sarah?
i agree with the whole aaf cd being better than biab, but in terms of the dvds its hard to say. i prefer the performance green day gave in awesome as fuck, just because theyre evidently a lot better live in front of bigger crowds on the 21st century breakdown tour. but the shooting style and editing of it didn't do them justice. biab on the other hand is still a really good performance amazingly directed, shot and edited. so its a much better viewing experience. Blond-O-Sonic Shimmer Trap
Awesome As Fuck, by miles and miles and miles. Bullet In A Bible is not that great, the CD in particular is really lacking and plays like an MTV edited version of a Green Day gig. The tracklist for BIAB is so Warner-ised it is an embarassment. AAF by comparison is unbelievable, as many people have said it's like Green Day's gift to the fans, and the middle section is absolutely perfect. The first 4 songs are great, 21st Century Breakdown in particular sounds huge, and even at the end 21 Guns and American Idiot, two songs I would never describe as being among my Green Day favourites, the two performances they selected for those songs are outstanding. I love the electric version of Good Riddance on BIAB but that is really the only thing I can say for it in comparison with AAF. The only downfall of AAF was to have the bonus tracks as bonus tracks and not have regular spots on the album.
Anja
I like the AAF CD better, but the BIAB DVD is better than AAF. This. I like that they didnt use the same concert for the CD but audios from different shows. Overall, I prefer Bullet in a bible though. A) because it got me into Green Day and B) because of the backstage material Also, I like the energy of the crowd better on BIAB.
ConfirmPassword
BIAB, because I love the interviews between the songs. And probably because of the chock I got when I first saw it. I havent had been a Green Day fan for more than two months when I saw it, and it just blew my mind! Because everything was new for me and I kept getting suprised. I still get the feeling everytime I see it. Idk in AAF there just isnt that kind of suprises. BIAB opened my mind to JOS too And sometimes I cry when I watch BIAB AAF is great though. It is really awesome as fuck!!!
Anja
that stupid knocking on a tank thing, I knocked on that "stupid tank thing" when I was in England 2 months ago...it never annoyed me on the DVD but if it did, it wouldn't do so any longer now that I've done it myself BIAB, because I love the interviews between the songs. With AAF it isn't but that doesnt make it any worse of course. Love both but BIAB will forever have a special place in my heart. And I never get tired of it, still now, 5 1/2 years later. DecanoLP
Bullet In A Bible is amazing, but does the tracklist (CD + DVD) contain Burnout? Or Who Wrote Holden Caulfield? Or Welcome To Paradise? Or My Generation? No, so you have my answer

insomniactwin
As of now i feel slightly let down by AAF. Don't get me wrong, its fucking good, but i feel that it follows the same path that 21st century breakdown took coming after AI. As you all know by now, AI is rad as hell, it was a huge mile-stone in the bands careers, and although BIAB isn't nearly as important, it still rocked! 21st century breakdown had huge shoes to fill, which the band obviously knew. I believe that because they tried to out-do such a great album, they ended up over-producing 21st Century Breakdown. In other words, there is too much "fluff". AAF was over-produced (in my opinion) as well. The band tried to out-do BIAB and ended up adding to many effects, whether it be adding pink tint to the the entire stage, or using slow motion effects during jumps or other movements. I was also disappointed that they cut the backstage footage. That was one of my favorite parts of BIAB. In addition, when watching BIAB you could feel the magnitude of just how big of a show it really was, but in AAF they don't do a great job of showing this, which really causes a lack of emotional connection of the one watching, to the intimacy of the show. On the bright side, AAF has my new favorite live song on it; American Eulogy. They fucking rocked that song out of this fucking world. It is now my lifelong goal to see AE live. And Static Age was absolutely incredible! Jason Freese's Sax solo was beyond amazing and the camera angles caught every stylish pose by Mike and Jason White that you could hope for in one song Overall, AAF was fantastic, but BIAB definitely takes the cake for me. Emilie
Wow, they both have exactly the same amount of votes now! Well, that's how I feel so great Not anymore I liked BiAB more than AAF. I mean, the songs on AAF were great, Static Age almost made me cry with happiness when the Jasons were playing together. And the song choices were great, I love that they didn't just have 21CB songs, but they had older songs as well. But when I finished the AAF DVD, I still felt like it was only half over. What I loved most about BiAB were the little snippets in between the songs, which AAF didn't have. Sure, it had those clip-things, but that was only twice or something. BiAB had it between every song. It just felt a little unfinished? Plus, BiAB has KFAD
