MCC
site site site!!! If you have nothing positive to say, then please refrain from commenting. We will not be arguing over the website design anymore. We are moving forward and planning this awesome event so either be positive or please leave! Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love
Fuck off. There's a difference between disliking the way the site looks and being a dick about it. And it's not like you are or were previously involved in the project. You can have an opinion about the website all you want, but those posts being rude are the only ones you've made in here and that's just uncalled for. MCC
EDIT: Thank you Sanne! So I'm gonna throw an idea out there for more possible fundraising merchandise. We need to come up with something else that is a bit cheaper for people who can't/won't pay 20 dollars for a t-shirt. I was thinking maybe wristbands. I know there are a ton of Green Day designs being sold by various people so most GDCers are getting tired of them but the general public may be willing to pay 5 bucks for a bracelet as opposed to 20 for a shirt. Just a thought.
sara_gd
I don't think I would buy a wristband, but maybe "general public" as you said, does. What about badges? Maybe badges that say "I was part of Green Day Across the World", but that's too long, and "GDATW" can stand for many things... hmmm...
cityof_lust17
Braclets are definitely more doable, Adrian and I are brainstorming!

I probably would buy one just to have as a momento but I'm just trying to think of something cheaper for fans in case they couldn't afford a shirt. I like the badge idea too! if we all brainstorm, I'm sure we can come up with an awesome idea or two.

Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love
I like the idea of badges. Wristbands might not sell too well since it's a one time even thing and people might not want to spend €5 on something like that, but badges can be quite simple. On this website for example you can custom make your own badges and with bulk orders you can get, if you for example want 38mm badges, a hundred badges for 40GBP = $62 = €48. Within the UK shipping is also free (I can't find any international shipping rates), but that means that each badge would cost about €0.50 a piece ex. shipping, and if you sell them for €1 you can sell badges for a very acceptable price while still making a very nice profit. (which in turn will go to a charity) And I'm sure there are more websites like that out there Although I'm not too sure if people would buy badges... and a hundred is highly probably too much for one country, haha. I also like the kind of wristband you sometimes get at festivals... just a strip of fabric with a print on it. And those can't be too expensive to make either. Slappy.
haha, it looks like shit Are you fucking kidding me? I think most of us agree it's not the most professional looking site out there, but how dare you come and say it looks like shit. The website has already caused a few arguments in here and just as everyone is putting it behind them you come out with that? I've never even seen you post in this thread before, so uh yeah don't bother to again if you have nothing reasonable to say.

MCC
You guys are doing so much, I feel so useless, I haven't done anything for Melbourne! Work has just been so manic! Hey Tish, don't feel bad! There is still plenty of time to plan something! I'll probably not be able to help much but I can try to look around on the internet for things you could possibly do. If there is anything I can do to help, then just let me know.

dawn71
Yeah, you could try I don't live near Madrid (where the meet-up is going to be), nor does the other rep for Spain (María), but we have 2 girls from Madrid that are going to do that kind of thigs I don't think you should give flyers to people, at least not yet. If someone gave it to me and I saw that the event is 4 months from now, I'd probably throw it away and I won't remember again. I keep reading this but I don't get what you're trying to say... when i get back from NYC i'll got in more detail because there's lot to say that may help you all out....is that ok? I like your ideasfor Austin Dawn. I am also liking Leeannas idea about the restaurant. I'm glad to see we are moving forward. maybe we can combine them all somehow haha, it looks like shit sorry you feel that way. if you have any suggestion I would love to hear them. Just a thought. I'm working with another t-shirt screen printer and may be able to get them cheaper, not sure yet but working on it and they make lots of stuff other than t-shirts I'll look and check it all out. But I'll sell shirts at cost to all Team leaders plus shipping email me for the at cost price and I'll tell you more about all of this Of course I accept your apology, Dawn. I hope you're okay, and I hope you're having an awesome fuckin' time in New York so far! thank you so very much. its all water under the bridge I got to talk to Adie but it was about 2 mins before show started. she loves the idea i gave her a flyer and she said she wants to talk more to me about all of this. Michael Mayer loved the idea also. This is going to be a super colossal event=) I'm so stoked Are you fucking kidding me? Be sure to tell us EVERY DETAIL after you talk to Billie and Michael properly! =) And I agree, it's behind us now --- I only want to help this event along. And I have an idea: What if I design image banners to link to GreenDayAcrossTheWorld.Org that people here on GDC can put in their signatures and so on ...? I'm thinking it'll help get this event noticed a bit more!
