Finally here are the pictures that my phone was holding hostage. I finally

was able to get them saved and uploaded. I went straight from the airport

to my tattoo artist, because this tattoo was to important to trust it to just

anyone doing it. It came out great. It is practically already healed up

now. My arm didn't even bleed a drop getting this tattoo. What an awesome

reminder to have. It will be with me always. Also the placement of the tattoo

couldn't have been more perfect. Billie Joe asked me if he signed his name

on me would I go get it tatted. I said sure. He ask me where did I want him

to put his name. I said where do you want to put it. He chose my left arm

above the music staff and musical notes. It fit so perfectly in that spot. Here

are links to the pictures below.

Aw, Dawn...that tattoo is bitchin!

I'm really happy that you got to meet Billie. I was thinking about it that whole week when you were in New York.

I remember I saw you on that Saturday, before the night show and you got out of this bitch ass SUV

and I wanted to meet you so bad but, I had to leave to catch my train.

But anyway, I hope you're getting a lot of rest and I hope that you're feeling better.

That's such an awesome story, Dawn! I'm so happy for you you met Billie  And of course, that he signed your arm, and you got a tattoo of it! The tattoo looks great btw, and indeed, it's a great spot where he signed your arm, it fits with the other tattoos you already have. Just, awesome :)

I went to the matinee Saturday. It was incredible. It's really worth seeing even without BJ - for those who have not seen it yet. Billie did more than I thought and he's quite the actor. I'd love to see him do more of this type of performing - maybe even dance choreography :woot:

I loved everyone - Stark's got a great voice - I think my favorite was Wallace Smith doing "Favorite Son" dancing around in his underwear then they put the military recruiter uniform on him and I loved the way the dancers hung from the rafters in "Extraordinary Girl" - and the music director for the matinee was great and very enthusiastic - I ended up going to the late show too but I sat way up in the balcony.

It was great meeting Green Day fans from all over the country and four from England! I hung out with Dawn a little. I'm so glad that she got the hug she wanted from Billie Joe. I'm not much of an autograph hound. Sure I would have loved to tell Billie Joe that after my husband died he helped me laugh again but I imagine that in a way Billie Joe helps everyone through all their tragedies and trials in life and Dawn's a perfect example. She's been through so much and loved him so long, it's nice that she got him to sign her arm and got it tattooed.

I also did a bicycle tour of Central Park and saw Strawberry Fields, walked through Times Square, saw St. Patrick's Cathedral (part of my family history - hey, St. Jimmy and St. Patrick - what more could you ask for?

My pics are on my Facebook (Colleen Brooks) if anyone's interested - my camera doesn't take great pics but I've got some.

Thanks for allowing me to share.

Oh - here's a pic the guy in front of me took - not that great either though
