Lots of layers! and she can have her GD shirt shown inside the theater! have her throw it over a long sleeved shirt! [trust me, most people at that time will be doing it, so tell her it wont look silly!]
ParadoxAndPlaid
On the subject of what to wear; pick your personal comfort over formality. If you don't feel comfortable getting dressed up, don't! I've never been to any theater where people were really concerned with how you were dressed, especially this particular musical. Dress however you want, nobody is there to judge you, and with it being winter now, don't compromise your warmth! Speaking of that, I'm so worried It'll snow or sleet the weekend I go! It happens every time I go to New York in the winter, miserable, freezing, wet.
sarah?
Is it weird that I recognised you from the Toronto show by the caricature you're using for your avatar ...? hahaha, no. the person who drew it is very talented ^_^ im going to be wearing about 50 jackets and 8 pairs of pants. i will actually freeze to death otherwise. but last time i went i wore... a singlet and sneakers? nobody's gonna turn up in a ball gown or anything

She took our photo and everything, and we were in HIGHLY casual clothes. like, tank tops (that's what you americans call them, right?), jeans, chucks. so, fuck dressing up. If the AI costume designer wants and likes casual, Ima bring casual. but this time, like Sarah said, I'll be layering up. I've been warned about the NY weather in Feb. They sure can have an attitude till they realize your were right and then it was all their idea in the first place On the subject of what to wear; pick your personal comfort over formality. Speaking of miserable freezing stuff....yesterday here in Raleigh it snowed for a few hours then turned to freezing rain and coated the roads with a sheet of ice! Of course I had a 9:00 am court date on the worst day to drive ever. Luckily I lived in the Rocky Mountains for 10 years so I know how to drive in that crap just wish everyone else did. Ok sorry I got off topic Again New York is always Freezing!
lizziebix
Don't be too sure about the ball gowns. Saw them at the show we were at last weekend!!! That's what I meant when I said people wear everything - whatever it is they are most comfortable in!

And when I went, I wore this, and Rebecca told me she loved my outfit and stared at me with her humongously gorgeous eyes for a full five seconds while I stood there and grinned like a total 'tard. And then Leslie proceeded to gush over my 'Hello, my name is Whatsername' badge and then go up to Rebecca after she finished talking to me to make sure she saw it. clairex
It is snowing here, I want it to go as it 19 days till I fly out and I'm going to be worrying about the airport closing! I can get to the airport easy enough as I live very close. So don't really need to worry about roads.

Ireland totally shuts down with even 3cm of snow, it's ridiculous and bad weather is forecast pretty much continuously. There's also the matter of getting back here which could be an issue. I don't think Manchester airport has shut this winter yet, but it shut last January for a few days before I flew to Orlando (where it was so cold they had ice, I still can't believe I have seen ice in Florida!!). I hate the snow as it ruins everything!!
