My dad actually said that there's a large possibility of him taking me!!!!! Fuck Yessss!

Which is better, opening, his birthday, or closing?

Hmm... I'm probably shooting for the last performance, y'know, just in case he does something special!

This actually worked out freaking amazing. A couple weeks ago I went to the box office to get tickets for me and my mom, hers as a Christmas present because she likes Green Day too and wanted to see the show. I got balcony seats for January 9, basically picking a random day. Now today I get an email saying that Billie is gonna be performing the day we go.....just awesome. Finally some luck =D I may be in the balcony but it'll be closer than I was at MSG lol. I'm just so excited, and I can't wait to give my mom the gift now that Billie will be there. And for me, now my 2nd time seeing the show will be different and more amazing!

Of course I can't help but let my paranoia set in - he's doing two shows every Sunday EXCEPT the Sunday I'm going, where he's only doing the 3PM show. I have tickets for that show, but I can't shake the feeling that he won't be there for some reason haha.

God do I love being one train ride from Times Square. Everytime I convince myself that I wanna leave this city, I convince myself back to knowing I live so close to the center of so much amazing stuff. The fact that I was able to go to the freaking box office myself and buy these tickets is awesome.

Just my two cents - but I doubt they'll be a FBHT show with Billie having to sing St Jimmy 50 times in 2 months. Doubt he'd want to ruin his voice and have an understudy go on for him.

True. Maybe afterwards, but I would still doubt during.

YES! My parents said they'd take me and my friend again.  Never thought I'd say this, but thank God I live in Connecticut. So close to NY.

Also, it's cool that my parents are Green Day fans too.

Well, if it makes you feel better, no one is doing the evening show on that Sunday. :D It was canceled.

What are on average the prices in the cheapest hotels/motels/whatever other cheap and safe accommodation in NY? I'm going to drive myself completely crazy not knowing whether I could have gone money-wise or not

Although I just realized that even if I had enough money and my parents allowed me, I would still need someone to go with because there's no way I'd be allowed to go alone. And I am pretty sure no one I know will want to go to NY for a couple of days for a musical...

All I can speculate is that even way back when he was just a little kid, what was he practicing to? Broadway show tunes...he's always had the show bug in him and I think it's great that he's had a chance to explore this professionally now. But "boring" of making music and touring? No way.

This could make the most marvelous birthday for me. There are performances the day before and the day after my birthday. I booked those days off work months ago. So, time off sorted. My hubby says he'll look after the kids, so that's taken care of. My brother lives in NYC, place to stay no problem. My biggest hurdle is the 350 plus pounds needed for the air fare and the huge number of dollars needed to get tickets for AI. Hmmmmm, that's a big one! Might have to consider selling one of my kids. I also have a kidney I could spare if anyone is interested.

For those of you who already know that you're going....hope you all have a fantastic time. So happy St. Billie is going to return. I knew he would.

I just need to get in my head that I will never be able to see this

Unless they release a DVD. That's my only and last hope.

Because even if they tour to Europe (which I truly doubt tbh), it would be only to the UK. Why would they tour to countries which don't speak English and wouldn't go to the show because of that? And there's no way I'd be allowed to go to the UK just to see a musical :(

Yeah, I don't think I can make that work. Not sure I can miss work on Monday. We'll figure it out though!!

Definitely, even if it's just meeting to say hello!

I'm so excited, I love meeting people from GDC!
