Billie Joe to play St. Jimmy in the musical

I am so sorry I didn't get on here right away but I barely made it to my hotel room when I broke down

in tears. I have a lot to tell everyone but I just can't get my head around it yet. It was so surreal. I

head home in the morning I have to go straight to tattoo shop because I promised Billie I'd get

it tatted. He ask me if he could sign my arm and if he did would I get it tatted and I said yes

so I am headed straight to my tattoo artist from the airport before it wears off. I promise I will

give an overview of everything. Right now it's like a dream and I will use the plane ride home to

get my thoughts together and get my head wrapped around what happened to me this weekend.

But I will tell you this. I told him I 1st saw him in 1991 at Star club and the was the night I got my

1st Green Day concert battle scar when a guy crowd surfing kicked me in the mouth on accident

and I just had gotten braces and my mouth bleed bad and my boyfriend tried to fight the guy

and Billy remembered me he actually remembered that happening to me 19 yrs ago. He and I talked

a while about that. He was so easy to talk to. I promise you all I will tell all when I get home. Thank you

all for rooting for me and wishing me luck. I love my GDC family

Congratulations Dawn! I can't wait to read the full story. Hope you have a safe trip home.

oh god are you serious? poor kid. i hope he told her to fuck off. like leave him alone, he's not his dad for god's sake.

You are right. But I kept thinking that it was goodbye goodbye, too. So I was just trying to help you out, whether it sounds like Sound of Music or not. Sheesh. Tough crowd around here, lol. :whistle:rolleyes::)

Haha, I didn't mean it in a negative way or anything. Just stated that it didn't really matter in a light-hearted manner.

Oh. My. God.

:runaround:

*tears of joy*

"American Idiot" was third last week in overall gross, just behind "Wicked" and "The Lion King." They were fourth in potential grosses with "Jersey Boys" hopping over. They were fourth in capacity filled by percentage, just behind "Wicked," "Jersey Boys," and "Billy Elliot." However, they were second, just behind "Wicked", in seats sold.

Amazing, guys. I do hope that people still come and see the show even without Billie in it. While he's not there physically, he surely left his mark and a little bit of him resides in everyone and everything there.

If that girl is on here- you are an ass [the girl running after Joey]. Her shoes literally came off. I almost threw them away because of what she did...

and I don't know if this other girl was on here but I was upset before the matinee yesterday [personal reasons] Billie was coming into the theater so my friends grabbed me up..this girl asked for a hug and went to kiss him, and if I wasn't so upset I would have punched her in the face. sorry but its the truth. i almost did. i would not have cared if it got me introuble either because im pretty sure i would have been defended by everyone there......OH and she must have been like 14 and her dad was ENCOURAGING IT!

people seriously are ridiculous

what kind of car did Joey get into cause I noticed her screaming after Billie left

i was confused why billie would leave joey there

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ THIS FUCKING THIS ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

tom kitt / michael mayer have TOTALLY changed how i hear AMERICAN IDIOT and i think that's pretty cool.

I have the same thing! The wake up part.. the City of the Damned part at the end of Boulevard of Broken Dreams, the bang bang part in Holiday, and so on.. and just the music in general. When I listen to the American Idiot record now, I notice things about the music I didn't notice before. I love it. It made me fall in love with the album for the Idon'tknowhowmany time

oh my fucking god, just got back from school, rushed straight to here as soon as I got back.

First things first - Goodbye New York? Simple, yet breathtaking, lyrically amazing and it almost brought tears to my eyes, the amount of affection he sang it with. I loved it. And I love how he stops and sort of giggles when someone said 'I love you.' xD

Second - we got so many good videos from last night :runaround: :runaround: I know it annoys the cast and everything but for us it's like...  I love that close-up one of the Death of St Jimmy a few pages back, and GREAT pictures as well. I'm so excited :runaround:

And finally, omggg DAWN. Did Stark really do that for her? Wow, he's amazing. SO glad for Dawn that her wish finally came true - who deserves it more than her?

Billie's such a great guy, he really cares about his fans so much.

Even the annoying fangirly types  Though I don't think it's bad that whoever screamed 'I love you' during the curtain call - I mean, if it were during the actual show, I mean, yeah, that would've been really stupid and uncalled for. But during the encore it's all in good fun, I think. But chasing after his SON? That's just...

Oh godddd I wish I could've gone more than EVER right now. After seeing all these vids and pics and accounts, especially from yesterday, it's just like....wow. Ever since Friday, there was this part of me thinking, oh, well, yeah, I'm going to go eventually, someone's going to like say to me 'hey I got tickets for this thing in New York, you wanna come with me?'

But that never happened. Obviously.

Well, at least some people in our GDC family got to live their dream...I hope one day it'll be me, but till then...hooray for everyone who did!

That's great! :D

I really hope the grosses keep up like this. The show really deserves it (as far as I can judge that). All the things under "last week" don't make me happy...

The interview is on my blog here: Interview with Dawn71, Green Day Fan and Afghan War Vet

Ah, thanks, forgot about that link you posted, American Basket Case, thanks!

And I think it's Goodnight, New York... ?

Sounds nicer than Goodbye... means maybe he'll be back?

I just hope I have money again by then, lol.

And yes, I hope he rubbed off on the show. Added that bit of punched to the show to allow the kids in the show to make it dangerous... hmm. I might have to scratch up some change to go back and see it soon. When are you going again, Plaid Ducky?

oh. my. god. IT DID SO WELL I'M SO PROUD OF IT

It grossed over double this week than it did the week before St. Billie, right? :runaround:

I hope it keeps up the good work. I think it will, because even I, personally, would be more inclined to see that show now than before St Billie, because...I don't know, it seems more appealing, though he's not in it. I've wanted to see the show before, too, though, I just want to more now. :)

Yeah it's the same here, I really wanted to see it before Billie was in it, but nopw I really really want to see it :runaround:

Someday....(I hope) :whistle

Someone posted a video of Billie doing autographs after the show... I just skipped through it and watched a couple seconds each time, but holy jeez. All you hear it people screaming and constantly there's someone screaming "billie billie billie billie billie". here.

Oh, scratch that... they were third in capacity filled by percentage. Heh...

And I'm in love with everything about this picture:

Tanya, I'm hoping to go on to the Sunday matinee, but I'm still waiting to hear if I'm working that day or not. It's rather annoying waiting for the word.

^^ Aw, that's a great photo...love to see them all looking so happy.

Eeeek about the ridiculous fangirls (and dads, jeez). It seems that the novelty of Billie Joe on Broadway brought out too many of the whackjobs along with the loyal fans. Booo.

Side note : Spring Awakening is coming here in November, just for two days. Going to see it with the husband - I can't wait!

Yes - that's a great picture.

Can I ask how many times you've seen the show?

Thanks for all the info about it.
