Bastard of 1967
Oh, I didn't really care. In fact Dan and I just laughed when they all turned and looked my way. But as for singing, I'm really awful and never in key, so no one ever wants to hear me sing instead of those on stage!! I have noticed both times I've seen AI, that Dan and I usually the only ones around us bouncing to the music. That I just don't get. I won't dare sing over the cast, we're all going to hear them, not ourselves. Lipsynching and otherwise rocking out a bit so that the cast can see you getting into it along with them, but (and here's the important but) in a way that doesn't interfere with others' enjoyment of the show, I think is what you want to shoot for with this. Yeah, we're walking a bit of a tightrope but a little common sense and common courtesy should keep you on the right side of whatever blurry etiquette line fits here. I told someone on Twitter the other day who got mad at someone singing loudly that it was the "fine line between B'way and punk." Haha.

Robin105
Sorry about the wait people. I was overexcited and overtired to post the review and I didn't have my computer on to upload pics. We got to the theater around 3:15 and just hung out and were listening to the show through the door. I almost scream when I heard Billie go on. We were talking to some people outside for a while. About 20 minutes before the show ended they put up barricades by the main stage door. We quickly walked over there to guarentee us a spot. After everyone let out some of the cast came out. Met Wallace, Michael, Stark, and Theo. Then the security guy said Billie wasn't coming out but we stayed a little longer just in case he was bullshitting us. But it turned out he didn't come out after the 3pm show. They had food delivered so that's probably why. We went to get something to eat ourselves and got back to the theater around 7:15. Again we waited. Met a bunch of cool people. Saw Tanya after the matinee and then met Decca while waiting by the door. More people started coming so we all decided to line up by the door and again 20 minutes before the show ended they put the barricades up. Thats when it got crazy. Security had to keep telling people to keep moving and not to block the walkway. Then the cast started coming out. We met Gerard, Aspen, Chase, Alysha, Jeanna (the new Heather) I think that's her name, and Rebecca. Then we see Adrienne walk out followed by Billie and I lost my shit. I couldn't believe how close I was to him. I had brought a picture for him to sign which he did! I'll take a pic of it later and post it. Here are some pics: :woot: More pics here

Laura!
That's awesome Robin! I'm glad you got to meet him! Did you stay all through Good Riddance and still be able to get the barrier? I don't want to leave before it but would love a chance at meeting him.

decca
I don't know how many people would want them, but if anyone who can't get to the show wants at the very least one of the understudy slips that says "The role of St. Jimmy, usually played by Tony Vincent, will be played by Billie Joe Armstrong", I'd be happy to pick up a few extras (there are always people who don't want them/leave them lying around) and mail them out. I can try for some extra playbills or little things like that from the show as well. So if anyone wants one, PM me.
plaid ducky
For those who went to the show this past weekend, was Tony still in the Playbill or was Billie? They might not have the slips anymore when Billie is put in the Playbill.

Sorry, I took my Playbill out of my purse this morning, but if you remind me (if you don't get a answer beforehand), I'll look when I get home. I don't want to leave before it but would love a chance at meeting him. I didn't see the show I waited outside since 3 oclock. The person next to me was lucky. There was no barrier but the guy didnt make her move but then he set up a barrier next to me. Try and get out as fast as you can.
Dreamer on the Run
That's awesome Robin! I'm glad you got to meet him! Did you stay all through Good Riddance and still be able to get the barrier? I don't want to leave before it but would love a chance at meeting him. When I saw it in October when he did his week stint, I left right as Good Riddance was over, before they took the final bow. I had a balcony seat and almost threw myself down the stairs to get there, but I made it to the barrier. It just depends on how many people from the street line up. TAG
I haven't been to the show yet but I'll be there tomorrow, front row center seat, which I've NEVER sat in before. I heard this past weekend either a lot of people left during good riddance to line up or they were already outside to meet Billie. When he did his run in Sept/Oct, it was chaotic every single night.... it seems to me that it is more mellow this time to get to try to meet him which is good for those who are coming out to see the show that have yet to meet him or the cast
Robin105
Let me ask you guys opinion. What do you all think if I were to make Billie a little stuffed bear out of pom poms and make it kind of look like him and give it to him after the show? Do you think that's a good idea?
