record! It's been a long time since I listened to 'The thing that ate Floyd' btw, I don't even have the songs anymore except for Outside (Lookouts) and the one by Operation Ivy. porksoda
I was kind of hoping that Billie had asked Larry to put out the next Green Day record. I always wonder why Green Day haven't moved away from WB Records and put out a CD on an indie label. Still, Adeline has put out some great news lately. First, One Man Army is reunited and recording a full-length for them, and now this. Now all we need is to hear they're putting out the next AFI record and it's going to be more punk rock

Also, in my pretty fantasy I see this headline: "Green Day frontman to produce upcoming AFI release".

Probably a mix between not needing to fix a good thing and the fact that an indie label doesn't have the mass distribution power/facilities needed for such a massive band. I didn't mean tiny and unknown, but along the lines of Adeline or Fat Wreck or something. Plus, a lot of distribution these days is digital distribution.
