Starting January 1st, I will be taking submissions for the next Green Day Collab video!

The song were using this time is ¡Viva La Gloria! Any and all Green Day fans can be a part of this!

Make a video of yourself lip syncing and rocking out to the song. Maybe even do some acting out parts, we're trying to venture away from the usual bedroom videos, but those are still okay to do.

When making your video, please be sure to do the whole song. I don't want there to be any gaps when I start the editing and don’t worry about your audio, in the final version you’ll only hear the actual song so your audio doesn’t matter. The quality of your camera doesn’t really matter either, but just make sure it’s clear enough to see you.

After you've recorded your video, upload it to sendspace.com

Once uploaded, you'll be given a link to download your file, send the link to GDcollab@gmail.com

Do not send me your link to your video via Facebook, Youtube, GDC, etc.

PLEASE do not forget to mention your name and location in the email.

The deadline is TBA but will probably end up being sometime towards the end of February. I want to be sure that everyone has plenty of time to think of some amazing ideas and possibly arrange some meet-ups (in front of the St. James). Be as creative as you want!

If you guys have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask me!

Thanks guys!

I understand you want most of it done in lip-syncing, but would we be able to add some bits in of us playing the instruments? :)

For example, in Viva La Gloria Tre does a lot of crash cymbal accents throughout, and especially at the end, and it would be good for cinematographic purposes if you perhaps added short spliced footage of the crash cymbal being hit at the same time as the song. Short bursts of footage are really good for music videos, if they're timed rhythmically and added with a cinematic theme in mind, because they add rhythm to the video and make the audio have more impact, as it seems more a part of the song, instead of added on top of it :) Ahaa that's just what they teach us film students anyways...

Anyways I'm interested either way, just curious as to whether instrumental bits are allowed too :)

I can't see that being a problem! As long as you don't fall out during filming  sorry I shouldn't be laughing!

Instruments are allowed, all the previous submissions have had drummers or guitarists play along to the song, but the actual audio of them playing isn't heard in the video.

I really want to see that video now

I can't wait to see your video! All your past ones have been great and this sounds fantastic!

Seriously Mallory.. I can't wait to see your video! It's sounds awesome. :D(As in.. awesome, just awesome, not awesome as fuck. Unless you were wearing a pink bunny costume.)

makes me totally excited to see yours! :)

Thank you, you guys! :D

Me too. Or at least after the final video comes out, it would be awesome to see your full video then.

The annoying thing is because its a 4 minute collab we're only gonna see about 20-30 seconds of your video max, so if you wanted to upload the full thing to youtube that would be awesome!

Funnily enough, I actually was planning on uploading the full version to my site after the collab video's out!
