No problem! I have such bad luck with lotto and didn't want to bother with it so I got AA for a few dates as well! At first I was like 'WHERE ARE THESE AA TICKETS COMING FROM WTF?!?" and then I was like OH I got it now... and I wanted to make sure other fans that are heading that way have a chance at sitting front row center as well

so, for anyone planning to see the shows on these days in January, the Idiot Club still has some row AA [front row center] seats left

5- 2 tickets for 2pm [seats 105 & 106] & 18, 19, 22, and 27 all have 1 ticket left [seat 106] the prices vary between $132-147

[P.S- the tickets only go up until feb 6, the dates I posted are the dates left for the performances Billie will be St. Jimmy]

I tried to get one of those tickets today and they seem to be all gone now. :(

Bummer, I tried looking for tickets and they didn't come up. I should have looked for the specific nights that you posted, Toniann. I bought a ticket for closing night, not in the front instead. I am a doofus. I can't buy a second ticket right now. What. An. idiot.

They are still available.

Ah yeah, the tickets only go up to Feb. 6th.

Jan 5th still has the two AA tickets for 2pm, and there's still one left for the 18th, 19th, and 27th.

I'm sure they'll still be around for a bit!

I hope come pay day! I would love to see the show at least once from the front row.

When I searched, they only came up with tickets for the night he wasn't in the show.

ahhh, I'm so excited for this. Whenever I'm at work and it's shitty (which is always during the christmas season) I just think about the money I'm making to see this.

it makes it all worth while.

I'm gonna be in the US in just over 50 days :runaround:

Okay, so you explained how you're able to afford to constantly travel around the world to attend Green Day related events --- You work hard for your money, I assume at a pretty high paying job? Which is both awesome and totes jealous inducing --- But how the fuckadoodledoo do you get parental permission to do such a thing?! :o

'Specially considering there's people your age or older on GDC who live, like, eight hours away from New York and they're still not allowed to go. :pinch:

Just curious!

Yes, I did that. But the Broadway.com link site from the Idiot Club only came up tickets for shows that he wasn't in. I should have come back to this page and read your message before I bought a ticket, but at least I'm going on his last night now, too.

wow, no. I have a low-to-average paying part-time job in a coffee shop (Gloria Jeans which is like Starbucks). I just don't have a life so I don't spend any money. I'm motivated enough to control myself, and not buy things I really don't need. I funded my trips to Europe and the US from a years worth of savings I worked for in my gap year, and my 'normal' life has pretty much taken a backseat since the Europe tour.

My mum encourages me to go. She wanted me to go and do Europe and America - she said that she never got the oppertunity when she was my age, so she wants me to live and experience what she couldnt.

With this though, she's not as happy, because it means yet another semester of not doing uni...or anything apart from work. I've done 1 semester of university since finishing high school in Dec 2008. But I say fuck it. I don't know what I want to study, and I can go to uni any time. don't wanna make a plan for a day far away...

In the end, she respects the fact that I'm legally an adult and I'm free to do what I like, and she knows that this makes me happier than anything else in the world.

I don't get the parents who wont let their adult kids come and see this.

If you don't live a little now, then when? once you retire?

hell.no.

hahaha i work at starbucks! coffee shops FTW! i also work a second job sometimes. i sell nuts at a concert venue close to my house. woohoo for working 2 jobs + school full time. no life yeah!

even though im only about a 2 hour plane ride away from ny i was really worried what my mom would think. but like i said ever since i turned 18 im pretty much free to do what i want. my mom got on a greyhound bus and ran away from home the day after she turned 18 and moved from michigan to georgia and has been on her own ever since. so its kind of the same philosophy, she wants me to enjoy myself while i still can.

ahaha, she is pretty damn awesome.

and it's funny, pretty much every...more mature Green Day fan has said the same thing to me. It makes me feel alot better about my descision not to go straight into uni :)

The friends I've made... I have friends all over the world now. It's a little hard to comprehend sometimes to be honest.

and obviously I don't know anything about your mum, but maybe you should sit down with her and tell her really honestly about how much Green Day means to you, and what seeing this would mean.

Honesty and well-thought out words can work wonders.

That's awesome!

I figure parents who let their kids have freedom are gonna get more respect from their kids as opposed to the ones who never let their kids live and experience the world.

I know I've picked up some amazing life experience travelling around the world. I'm so much more confident in myself now.

seriously. more parents need to understand the more you shelter your kids, the crazier theyre gonna go after they leave the house. so you might as well give them some freedom as long as theyre still under supervision.

Whoa, quite a few peeps seemed interested in your reply, Aska! I'm glad I asked you, even though I felt a little intrusive doing so. :ninja:

Ace of fucking spades, everything you just explained is so awesome. I was nodding my head the whole way through, because it all just makes sense, y'know? Doing what makes you happy, so long as it's not hurting yourself or others, is the key --- The key --- To living a great life, in my opinion. ((I just wish I could apply this opinion to my own life.))

And it's amazing that your Mum's basically cool with this. I can't even attend concerts unless one of my parents come with me because they seem to think that I'm going to get raped/robbed/beaten up if I go anywhere there's large groups of people alone. Their mentality is pretty fucked up. They literally believe that every single time I leave the house, there's a high possibility of me being sexually assaulted --- But they don't apply this to any of my younger brothers, because they're not females. And I'm not even going to mention how old I am, as it just makes their mentality even more ridiculous.

Whoops. I ranted a bit. Probably because this is a major issue in my day to day life, heh.

SO ANYWAY. Just wanted to say that your life and your Mum are both awesome, and, while I'm quite jealous you have the chance to do stuff like this, I'm really happy for you that you do. ^^

You can also live a little when you are in your 40s and have three kids!

There are challenges to it at any age or any time in your life. When you are younger, it's a often a conflict with schooling and (lack of) money. Later, it might be time off work when you're trying to move up the ladder in your career. And even later, it might be spouse and committment to parenting. Sigh. Almost always a delicate balancing act!

Sounds like you have your head on straight about things, Aska. And it's great that your mom is so supportive. :)
