How dare you :o Haha yeah seriously being in NYC and seeing the musical is so worth it!! We have school everyday but it doesn't happen often we can actually go to that amazing city and see this mindblowing show

I usually skip class to buy tickets, that includes the ones for the two Green Day shows I've been to :D

I've seen Billie Joe in American Idiot, but didn't wait around for him after the show. It was too cold out and I wasn't feeling well. Now that he's only got a couple of weeks left, I'm kicking myself for not waiting. :( I want to go back to the St. James one day, before the show, and meet Billie on his way into the theater. Has anyone else done this? What time should I get to the theater?

i miss it so much that im ACTUALLY legitimately distracted from my school work :P

I totally understand!

Good thing my classes started 3 weeks after I saw the show or else it would've been the same for me :P

I can't believe it.....the weekend after I go to NY, I will get back home in the middle of the night and have a midterm the next day.:sleep:

I tried waiting one Sunday and he didn't show up until after 2pm for the 3pm show. Everyone there was surprised at how late he arrived. Some said he ususally gets to the theatre around 1pm on matinee days. So it just depends on him. I wouldn't get to the theatre later than 12:30, just in case that one day he's even earlier!

It was a lot of fun hanging out with the other fans, talking and waiting. And the time went by fast. Plus you can enter the lottery if you're there early enough while you're waiting for him to show up, if you want.

the day i waited for him to get to the theater i got there at 12 and he didnt show up til about 215. poor guy was running so late and he got bumrushed by a ton of girls. lol. i let him be and just said hi

if you want a barrier spot after the play youre prob gonna have to either leave early or not go to the play and wait outside the whole time. what i did is i saw the play on saturday then just staked out the st james on sunday. it was freeeezing but the people you meet make it fun

I'm planning to go look at the theater tomorrow around 1230-1ish. Let's hope I have good timing and see him walking in!

I leave for the airport in 4 hours! :runaround:

Thanks! I know it just wasn't in the cards for me to have a personal meet and greet with Billie! But that's okay. I had a blast hanging out with everyone and hearing all of your stories, etc. Plus I made my plane home so that was good!

Hang out by the glass doors (closer to Broadway) and wait until he arrives. There will be others there too. Make friends, have fun and good luck!

the last St Billie show on the 27th has now been made even sadder with Michael Esper leaving too on that day

I WILL BE A TEARFUL MESS

Sadly, you can add John Gallagher Jr. to that too now. :(

I don't think I could handle being there for that!

I'm going to the St. James on Saturday afternoon. It's a matinee day, and I plan on arriving at the theater between 12 and 12:30. Do I have a ticket to the show? Nope. Don't care. I just want to meet other fans, Billie, and some of the cast. :)

It's great that even though you don't have a ticket you can stil hang outside the theater. If you put you ear to the door you could hear the show. Just don't talk to loud because the people inside can hear you. I saw 2 girls going nuts while listening to the show and it pissed me off. They were giggling and dancing and when Billie came out they screamed. I was thinking shut up or someone will come out and tell us all we have to leave. But they eventually left and never returned. Your also guarenteed a barrier spot if you wait throughout the entire show or most of it. I'm planning to wait outside on the 16th and the 18th of next week. The 17th I'm getting there early to see him go in and meeting up with some other people from here. Then seeing the show. I have a feeling Billie may not come out right away anyway because there will be a party or something for him after the show plus EVERYBODY is going to be there. But waiting outside is fun (if it's not to cold) you chat with other fans and the time goes by fast. I waited outside once and it was freezing and windy which made it worse but I didn't care.

Van Hughes who is currently the Johnny, Will, Tunny standby (a type of understudy).
