Karl Karlson
^^^ wtf? XD Anyways, all three bands have NO tour plans for 2014, so it wouldn't be unlikely to happen. Lars Ulrich (drummer of Metallica) will reveal something big in December, maybe not just something for Metallica fans? I hope it's all just a coincidence and they all go separate ways
stich
Green Day should get a 2014 touring plan (South America, US; Asia); - they miss a lot of country - they rtelease three albums - & they also done 2 legs in Europe & US

By that logic they'll probably be joined by the Spice Girls, MC Hammer and the remaining Blockheads

Todd
Maybe they'd do a fest together for a week or something. That'd be bearable. But a full tour, I fucking hate U2
Certified Nimrod
If this happened it would be best if they all played a full set each covering one of the other bands sets, Green Day play a Metallica set, Metallica Play a U2 set and U2 play a Green Day set, that way no one would be happy. Fair is fair afterall what even
DanPak
I hope this doesn't happen. I love Green Day and I don't have anything against metallica, but I hate U2 with a burning passion. Bono is a straight up fud, nuff said.
Spike
Can you imagine the average U2 fan at a Metallica gig? Now can everyone who wants this see why it's such a stupid idea? No? Ok. Imagine the average Metallica fan at a U2 gig. HOW WOULD THAT NOT BREAK THE UNIVERSE?
Connor Finlayson
Nope, he pretty much nailed it mate. Like U2's music all you want, there's no escaping the fact that all of them are tax dodging dicks. Instead of going around posturing about saving the world, they could pay their fair share towards keeping their native country afloat. How is that an uneducated statement? Do you have any idea what Bono has done? Even if the tax thing is true. Bono has done so much for africa and the fight against aids. I think that makes up for it. Bono, saving africa? What a dick! Call me cynical but if it didn't boost his profile so much and generally lead to record sales he probably wouldn't have done half as much. If he really wanted to do it for its own sake he wouldn't have such a god complex about it. And he's still a tax dodger, which is legally and morally wrong. They had 2 #1 albums before he started his work in Africa, so that proves that it didnt help him. I dont think someone would listen to U2 just because of what Bonos done. I think the tax thing has been stretched out of proportion.

Well, it's just a fact that every performer at LiveAid and Live8 had massive, massive increases in sales after the event. Sure it didn't have anything to do with the two number ones that happened beforehand, but their success afterwards was clearly helped by the publicity it generated. I'm not even saying that's a bad thing, if you're earning a living from music you do what you can to make more money. Just saying it's kind of cynical and not really in great taste. Good on him for raising awareness of African issues, I'm all for that, but it doesn't make him a saint, there's no one person who could make a big enough difference. And Live Aid never worked as intended.

That would run our upper house of government for 6 months. It really hasn't been blown out of proportion. They got both of those no. 1 albums by jumping on the plastic Paddyism bandwagon. Before that they were just another shitty Irish pub band.

Exactly If Bono was truly a person who really cares he would do stuff WITHOUT calling the press everytime He'd pay his taxes cause that's just what an adult does... who cares what he does charities he still has to pay taxes Ted Bundy donated for charities does that make him less guilty of being a serial killer? Guest
i love how i knew Ceadagh would be at the heart of an argument involving U2. me & him agree on one thing, Bono is an utter twunt & U2 make godawful music and like FUCK am i going to support any idea that involve them, even if it means not supporting Green Day. I'm a collector and i refuse to buy any of the U2 related singles/vinyls, even if it means there is a small hole in my Green Day collection. i seriously fuckin hate them. Not that that's REMOTELY what Ceadog was getting at, but that's quite a reasonable possibility and doesn't actually sound stupid at all. Every band needs a launch pad, however good they are before they 'make it'.
