okay, i never bought BIAB. i was going to, but my friend lent it to me.

i was really exited to watch the concert and all. but .... it bored me =/

at the beginning of minority i just stopped the DVD and never watched it again.

i know, i'm the worst green day fan ever.

i really enjoy the individual songs on youtube from BIAB and AAF but watching the entire concert bores me because i found that it really didn't capture the live experience. I havn't watched all of AAF either because of this.

so i'm just going to judge based on the CD.

AAF wins hands down. that CD not only has an amazing and long tracklist but it sounds so damn good. BIAB sounds good too but i don't care for the tracklist too much.

the aaf tracklist is really really good. except for the fact that there's no whatsername

but yea, aaf all the way :)

I don't know if anyone has said this yet, but I think the two are made to be looked at in different ways.

AAF is more a live CD with a bonus DVD, BIAB is the other way around. Its a DVD, with a bonus live CD.

If that makes sense to anyone else but me? haha

The CD is the exciting thing about AAF because it has all those amazing rare songs and its from shows from all around the world, its a pretty incredible thing. And then the DVD just accompanies it. I freaking love the DVD too, but it's still not the same as BIAB which was made to capture the EVENT that was Milton Keynes. Not to mention it has all the interviews and extras.

The point is. I can't split the two because I look at them in different ways :)

I share this opinion 100%

and I'm too lazy to put that in a post in my own words

I have to go with BIAB. I love the random backstage and interview snippets and I like the editing a lot better than on AAF, which, honestly, after a while just makes my eyes hurt. I'm fine with the setlists on both of them, both cd and dvd. My main point in favor of BIAB is that it sounds rawer, it just sounds more like Green Day.

I know there's been a lot of discussion going on about audio-tuning being used on AAF, and yeah, I don't know what they did or what was used but it definitely sounds way too polished, too perfect. And not in a good way; Billie's voice seems so altered at times that he doesn't even sound like himself. I personally couldn't care less if he always sings right on pitch or if he misses some notes, I just wanna hear HIM, not some "improved" version of him. The other day I listened to the Manchester footage that was on Absolute Radio. Afterwards I listened to the AAF cd and I found that Manchester sounds so much better, much more natural, just much more like them.

To sum it all up, I'm just very much a "singer" person. If the singer doesn't make the cut, the whole thing won't do it for me, And AAF doesn't sound like the Green Day singer that I know. Anyways, if you listen to the Manchester material, it's so obvious that Billie needs no audio-tuning or whatever kind of device to make him sound good.

I perfer AAF. Bullet In A Bible would be better if it didn't have concert, backstage, concert, backstage. I also like how the DVD is different from the CD

i agree, interviews should have been seperate

I prefer BIAB. Although I've only seen AAF once so maybe my opinion will change when I've watched it a few more times.

BIAB is so much better, in my opinion.

AAF is nice, but I think the DVD is pretty fucked up, to be honest.

BIAB is so much more emotional for me. The video is produced better ("better" in this case meaning more of a thematic experience, rather than AAF's realism). When I listen to BIAB in the car, I literally cry. It's amazing.

Can you add a both button thingy. I mean I still haven't seen AAF, but, I heard it fucking rules. And if I do see it, I think I'd like just the same as BIAB. Cause I'm not very good with making up my mind. lulz

It's hard cuz I love the interviews/behind the scenes footage in BIAB, but as a concert i think AAF was a bit better. more old songs i guess, and the atmosphere just seemed a bit different. Also, the AAF cd i like a bit more but i still love biab. I guess it's cuz AAF is newer thats why i perfer it a bit

I love them both for sure. I feel both are definitely very different from each other. One is an actual FLIM about Green Day. Whereas the other is a live album with a bonus cd.

 Ah typos  I agree though, BIAB is a whole concert movie wheras AAF is just a concert. I'd definetly prefer to watch BIAB than AAF, but I think the AAF CD is alot better, I listen to it far more than I ever listed to BIAB.

I've sort of been thinking about this lately...I may have to go with BIAB. It has interviews with the guys and fans, as well as random backstage clips. So that right there makes it even better than just a regular concert DVD.

And it could be the fact that AI is my favorite album and I feel more of a connection to it. It's just that when watching AAF, it was just watching Green Day perform. Yeah, it had a badass setlist and their live show has greatly improved since the AI tour. But with BIAB, it feels like more of a concert, like I'm actually there. And don't get me wrong, AAF was...well, awesome as fuck (yes, I said it, go ahead and shoot me :P). But BIAB is simply amazing. It's going to be tough for the guys to top it with their next live album.

I dunno. All of this sounded better in my head... I'm horrible at putting my thoughts into words most of the time.

I won't vote yet because I haven't watched the DVD yet, but I like AAF's CD better.

mmmm....both=) But Awesome As Fuck IS awesome as fuck!!!

aaaaand, i was kinda hoping that it would be interviews and stuff in AAF, but oh well. I also think the audience in BIAB was awsome. But, it doesn't matter. I got the same reaction anyway when i saw AAF, as when i saw BIAB for the first time :dance:

BIAB for sure since it seemed to be a little more personal with the fans, probably because of the interviews, though. I also think BIAB was a more memorable show. I just bought AAF / watched it, and yes, the sound quality sis really good, and I like the videography of the show. It's also cool how the band played older, non-hit songs for the new DVD, but (don't kill me for saying this), it's not one of their best shows.

I think the same of many others, the aaf cd is better, but the bullet dvd is the best... with this major tour 09-10 they could do a dvd a way better... biab shows more emotion green day-public...

Awesome as Fuck, definitely. Pretty much just for the amazing setlist on both the CD and DVD. Though Bullet In A Bible is amazing, and I kind of feel a soft place in my heart for Sam Bayer's craziness.

I love the track list for AAF, because i think there is a lot of old stuff on there too, but the BIAB DVD is awesome, considering you get to have those short interviews between the songs, that are very interesting and fun to watch.

so yea, Bullet in a bible

Both are definitely amazing to watch

I really can't say that I prefer AAF or BIAB, cuz I feel that each one is good for different reasons
