Brigister
Just realized how much Italian websited posted this story ( and trust me, that's a big event, Italian media usually don't pay a lot of attention to Green Day related news ) http://america24.com...ta-troppo-bassa http://www.rockol.it...Per-i-pantaloni http://www.ecodiberg...to_da_un_aereo/ http://tg.la7.it/cro/news-29289 Even "L'Eco di Bergamo" .-. I mean, who would've thought that a local newspaper from BERGAMO would've posted that news On italian tv they make him sound like a rich rockstar who thinks he's too important to follow the rules Yup, sad but true, stupid Italy T.T i hate so much being italian, lol
mitzymoo
I got a text from my friend earlier telling me that it was in the newspaper about Billie's saggy pants. I made him cut it out and save it for me. It was only about 6 lines but there was a picture of Billie. I was suprised to see it make the papers/news here
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love
It took me a while, but I finally found some Dutch articles about this. Most of them use this picture, which is just a very unfortunate one because he's reaching up with his guitar so it looks like his pants are super low Which then causes most of the comments to be all "pull up your pants" and with generally a negative sentiment. Oh well. and they're complaining that he gets a better treatment because he's a celebrity. Wtf, he got kicked off the plane, that's not a better treatment I do like this article, though They make the situation sound like the airline was being a dick and Billie wasn't really doing anything wrong And this one is weird and funny because it's kind of stupid. / woo barely anyone on here speaks Dutch and cares! Ellenkc
First off, Ganis, I hate you for posting Pants on the Ground before I got home and was able to do so. Second, I spend a lot of my life on airplanes (as some of you know), and I can tell you from experience that some of the shit people wear on planes (even in first class) is downright disgusting. A little part of me feels redeemed when a flight attendant tells the 275 lb. woman wearing a freaking tube top to either put on a jacket, cover herself with a blanket or GTFO. Saggy pants seems extreme; so long as the asscrack isn't exposed (because God knows I've seen plenty of women--most of whom have no business doing this--exposing the small of their back with a tight little shirt and minishorts). That said, people's reactions when the flight attendant tells them to pull their shirt down/pants up/cover themselves varies dramatically. Usually it's just a quick "ok" and the action is done. There's frequently a smart-ass remark as the F/A walks away. Sometimes they cop an attitude. One guy went bat-shit on a flight attendant when I was flying Atlanta to somewhere or another and got himself hauled off the plane by three police officers. His words, as best I can remember them: "Bitch, you don't be tellin' my girl how to dress!" And so on and so forth. Lots of shouting, he flailed around when the cops grabbed him, and we all applauded when he was dragged off the plane. A guy sitting in the aisle in front of me spit on him as he was dragged past, which prompted an ice cold stare from a cop, but no other ill effects. Bottom line, flight attendants do not play around when they give you instructions and you ignore them. In their mind, if you mouth off profanely about something as simple as covering your ass, how are you likely to react if you purchase a few drinks (and no, they cannot refuse to sell alcohol to someone who does not already appear drunk) and are then asked to do something much more critical, like not be the asshole who always decides they have to get up and piss thirty seconds before landing, occasionally prompting a go-around? On a slightly related note, I hate air travel. I'm resisting going into your body-policing too much, but jesus christ it is not up to you or anyone else to decide what others wear. Who gives a fuck if you don't like the look of an overweight woman in a tube top? She can wear whatever she damn well wants and any flight attendant who tries to tell her otherwise has crossed a line. And seriously, you think some women have no business showing the small of their back? Do you realize at all how stupid that is? It's not going to hurt you or anyone else. miragots
link please Also am I the only who thinks that it;s somewhat funny because it's southwest, one of the cheapest airlines ever http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/44379960/ns/today-entertainment/t/green-day-singer-sagging-pants-cost-me-my-plane-seat/ I couldn't find a video, but at least it's on their site. And no, you're not the only one to think it's funny that Billie chose southwest... One of the first things that came to my mind when I read about it was "wtf is he doing on southwest?! Shouldn't he have a fricken private jet or something?" but to know he just wants to be like any other person is a nice thought. Another reason why Billie is the best
letterbomb_19
I read these article in the newspaper today. it´s quite impressive how fast and in how many countrys this story is posted I couldn´t find them on the websites... and sorry! I do´t know why they are that big. I tried to make them smaller, but something´s wrong
Rosie May
I saw this in the newspaper today. Well, at least they'll know how to promote an album next time, just get Billie to wear saggy pants all the time, get the press to notice them that way
Laurina
I have to say.... I have laughed about all of the Press this situation has garnished, and then I have grown abraded by Press and individuals who imply he was fitting in to some crappy fashion ala Kriss Kross (or if you are too young to know who that is, ala Kayne West) when really... he just has no ass lol I mean really, if your body lacks the curves to fit how clothing is cut, even a belt is not going to keep them up! lol This wasn't some fashion freak out on his part for heaven sakes. The Press are really a bunch of dickwads.

fiercecircus
well, any publicity is good publicity, right? Next time he flies southwest he should just dress like this: and also, i posted "Pants on the Ground" on the twitter thread. Heather.
I kinda was expecting/wish he would tweet a 'what the fuck? my asscrack is on fox news?' ... ah well. Good for him though, he literally has more than 10,000 new twitter followers since this thing started, and that number goes up at least 20 every half hour (I've been bored and hitting refresh... it's entertaining if not a bit loserish, but better than studying). -Billiejoezee-
I'm starting to get annoyed on how much attention this is getting and how they make it sound as if billie was showing his whole ass. Maybe he showed a bit maybe he didn't, but still. I'm not liking many of the comments people who don't know shit about him are saying. Maybe i'm just a bit defensive over billie. Stuart&Ave
Just heard it on Energie (radio station in Quebec) and they seemed to be on Billie Joe's side. They also mentionned that they played 15 new songs at the Tiki Bar show, saying a new album was coming soon (which is not really, as far as we know).
