It was my first time seeing it with the new actors, too. I was surprised how much I liked the two new lead guys! I did miss Stark's voice, though, I had liked his the best of the guys. Can't imagine seeing it without Rebecca..her voice is just so powerful!

Agreed on pretty much everything :) Rebecca has such a great presence as Whatsername. She's vulnerable and fiery all at the same time, which I personally think would be hard to replicate, and of course there's her voice...

Yep I saw you! I hope you saw me wave to you! Sorry that I couldn't chat right then.

Yup! I saw you wave. It was pretty hectic- I'd never seen the line that long before and everyone kept getting mixed up with the line for the Helen Hayes Theatre...

I don't know if it was this thread or a different one that I was complaining in because I was going to NYC with my school and we were seeing a Broadway show, but no one wanted to see American Idiot, but I just had to say that when we left for NYC, we were supposed to see Memphis. Apparently it didn't fit into our schedule so we got to see American Idiot instead! :woot: :woot: I couldn't believe it, I was so excited. (It was Saturday night, the 16th). I can't believe my luck. It was so, so, so, so amazing. And the fact that Billie was in it and everything, gah it was perfect. Plus it was the last thing we did on our last day in New York, so it was the perfect way to end the night and the trip. And when that guy proposed to his girlfriend, I almost cried. It was awesome.

I couldn't stick around to wait for Billie to come out or anything because we had to leave for our hotel (which was in New Jersey and a pretty long drive) since he was going to take a while, but my teacher said that he did get a spot right at the barrier when he came out of the theatre, except when they told him Billie would be a while because of the crowds coming out he left since he knew he wouldn't have time. The rest of the people on the trip loved it too and half of them didn't even want to see it.

The actual play was awesome, I loved actually being able to see the story played out, instead of just reading about it on here. Like I knew what was happening from hearing about it all the time on here or the GDA, but to actually see it was great. The new cast members were all amazing too, not that I can compare them to the previous people since I haven't seen them perform. But I was very happy and can't believe I was actually lucky enough to see this on my freaking school trip.

Sorry for such a huge post.

The audio of Billie proposing to Van is on the AIOB site now :D I really hope a video turns up

I love it!:happy: "Van, will you marry me?" "YES, YEAAHS!" ahaha awesome

And Billie forgot the lyrics, well yeah, that could always happen. But still, he sings that song every day, ha

Did Billie sing part of Hold On again yesterday or was it just a glitch on the website playing Saturday's matinee?

Thanks for posting the awesome recap! :D

Cannot believe this is the very last week of shows. What a great year it's been! Can't wait to hear all the stories/shenanigans that go on. I'm sure they'll go out with a bang!
