Red Lights Flash Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 i don't get why everyone's so het up about billie smoking. he's done it for years, presumably. it's his choice. etc. Well, it doesn't matter if he's been smoking for years (I would assume he has), I just don't approve of anyone smoking. He has the right to do it, but it's just my opinion that everyone would be better off not smoking. I really like that they don't smoke in public though. I have only seen one picture of him smoking since American Idiot. It's good that they don't send out the message that smoking is a 'cool thing to do' to all these young fans. I wonder if Mike and Tré smoke though? Haven't seen any pictures of them doing that..

Life is a world full of political choices and if we chose the wrong thing ... We are dead. Simple as that. Do we really want to go through life seeing ourselves suffering because of the choices we make? Do not forget the choices that other people make also... Billie Joe could end up smoking somewhere and somebody with asthma could come along and suddenly be dead because of his choice. Billie Joe without a doubt would feel like shit because of it but life goes on.

Sometimes it's immediately relevant, sometimes you gotta go back a while before you can find any sort of connection to a tweet. And yes, that's probably exactly what this thread would look like.
