Yay! New video!

Billie: "I mean, this is the first time we've ever really sung about fucking" ...so maybe It's Fuck Time will be on the new album?

I highly doubt it, he said it was really personal. I don't think that song is particularly personal.

My favourite of all the videos. ''The songs are gonna fuckin blow their minds'' ..Setting my expectations high!

Fuck Time on the new album..... wow. come on guys.

You're always a Debbie Downer, dude. What makes you think it WON'T be? Sure, it's nothing Green Day has ever done before...... and that's EXACTLY what Billie says in the video.

Wish we still had neg rep

Theres a great chance that he's talking about "It's Fuck Time", dude. Don't really think the band should be putting a song like that on a Green Day album, but the next Hottubs project or something would be fine.

Word, so you can try to make me feel worse about myself because you don't agree with my opinion.

I really hope this new stuff won't be a kind of American Pie-recording. I mean, I'm not sure if Fuck Time should took place in any Green Day album. These guys (especially Billie Joe) are fucking poets, if they can create lyrics like Homecoming, they really shouldn't realese songs like Fuck Time as 'Green Day'. Great song, but for Foxboro Hot Tubs, not for Green Day.

Yes yes yes - could not agree with you more!

A lot of people seem very eager to have it on the new album, but as much as it's a cool-sounding song, and probably lots of fun to hear live, no way does it hold the quality of a Green Day song. FBHT? Yeah sure, but to be quite frank I would be embarrassed if it was on the new record. I really don't think it will be, but I just don't see why so many people want them to release it (not as Green Day, anyway). But hey, that's just me - I guess I just like their songs to have a little more substance than 'oh baby baby it's fuck time'.

Didn't the band say the new album will have somewhat of a Foxie twist? That song could be it.

I really don't understand why Fuck Time isn't "right" for the new album.

Some of you guys are saying that it's not Green Day, but really? They've got such a varity of styles, it's hard to classify them. I'm sure a bunch of people would've never expected an album like Warning because of how different it sounded. They very well may be doing the same thing for this album.

This album is going to be totally different from anything else, so wouldn't it seem okay for that type of song to be on the record?

I agree. Just because a song is a bit different or has some humour doesn't mean it can't sit alongside their more serious songs. You've only gotta see Green Day on stage to see they're the masters of mixing serious and fun without being some gimmicky band. And look at Kerplunk with Dominated Love Slave stuck right next to One Of My Lies, or Blood Sex And Booze on Warning or King For A Day on Nimrod. It's clear to see they know how to have fun and make risque and silly songs from time to time so I'm not sure what the objection is. The more daring and unexpected and different the better I say, I love it when they mix things up.

Very true, respected. I just think the guys are maybe a little too old at this point to be putting it under the Green Day name, but I guess we will have to wait and see.

I don't think you are ever too old to have fun or to do what you want to do.

Now I would rather not see It's Fuck Time on a Green Day album, but if it ends up on the new album I am sure I will like it somehow. It has a nice rock 'n roll sound and maybe they will do something cool with it. We'll see what happens

I kind of like having "It's Fuck Time" just being something that hardcore fans are familiar with. I definitely would LOVE a studio version of it, but I don't need it on the new album.

This exactly. I like this unofficial thing to it and if it has to be recorded, then it would be a Foxies song in my opinion.

Yeah in an ideal world I'd have Fuck Time as a Foxboro song. But if a studio version of it is on offer I'm really not gonna complain about how it's released or what it's released on, I'll take it any way I can get it . If they're not doing a Foxboro album to put it on and the new Green Day album's Foxboro-influenced anyway then having it on the Green Day album (or as a b-side) would be a pretty good second best option.

I wouldn't mind having Fuck Time on the record. Sure, it might be considered too 'easy' for Green Day. Then again, Jesus of Suburbia would been considered too big for Green Day 10 years ago, and look how that turned out.

Watch this turn out to be an entirely different song about fucking called "Let's Have Sex and Get Married" or something like that lol.

On further thought, I definitely think it's not Fuck Time. Stop When The Red Lights Flash has that chorus "I'll make you surrender" and is about fucking. At the Red7 show he even made some sort of Penn State joke just before this song so it's about sex lol. Oh, and also at Red7, Billie clarified that Fuck Time is both a Foxboro and a Green Day song. So... there's that

Oh I didn't know that about Stop When The Red Lights Flash. Interesting, I'll have to give it another listen.

Well regardless of whether It's Fuck Time is on the album or not, by the sounds of the videos, it's going to be ladled with passion (artistic and otherwise) and anything that has passion is good enough for me...

Exactly. I'm wishing for a B-side. I think it needs to be tracked in the studio, but they've got to have much better stuff up their sleeves as far as the album-specific material is concerned.
