Not wasting my money on this again. Is it really going to be different than the last one?

That's not really what I meant. Of course I'm excited to go, but I'm not traveling from all across the globe to see it. If it was any more out of my way, I wouldn't bother. I could see people coming from everywhere to see the talkbacks and 92y or St. Billie, but whatever. This interview seems like it's going to be...different somehow. Idk.

I'm still really happy for all the people who can come, it's gonna be great :)

I couldnt and i still do not see why people came from around the globe to see an interview. an INTERVIEW out of all things....

st billie? yeah i see why that would be a great thing to see and why people from other cities in the northeast came but seriously for people to be flying in from around the country and other countries for all of the above... you all must have SOME money to blow... or some majooooor priority issues. especially those of you over the age of 30. it makes me wonder what you are all doing with your lives outside of following green day...

I think one of the reasons there are a lot of people traveling for this, is because they had already planned on going to New York at the end of January for the end of the musical.

But then the musical got extended [yay].

Then just a couple weeks later, this interview was announced.

So, instead of canceling, or just going to see the musical at the end of January for no special reason, people decided to change their plans slightly.

That's my case anyway, and few other people I know. I mean, we'd already planned on spending that money, so why not just change the plans up a little bit.

That way we get to see the interview, and the musical.

And no, I'm not made of money nor do i have majooooor priority issues. I work. And the money I make goes towards things I enjoy. One of which includes Green Day. Another, traveling. What's the point if you don't get to spend some of your hard earned money on things you enjoy?

I am traveling to this because I was planning on going somewhere anyway so I decided to go to NYC. We will be doing other stuff there anyway. People travel from all over the world to NYC every day, it is really no big deal. After my responsibilities I like to spend my money on traveling and living life. Not stuck at home all the time.

I'm not even sure if they'll allow us to line up too early, but I'm not sure. I'll probably get there around noon time, earliest. I don't suggest anyone get there at any ungodly hours - Billie's last interview was really nice, and it was awesome seeing him after, but if this interview is like his last...It is 100% NOT worth waiting 10+ hours in 5° weather.

Alot of my friends and I- the waiting is half the fun. There are a few of us who've done overnights for certain events (I have no intention of overnighting this one) but waiting in the line and just hanging out and meeting other crazies who are waiting too is something I enjoy. Maybe I'm just twisted like that, but oh well.

yeah it would be crazy to go overnight LOL but also, there are other interviews going on that day there too that i just thought about so either there has to be a line up elsewhere or line up when the other people go in for the other interview before ours...which might be insane....

Who the hell are you to pass judgement on who wants to go or is going to this or not?

I live in the US and I can't go. Traveling from one state to the next is pretty expensive depending on where you're going.

That is very true.

But since I'm from the UK, and i'm only 14, I can't even leave here myself to see it. Whereas - dependant on which state I was from and of course costs, ect - I could possibly have at least a slightly better chance of being there.

thats exactly how i feel, and i am about 20 minutes away in the same city haha. :runaround:

I doubt i will go to this if billie isnt being st billie that weekend. Its 75 minutes of the same stuff we've already heard,as cute as it is, I just can't see me wasting my time. but ya never know

Yes maybe some people were planning on coming to new york anyway, but there were definitiely a lot of people who were obviously not planning to come in september and I'm sure for this too that are coming just for this. If it was a concert I would understand but an interview? Really? You know it will end up online eventually in some way

Who the hell are you to pass judgement on who wants to go or is going to this or not?

I'm alex. And I can judge whoever the hell I please to as they may judge me :)

There was a weeks notice for Billie being in the musical. There's 2 months notice for this interview. Pretty sure that gives people more time to save money and make plans to take the time off work, and whatever else.

AND January is the cheapest month to travel to New York. Round trip ticket for $200 yo! :woot:

It's not like people are flying to bum fuck nowhere to see the interview. It's fucking New York City! Who does't want to go there?!

anywayyyy this is pointless.

I couldn't go to the interview in September because I was in NYC about 10 days before! I couldn't change the trip or fly back so soon.

My sister got married the weekend after bj was in NYC for the 92Y panel interview. Had to miss out on that (the interview, not the wedding! :P ) We're going this time, yea!!!

I'm going with my best friend, who never goes to Green Day events with me, so it will be weird and exciting for her to meet all of my friends. :) She got me into Green Day. It's going to be a good time!

Also folks, don't feed the troll. I know it's hard, but it's the only way. :shifty:

You realize that concerts end up online as well. As do meet and greets. And random sightings. And press releases.

Your argument is pointless. Go away.

well i cant argue with you on that last part.

When has a meet and greet ever ended up online? And exactly my point... if all of these things end up online why travel so far to go for it?

And concerts are completely different because as I'm sure you know theres no feeling that compares to seeing a live concert. Interviews are the same in person as online.

Maybe, but it makes you look like a bitch. And that's not flattering on anyone. :)

But I am a bitch.......
