Green Day Tweets

I knew about the meaning of Westbound sign, so that's not really news to me anymore.

"And my cat really did get caught in the dryer in deadbeat holiday"

Aw, poor cat. Deadbeat Holiday is a great song, I love the Warning record!

did he delete the tweet saying "fuck off if you think we merged them together etc.." or I can't see it anymore? O.O

he deleted a big part of his rant...

oh well, I just screenshotted it, because I saw it, but when I clicked the link it said the page didn't exist, so I screenshotted it to be sure it was still there. Hah Billie, you can delete all the tweets you want, but they're not disappearing off the internet

edit: wahahh!

'scuse the "one hour ago" thing, twitter's weird when I'm not logged in.

I'd love if he answered that... Misery's lyrics are pretty interesting.

In Misery wasn't the character Mr. Whirly a reference to a character from another song by another band, I can remember which song or band it was but i definitely read that somewhere before.

Yeah it's a song called Mr. Whirly by The Replacements. Billie's a big fan of theirs.

You know what we don't know though? What Emenius Sleepus means :D. Everyone should ask him!

I tweeted saying: "@BJAofficial was always under the impression that when referring to the whole album, it all came together. I guess not! Woops"

...and then minutes later, he posted that tweet saying "You can fuck off if you think we merged them together, you're a fucking asshole, etc. etc."

So you can imagine how my 'freaking out episode' played out, terrified that, for some ungodly reason, it was directed at me

But then I thought, I doubt he reads replies: he has 27,000 odd followers, think how many times his damn phone would vibrate if he got texts every two minutes or how many @mentions he'd have in his little inbox thingy. I don't think he'd go through the effort of reading them and randomly responding, at least I don't think he'd bother.

Not sure what sparked off his little rant, but I sure as hell aint calling 1,039/SOSH 39/Smooth because he has a problem with it. Build a bridge, dude.

I don't get it anyway. They are two different things. I'll keep saying 1,039SOSH, because that's the CD I have. It's not 39/Smooth, because that one was, like Billie says, an lp, and didn't include songs from 1,000 Hours or Slappy. I can't help it they only sell the "merged version" here.

Yeah, it's like "wtf?!" - I've always known it to be 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours because it's a collection of all the releases on one CD.

Well, I'm not gonna say "that's my favourite song off 39/Smooth and 1000 Hours and Slappy" just because it annoys Billie, haha.

You know what we don't know though? What Emenius Sleepus means :D. Everyone should ask him!

I asked him last night or two nights ago or something like that, haha. Though he obviously missed that one.

Woah, someone's on a bit of a rant. I don't really get it, like yeah if I'm referring to the CD I'll call it 1039SOSH but if I'm referring to one of teh LPs / EPs I'll call them by their name. Simples.

I think he meant he doesn't like people referring to 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours as their first album instead of 39/Smooth. 39/Smooth is their first album and the 1000 Hours and Slappy EPs are totally separate from it - and 1,039... was only created because bands could only get one CD put out back then.

Fair enough but no need to get angry about it really

I've always called 1039 Smooth Out Slappy Hours, just 39/Smooth. It wasn't until like...last year, that I realized the name came from a combination of the 3 releases.

Ah, interesting. Didn't know that.

I'm pretty sure he reads some replies. He's using Twitter for Blackberry, so he just has to look at the "Mentions" tab. I doubt he reads all of them, but he probably looks randomly.

i like how billie said happy birthday to paris hilton, and his wife simply said "paris", and then tweeted again just to make

clear she did NOT mean paris hilton  and that smiley she did was kinda cool! (but a little small )

Did he delete all of those pissed-off tweets? Because I can't see them, I had to read them from GDC.

So anyways, I think it's someone's time of month again. Jesus Christ, Billie, it isn't that big of a deal.

Well, at least we know who Platypus is about now.

Personally, if I were Billie, I'd be more angry or whatever when people think Dookie is their first record.

But I can understand why he needed to say this. Different EPs, different songs, different eras. It's not really clear on certain sites though. Like Green Day's official site. They list their first record as "39/Smooth", but the songs they listed as the tracklist are from the "1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours" album. Oh well. The music is great, that's what I care about :D
